With his handsome looks the so called chocolate boy Sumedh Mudgalkar could find the lead role of young Krishna in the ongoing Popular big budget TV Serial ‘Radha Krishna‘. And this enabled him to attain name and fame in this entertainment industry. Today, with the popularity of this serial, he has become the heartthrob of millions of young girls. His followers on the social networking sites is the best example of his popularity.
It may be recalled that Sumedh had worked in Marathi films like ‘Ventilator‘, ‘Manja‘ and ‘Bucket List‘. The trailer of ‘Me Shivaji Park’ generates a lot of interest
Film maker Mahesh Manjrekar’s next Marathi film ‘Me Shivaji Park‘ has generated a lot of interest , ever since the trailer of this film was released on social networking sites. The name ‘Shivaji‘ has also proved lucky for the film maker, after making a hit film like ‘Me Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy‘.
Though the theme of this film ‘Me Shivaji Park‘ hasn’t been revealed, but the happenings shown in the trailer suggest a lot. With all big names like Vikram Gokhale, Dilip Prabhavalkar, Satish Alekar, Ashok Saraf and Shivaji Satam coming together, the film has already generated curiosity, since the day it was announced.
The shooting and post production of this film is now complete and it is all set to release on 18th October 2018. And this is certainly a good news for the month of October. With one Lavani already out on social sites, now we also come to know that Mr. Shivaji Satam is playing a Parsi gentleman . Moreover it is about some mystery involving these morning walk group of senior citizens. So, obviously it is the topic of interest.
Two Marathi films lines up for release coming Friday
Every year, the Pitru Paksha used to bother many film makers while releasing their films during this period. But, after watching the success of films released during this period, now during this ongoing Pitru Paksha we find two Marathi films for simultaneous release coming Friday. ‘Boyz-2‘ which is a sequel of hit film ‘Boyz‘ is releasing along with ‘Hrudayat Something Something‘, thus creating a good competition between themselves.
While ‘Boyz-2‘ will be targeting the young audience, with a team of young successful artistes all set to win the hearts of their fans, ‘Hridayat Something Something‘ also has a young lead stars like Aniket Vishwasrao, Sneha Chavan & Priyanka Yadav to entertain the youngsters. But, the highlight of the film is presence of one big super star of Marathi and he is Ashok Saraf . While ‘Boyz-2‘ is directed by Vishal Devrukhkar , ‘Hrudayat Something Something‘ is directed by Pravin Raja karle. So, let us wait and see which film succeeds in inviting more crowds at theatre windows on coming Friday.
‘Kachha Limbu’, ‘Muramba’ & ‘Ringan’ share honours at Jio Filmfare awards
Ever since the separate Filmfare awards for Marathi films have been introduced, the ‘Black lady’ has been the big attraction for Marathi artistes. In the 4th Jio Filmfare awards held on Thursday evening two Marathi films namely: ‘Kaccha Limbu‘ and ‘Muramba‘ shared maximum honours in different sections. While ‘Kaccha Limbu‘ bagged 4 awards including the best film, best director (Prasad Oak) and best actress ( Sonali Kulkarni) awards, ‘Muramba‘ bagged 5 awards including the best actor ( Amey Wagh), best supporting actress ( Chinmayee Sumeet) and best debut ( Mithila Palkar) awards.
The award for best supporting actor went to Girish Kulkarni for his performance in the film ‘Faster Fene‘, while the best debut ( male) went to Abhinay Berde for his performance in the film ‘Tee saddhya Kaay Karte‘. In the Critics award section, ‘Halaal‘ bagged the best film award, while the best actress and best actor awards in this section went to Irawati Harshe( Film: Kasav) and Shashank Shende( Ringan). Film ‘Ringan‘ also bagged four more awards for best child actor( Sahil Joshi), best debut in direction ( shared between Varun Narvekar & Makarand Mane) , best story ( Makarand Mane) & best playback singer( Adarsh Shinde) .
Anchors Amey Wagh and Suvrat Joshi entertained the audience at the NESCO venue at Goregaon and the Lifetime achievement award in Music was conferred upon veteran music legend Hridaynath Mangeshkar.

Kalyan Girl Pratiksha Sable is inviting all the attention

Her forthcoming film include the much appreciated in the Festival Circuit ‘Copy‘ which has received awards as the best film in Sanskruti Kala Darpan 2018 and Maharashtra Rajya Chitrapat Mahotsav, Best Debut film -2018. Girish Kulkarni’s unusual appearance in ‘Boyz 2′ item song
Known for some of his variety of roles in films like ‘Valu‘, ‘Vihir‘, ‘Pune 52‘, ‘Highway‘ in Marathi and Hindi films like ‘Ugly‘, ‘Dangal‘ & ‘Kabil‘, talented Marathi actor Girish Kulkarni will now be seen in an unusual role in forthcoming much talked about film ‘Boyz 2‘, Girish Kulkarni has performed in a ‘Todfod‘ kind of item song along with Suvarna Kale, which was seen as the highlight of this film. This song is targeted at young audience and is rendered by popular singers Mugdha Karhade, Ganesh Chandanshiv & Prasanjit Kosambi.
‘Boyz 2‘ will focus on the story of the schoolboys who are now into college life. So, the audience will once again witness the mischief of Sumant Shinde, Parth Bhalerao & Pratik Lad in part 2 also. Directed by Vishal Deorukhkar the film is presented by Eros International and Everest Entertainment in association with Avadhoot Gupte. The presenters have also planned to distribute this film at international level, when it will be officially released on 5th October 2018.
Namrata Awate will play prominent role in ‘Salman Society’
The finalist of popular Television reality show ‘Maharashtracha Superstar‘ Namrata Awate went on to show her talent through various TV programmes, including ‘Fu Bai Fu‘. Later, she also proved her ability as an actress on big screen through films like ‘Babu Band Baja‘, ‘Ventilator‘, ‘Kiran Kulkarni v/s Kiran Kulkarni‘, & ‘Looose Control‘. Now, Namrata Awate will play a prominent role in forthcoming Marathi film ‘Salman Society‘.
During the shooting of this film recently, Namrata walked in a special costume clearly indicating that she was doing a different type of role, but the makers of this film have not yet revealed the details of her character. A song ‘Party Dananali…‘ was picturised during the shooting of this film in which young artistes like Pushkar Lonarkar, Shubham More, Vinayak Potdar and Gaurav More, all popular child artistes took part. Made under the banner of Prajakta Enterprises, the film is directed by Kailsah Kashinath Pawar.
The remaining part of shooting will be held in Mumbai & Navi Mumbai and the film will be released by the end of this year in December 2018.
Makers of ‘Ahilya – Zunj Ekaki’ honoured by ‘Patrakar Sangharsh Samiti’
Amit Dinesh Bhai Patel, President of ‘Patrakar Sangharsh Samiti‘ organized the grand release function of ‘Gujarat Patrakar Directory‘ recently at Pandit Dindayal Hall, Vadodara in Gujarat. During this function, the unit of Marathi film ‘Ahilya – Zunj Ekaki‘ from Mumbai were specially invited. Their Marathi film ‘Ahilya – Zunj Ekaki‘ is slated for release soon. Stalwarts like Shri Vrajraj Kumar Maharaj, Shri Suchetan Swami, Shastri Nayanbhai Joshi, socialist Dilip Patel, art director Chetan Chudasama and many other well-known celebrities were present on this occasion.
Renowned director Raju Parsekar known for his hit films like ‘Laathi Charge‘, ‘Teen Baika Fajiti Aaika‘, ‘Saat Naa Gat‘ amongst others, including successful television serials like ‘Hum Sub Ek Hain‘, ‘Man Mein Vishwas Hai‘,’Saheb Biwi And T.V.‘ was excited about his upcoming Marathi film, ‘Ahilya – Zunj Ekaki‘. Pravin Tarde’s dance in ‘Mulshi Pattern’ goes viral on social media
We have often seen item numbers performed by actresses becoming popular during the promotion of a particular Marathi film. We have also seen some item numbers performed by male actors becoming equally popular in Bollywood. But now, actor- director Pravin Tarde has performed a so called Bhai item song ‘Ara ra ra,ararara ..khatarnak‘ in his forthcoming Marathi film ‘Mulshi Pattern‘. And surprisingly, this song has become viral on social media.
Till now, Pravin Tarde has established himself as a popular character actor and director through Marathi films. Now, through this dance number he will be recognised as a dancer too. Choreographer Umesh Jadhav seems to have taken extra efforts during picturisation of this dance sequence and Narendra Bhide‘s music has also added that required rhythm into this song. Presented by Abhijit Bhosale, the theme of this film throws light on the problems faced by farmers and is based on the crimes taking place in a village.
