Actor Sandesh Jadhav to play Police Officer for the first time in a Marathi play
Popularly known for his character of a Police officer in Marathi films and TV serials, Actor Sandesh Jadhav will now be playing a Police officer in a suspense filled Marathi play ‘You Must Die’ . This play is produced by Aditi Rao, written by Niraj Shirvaikar and directed by Vijay Kenkre. Along with Sandesh Jadhav, this play also stars Sharvari Lohakare, Saurabh Gokhale, Neha Kulkarni, Ajinkya Bhosale, Harshal Mhamunkar, Pramod Kadam, Vinita Date and Dhanesh Potdar.
Speaking about his role in this play, Sandesh Jadhav says,” Having played a Police officer in so many films and TV serials, I was actually avoiding to play a Police officer in Marathi plays and had even rejected such offers. But, when this offer to play a Police officer in ‘You Must Die’ came to me, I was impressed by the story. Moreover, this play was directed by Vijay kenkre and therefore I agreed to play this role. My role has different shades and therefore I get the pleasure of presenting them live on stage.”
No wonder, his role in this play and this suspense filled play is well accepted by the audience.
Special show of ‘Kaljayee Savarkar’ held at Raj Bhavan
Special Preview show of Marathi short film ‘Kaljayee Savarkar,’ was held in Jalvihar Auditorium, Raj Bhavan in presence of Governor of Maharashtra Mr. Bhagat Singh Koshyari. On this occasion, President of Bharatiya Vichar Darshan Mr. Sushrut Chitale welcomed the Governor. Also present on this occasion were dignitaries like Vidhan Sabha President Mr. Rahul Narvekar, MLA’s Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Praveen Darekar, Mr. Ramesh Patange, Kiran Shelar, Deepak Karambelkar and others.
Actor Saurabh Ggokhale as Veer Savarkar
All the invitees who appreciated this film were of the view that this film not only presented the biography of Veer Savarkar but also helped reach out his thinking process to the audience. Governor Mr. Koshyari called it an inspiring film which presented the all important aspects in the life of Veer Savarkar. The invitees also complimented the lead artistes of this film Mr. Manoj Joshi, Tejas Barve and Saurabh Gokhale, who were present for the show. This film is directed by renowned ad film maker Gopi Kukade with creative direction by Vinod Pawar.
Saurabh Gokhale to play Swatantryaveer Savarkar
Versatile stage, television and film actor Saurabh Gokhale will play the lead role of Swatantryaveer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar in the much talked about Marathi short film ‘Kaljayee Savarkar’ which is due for release soon. Another important role of Hindustan the country and also the narrator will be portrayed by veteran actor Manoj Joshi. This film will be released in different parts of Maharashtra soon. Shooting of ‘Back to School’ concludes
Each and every one of us have some good memories about our school days. In the past we have also seen few Marathi films on this subject. Few months ago a new Marathi film ‘Back to School’ was launched. Now, the shooting of this film has concluded and this film will be ready for release soon. Muhurat of ‘Back To School’ performed
Few months ago an official announcement was made about a Marathi film ‘Back To School’ with release of poster. However, there were no details disclosed about the star cast of the film, story and expected release date etc. However, now a proper muhurat ceremony of this film was held in Mumbai in presence of dignitaries like Meghraj Bhosale, President of Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Chitrapat Mahamandal , Mahesh Landge, MLA, and Coroprator Sonali Gavhane and stars of this film. All the three dignitaries will also be making their appearance in this film.
‘Back to school’ movie teaser

Maharashtra Celebrity Cricket league to be held in Thane
Popular Marathi film celebrities will take part in the Maharashtra Celebrity Cricket League which will be hosted by Thane Municipal Corporation along with filmmaker Viju Mane, Aakash Pendharkar & Sandeep Juvatkar with the support of Dilip Bhagat of D.B. Entertainment. The event will be held at renovated Dadoji Kondev Stadium Thane. During the official announcement of this tournament, Hon. M.P. Dr. Shrikant Eknath Shinde was also present along with other dignitaries and captains of all the teams, when the Trophy and theme song of this tournament was also unveiled.
Total six teams will be participating in this celebrity Cricket League. And the captains of these teams will be as follows: Sanjay Jadhav- Mumbaiche Mavale, Ankush Choudhari- Banedar Thane, Siddharth Jadhav- Konkanche Wagh, Mahesh Limaye- Khatarnak Mulshi, Saurabh Gokhale- Parakramni Pune & Vinod Satav- Ladhavaiyye Media. Music of ‘Sarva Line Vyasta Aahet’ released
The title of the film ‘Sarva Line Vyasta Aahet’ is very familiar with our daily life, while using the phone. Saurabh Gokhale to appear as Sant Dnyaneshwar in ‘Tu Majha Sangati’
Having performed as Sant Dnyaneshwar in few episodes of past TV serial ‘Aawaz‘ which presented stories of popular saints from Maharashtra, popular stage, TV and film actor Saurabh Gokhale has got an opportunity to portray the same character once again through forthcoming episodes of ongoing TV serial ‘Tu Majha Sangati‘.
Speaking about this role, Saurabh said,”When I got an opportunity to play Sant Dnyaneshwar in the serial ‘Aawaz –Itihasatlya Soneri Panancha‘, it was the biggest challenge. But, I could perform this difficult task, only due to efforts taken by director Virendra Pradhan. And, the audience appreciated my performance. Now, to play the same character once again, is another big challenge for me.”
In ‘Tu Majha Sangati‘ the makers would like to present the situation, when Dnyaneshwar along with Nivrutti, Sopan & Muktabai visit Sant Gora Kumbhar, when he showed the way to Sant Namdev and his pride. This story can be heard from Sant Tukaram in the coming week from Monday to Saturday at 7.30 pm.
