The trailer of much awaited multi-starrer Marathi film ‘Wedding cha Shinema’ was released today The trailer of the film gives a glimpse of all those celebrated modern weddings in middle-class Marathi families. The trailer gives an idea of high-quality production values and subtle acting by all the leading actors who ensure family entertainment. The trailer also showcases pre-wedding shooting, dance practice by family members and a lot of discussions over the changing trends in the wedding ceremonies. The film is now all set to release on April 12.
Featuring renowned artistes like Mukta Barve, Bhau Kadam, Shivaji Satam, Alka Kubal, Sunil Barve, Ashwini Kalsekar, Pravin Tarde, Sankarshan Karhade, Prajakta Hanamghar, Yogini Pofale along with lead pair Shivraj Waichal and Rucha Inamdar, it will be interesting to witness their performance in ‘Wedding cha Shinema’ film. The story of the film is written by and revolves around many lighters, soothing moments that we witness during the wedding ceremonies taking place around us. The film will also test the acumen of Saleel in the departments of story, screenplay, dialogues, music, and direction.

Marathi film ‘Baloch’ will unfold the truth behind post Panipat war situation
Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Baloch’ Presented by Jivan Jadhav, produced by Jitesh More and directed by Prakash Pawar will unfold the truth behind the historical post Panipat war situation, which is not known to many people. Recently, the teaser poster of this film was launched on social media. ‘Baloch’ will be the third film from director Prakash Pawar after directing films like ‘Ranjan’ and ‘Mithun’.
Another highlight of this film is that director- actor Pravin Tarde and National award winning director Bhaurao Nanasaheb Karhade will be seen acting together for the first time . Along with them will be fresh talents in the form of Vishal Nikam, Rohit Aawale. Shooting of ‘Baloch’ will begin from the month of June in Rajasthan. We are all aware that the defeat in the war of Panipat was the biggest wound suffered by Marathas, which forced them to live like slaves in Baluchistan. Their valour during this time is what ‘Baloch’ film is all about.
“I am well aware of the power of television” – Amruta Khanvilkar
Last year she was in great form in Bollywood, having performed prominent roles in two films and one web series. And this year we find her making her acting debut in Marathi television serial through forthcoming much talked about Star Pravah’s serial ‘Jeevlaga’ Met Amruta Khanvilkar during the official announcement of this serial at a function in Mumbai. And among the four lead artistes, we found her very much excited that evening. She was the first one to jump with excitement when it Star Pravah’s Satish Rajwade made an announcement to get ready to watch the first look of this serial .
Amruta is playing the role of an ambitious woman Kavya opposite Swapnil Joshi who is playing the role of Vishwas, who is a writer. It may be recalled that Amruta who has completed 15 years of her acting career, seemed committed to her profession as far as her fitness is concerned. She looked as fresh as she was during her debut in films 15 years ago. Speaking about her entry into Marathi serial, she said , “I am well aware of the power of television. You become popular in every Marathi household. But, more than that I was highly impressed by the content of this serial and also liked my role.”
Finally, defining in a simple way the title ‘Jeevlaga’ she philosophically said, “Whom we see after closing our eyes, is Jeevalaga. Because of whom we exist is Jeevlaga.” We are all aware about her hard work and sincerity and therefore look forward to see the best from this talented actress through this serial which will go on air from 8th April 2019.
Star Pravah to offer a big surprise to home viewers in the form of ‘Jeevlaga’
Over the years Star Pravah Marathi TV channel has offered many successful serials which had become favourite of home viewers. Now, with Satish Rajwade joining Star Pravah as Content & Programming Head, we notice a change in the content from this month onward. There are some big forthcoming projects lined up for the telecast. But, the biggest surprise will be in the form of a new serial ‘Jeevlaga‘ starring Swwapnil Joshi, Amruta Khanvilkar, Siddharth Chandekar, and Madhura Deshpande. The serial will be aired from 8th April 2019 at 8.30 PM between Monday and Saturday.
An official announcement to this effect was made by Mr. Satish Rajwade himself during a media briefing on Tuesday evening. All the four artistes were personally present on this occasion and they were systematically introduced by Mr. Rajwade. The theme of ‘Jeevlaga‘ serial presented by Mr. Satish Rajwade is inspired by Dr. Chandrashekhar Phansalkar’s story. The highlight of this serial is the comeback of Swwapnil Joshi, Siddharth Chandekar and also Madhura Deshpande to the small screen. But, above all popular Marathi and Hindi film actress Amruta Khanvilkar will be making her acting debut on Marathi small screen.
On this occasion, the first look of this serial was presented which was appreciated by one and all, with ‘Once more’ demand. Answering some of the doubts raised by media persons, Mr. Satish Rajwade assured that there will not be any changes in the story of this serial, as the start and end of the story has already been decided and the artistes and the director Mr. Namjoshi have been clearly told about the same. All the four artistes who also spoke on this occasion were all praise for the script of this serial, which they felt was a different kind of love story. They avoided giving more details about their characters but assured that the story will be appreciated by one and all. The serial is produced by Mr. Vidyadhar Pathare.

We are all aware that the game of Kabaddi has gained a lot of popularity during the past two years, with the Kabaddi league inviting all the attention during direct match telecast of Superleague on Sports channels. So, what if a Marathi film on the backdrop of this popular Indian game which is also popular in Maharashtra is made with popular stars?
Yes, we are talking about forthcoming Marathi film ‘Sur Sapata‘ which is all set to release on 21st March 2019. The film stars popular Marathi actor Upendra Limaye along with a big team of youngsters who are good at this popular Indian game of Kabaddi. There are other artists like Pravin Tarde, youngster Hansraj Jagtap, comedy King Bharat Ganeshpure and above all Sanjay Jadhav, who is playing the main villain, for a change.
Interestingly, this sports-based film is releasing at a time when another popular game of Cricket is all set to begin the Indian Premier League. So, it remains to be seen, whether Kabaddi of ‘Sur Sapata‘ will score over the cricket popularity?

Directed by Shrabani Deodhar’s ‘Mogara Phulala’ to release on 14th June
Director Shrabani Deodhar will be back after a long break, with her star studded Marathi film ‘Mogara Phulala‘ which is produced by Arjun Singh Baran and Kartik Nishandar of Global Sports Entertainment and Media Solutions Private Limited (GSEAMS). Interestingly, the film features Swwapnil Joshi, Sai Shakti Anand, Neena Kulkarni, Chandrakant Kulkarni, Sandeep Pathak, Suhita Thatte, Anand Ingle, Samidha Guru, Vighnesh Joshi, Sanyogita Bhave, Dipti Bhagwat, Prachi Joshi, Vikram Gaikwad, Prasad Limaye, Harsha Gupte, Sonam Nishandar, Siddhirupa Karmarkar, Madhuri Bharti, Suprit Kadam, Anuradha Rajadhyaksha and Aditya Deshmukh.
Speaking about her film Shrabani says, “I am very glad to stage a comeback to Direction after a long time with my film ‘Mogara Phulala’. It has a very uniquely blended love story of a different kind which revolves around a boy who is so deeply involved in his family matters that he does not realize that he has crossed the age of marriage, until one day when he falls in love with a very strong and independent woman and realizes that his love for her though she belongs to an entirely different world“.
