Hemant Dhome shoots Satarcha Salman song using his creativity
Every director has his own ideas especially when a song from the film is to be shot. Location plays very important role in song picturisation. And we have seen this happen in Hemant Dhome directed last film ‘Ye re Ye Re Paisa 2′. No wonder songs of this film were used during its trailer launch. Now, Hemant Dhome is busy shooting his next film ‘Satarcha Salman’ . Few days ago he revealed the names of two actresses opposite his lead hero Suyog Gorhe. Now, we understand that he shot an important song from this film with the wordings of the title of this film in Kenjal village in Satara.

The song depicts a colourful atmosphere with villagers wearing traditional dresses while dancing and Suyog Gorhe getting good response from co artistes in this dance sequence. Speaking about his humorous experience while picturing this song, he said, “I wanted a very suitable atmosphere around to picture this song. But, being a village I could not find proper background. Finally, I requested the villagers living around the main square of the village that I would like to paint their houses with different colours. And they agreed immediately. In fact, they came up with the choice of different bright colours selected by each one of them. Their prompt response only boosted my confidence and everything went on well.”

Actress like Spruha Joshi showed her fans the new way of worshipping eco friendly Ganesha, while popular Bigg Boss Marathi contestant Neha Shitole along with 100 volunteers from different social organisations took the lead in cleaning the Mumbai’s Juhu Beach the next day after the Ganesh immersion . When Maharashtra faced the biggest natural calamity due to floods last month, many Marathi celebrities came forward to offer help to the flood victims. And now, we find many Marathi artistes coming in the open to take their selfies on the backdrop of potholes in different parts of Mumbai to invite the attention of the administration towards the bad road conditions and sufferings of Mumbaikars.
Makers of ‘RomCom’ launch first 3D poster
Every Marathi film maker is trying to be different when it comes to launch his film or launch the poster of his film. Makers of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Rom Com’ launched 3D poster of their film, which has been tried first time in Marathi films. Sachin Shinde has produced this film under the banner of Dream launcher Entertainment, while the film will be presented by Mohan Sachdev and directed by Gorakh Jogdande.

Well suited to its title, this film presents a love story of Rahul and Suman. However, who are playing these two characters and who are the other artistes of this film has not been revealed yet. ‘It’s Social Time’ who are marketing this film have designed the 3D poster of this film. Till now, 3D posters of the films were seen in Hollywood and Bollywood, but this film has started this new trend in Marathi.

Marathi film ‘Mai Ghat Crime no. 103/2005′ bags best movie award in Singapore
Anant Narayan Mahadevan is a big name in film industry. The actor turned director is now in the news for having bagged the Best film award at the Singapore South Asian International Film Festival for his Marathi film ‘Mai Ghat: Crime no. 103/2005′, which has been edited and directed by him. Produced by Mohini Gupta, this film was nominated in 6 out of seven categories. Besides Best film award, the film has also bagged best editing( Anant Mahadevan) and best cinematography( Alphonse Roy) awards .

Based on a true story, this film revolves around a mother’s fight for her son who was wrongly arrested as a thief and tortured to death. According to a statement released by Ananth Narayan Mahadevan, the film raises a vital moral dilemma in the end. “Can one really win justice after everything is lost? I am thankful to those who left me, because they taught me I can do it alone.” the statement read.
Renowned Marathi actress Usha Jadhav plays the lead role of Prabha Mai in this film along with other versatile artistes like Suhasini Mulay as the lawyer, Kamlesh sawant as Cop, Girish Oak as CBI lawyer, Vibhavari Joshi as Sunanda and Vivek Chabukswar as Nitin Athavale. The film has also been officially selected in competition at the prestigious ‘The Asia Pacific Awards 2019′.
Son makes a film ‘Khichik’ for his father
In this film industry, We have heard father making a film for his son to launch him as an actor in films. But, in our Marathi film industry it will be happening the other way. Through the forthcoming Marathi film ‘Khichik’ Producer Sachin Dhakate will be presenting his father Anil Dhakate in an important role. Pritam SK Patil has written and directed this film.

Anil Dhakate who is an electrical engineer has served high post at administrative level.Though he didn’t have any exposure to acting, he was always curious about this field and always wished that he should be in acting field. His son Sachin has fulfilled his wish by offering a role of an illiterate grandfather in this film. The trailer of this film has also raised the curiosity of film lovers about this film.
Speaking about this film, Anil Dhakate says, “My son was aware about my wish and had was confident that I would be able to perform as an actor. When the script of this film came to him, he made his decision to offer me this important role. Therefore, it was a great experience for me. Fine gesture by Aaroh Velankar
At a time when many of our Bollywood artistes could not come together to help the flood victims of Maharashtra during the recent calamity, our Marathi artistes are doing a commendable work to raise the funds and help for these victims. Recently, Aroh Velankar, the finalist of ‘Big Boss 2 Marathi show’ also showed a fine gesture by donating Rs. 1 lakh towards flood relief fund after meeting the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Devendra Fadnavis.

Taking note of this fine gesture by this actor, the Chief Minister’s office also tweeted this news. Speaking about his help, Aroh said, “I have been helping for a social cause for a long time. But, I don’t like to make it public. This time, the Chief Minister’s office made it Public through their tweet.” He further added, “The natural calamity due to heavy rains was witnessed by me, while I was working on the Big Boss sets. And had made up my decision to offer some financial help from my side for this purpose.”
It may be recalled that Aroh is already associated with various social welfare organisations. He participates in awareness campaigns of ‘I Vote’ besides working for the welfare of handicapped people. With his active involvement in such social projects, his well wishers are all praise for him.
Marathi-Bengali talent Working together for Marathi film ‘Awanchit’
Through many Bollywood films of the past we have seen stories of Bengali writers and have also seen the Bengali culture. Also, many Bengalee artistes have been part of Bollywood in the past. But now, our Marathi film lovers will get to see the Bengali culture through forthcoming Marathi film ‘Awanchit’, for which Bengalee and Marathi talent are working together for the first time.

Produced by Pritam Choudhary, co produced by Vicky Sharma and directed by Shobho Basu Nag this film is presented by Fatfish Entertainment. The shooting of this film is going on at present in old and new Kolkatta city. The film presents the story of father and son with their widening relationship due to death of mother. Though the artistes of this film are Marathi, those behind the screen are Bangalee artistes. While producer Pritam has produced number of Bengalee films for the past 22 years, director Shubho Basu who is experienced in editing work for past two decades, will be making her debut as director in Marathi films.
‘Ganvesh’ fame producer-director Atul Jagadale is the cinematographer and creative producer of this film , who will play a proper connect between the Bengalee and Marathi artistes. Highlight of this film is that Poet turned actor Kishore Kadam will be seen in a different role. The film stars young pair of Abhay Mahajan and Mrunmayee Godbole along with Marathi artistes Dr. Mohan Agashe, Mrunal Kulkarni, Suhas Joshi, Yogesh Soman and Bengali actor Barun Chanda in lead role.
The film’s story is based on original story of director Shubho Basu while the screenplay and dialogues are penned by Yogesh Joshi. Lyrics by Omkar Kulkarni and music by bengali music director Anupam Roy are other credits.

Many film makers take advantage of this festival period by organising events at popular community Ganapati festivals in different parts of Mumbai and Pune. Kavya Dream Movies who are producing forthcoming Marathi film ‘Pratignya’ had organised unveiling of poster of their film at the Ganeshgalli Community Ganesh Festival, Lalbaug, to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha recently.

During this ceremony all those connected with this film were present, including writer Ashish Ningurkar, actor-and co producer Ajit Vasant Pawar, artistes Pradeep Kadu, Sunil Jadhav, Siddhesh Dalvi, production managers Pratish Sonavne and Swapnil Nimbalkar. Speaking on this occasion writer Ashish Ningurkar said that his film is based on real life incident and therefore besides entertainment would also send across a strong social message. Popular drama artiste Pradeep Kadu also expressed his views stating that such subjects should be highlighted through feature films to create awareness in the society.
After a long time Bharat Jadhav and Subodh Bhave reunite on big screen
Lord Ganesha is addressed as Ganapati Bappa in Maharashtra during Ganapati festival. During this Ganapati festival the poster of a film ‘Appa ani Bappa’ with a tagline ‘Appa Yetoy Bappa sobat’, which in English means ‘Appa is coming along with bappa’ had become very popular among the film lovers, as it carried the picture of Subodh Bhave carrying Bharat Jadhav sitting on a wooden platform. Therefore there is a lot of curiosity about this film which is scheduled for release on 11th October 2019.

There is no doubt that this poster which has been presented on the backdrop of Ganapati festival will also have some involvement of Ganapati bappa in its story. Garishma Productions who have presented Bollywood films like ‘Son of Sardar’ and ‘Atithi Tum kab jaoge’ have presented this Marathi film, to make their debut in Marathi. Produced by Garma Dhir and Jalaj Dhir the story of this film is written by Ashwini Dhir and Arvind Jagtap with cinematography by Surya Mishra. Sayali Sanjeev and Shivani Surve to play female lead in ‘Satarcha Salman’
Recently, when the teaser of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Satarcha Salman’ was unveiled on social media it presented the dashing look of lead actor Suyog Gorhe . And it received overwhelming response from the viewers. But, there was curiosity among the viewers to know who was in the female lead in this film. Now, this curtain has been raised and it has been disclosed that there will be two female artistes in the female lead.

Sayali Sanjeev and Shivani Surve are the two faces in the female lead opposite Suyog Gorhe in this film, which has been indicated through their character poster released on social media. While Sayali sanjeev will be playing the innocent and simple character of Madhuri Mane, the bold and dashing character of Deepika Bhosale will be played by Shivani Surve. Now, it remains to be seen who will be the heroine of Suyog Gorhe in this film?
