Sonalee is celebrating 12 years in acting profession
From 2006 till date Sonalee Kulkarni has performed in 24 films ( including 2 Hindi films), which is a good progress for a young talented Marathi actress . Sonalee began her innings in acting profession with 2006 Marathi film ‘Gauri‘ and last we saw her in the film ‘Hampi‘, offering variety of roles through different characters she has played so far. Popular Bollywood actor Kay Kay Menon is all set to open his innings in Marathi cinema that too in a film which is to be directed by actor turned director Lokesh Gupte. Produced by Devi Satori Productions this film titled ‘Ek Sangaychay…Unsaid Harmony‘ also stars Rajeshwari Sachdev in the lead role opposite Kay Kay. Recently, the poster of this film was unveiled on social networking sites.

Teaser of ‘Mumbai Pune Mumbai-3′ unveiled
After achieving success five years ago and its sequel two years ago, the third part of the film ‘Mumbai Pune Mumbai‘ is all set for release by this year end i.e. on 7th December 2018 . The Teaser of this much awaited film ‘Mumbai Pune Mumbai-3‘ was launched all over the state today. The Teaser gives an idea of the journey that moves ahead in the life of the hit couple of the film featured by popular stars Swapnil Joshi and Mukta Barve.
Speaking on this occasion, director Satish Rajwade said, “We did not expect Mumbai Pune Mumbai (MPM) to be successful to such an extent. MPM has now become a cult, setting a trend of one of its kind love story and has become a habit with the audience. People are now more curious about the lives of Gautam and Gauri and relate themselves with the happenings in the lives of the couple. While shooting for ‘Mumbai Pune Mumbai’, we did not expect that we will go for a sequel. But, during the making of its second part we realized that there was a room for the third part as well. The trailer of ‘Me Shivaji Park’ generates a lot of interest
Film maker Mahesh Manjrekar’s next Marathi film ‘Me Shivaji Park‘ has generated a lot of interest , ever since the trailer of this film was released on social networking sites. The name ‘Shivaji‘ has also proved lucky for the film maker, after making a hit film like ‘Me Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy‘.
Though the theme of this film ‘Me Shivaji Park‘ hasn’t been revealed, but the happenings shown in the trailer suggest a lot. Two Marathi films lines up for release coming Friday
Every year, the Pitru Paksha used to bother many film makers while releasing their films during this period. But, after watching the success of films released during this period, now during this ongoing Pitru Paksha we find two Marathi films for simultaneous release coming Friday. ‘Boyz-2‘ which is a sequel of hit film ‘Boyz‘ is releasing along with ‘Hrudayat Something Something‘, thus creating a good competition between themselves.
While ‘Boyz-2‘ will be targeting the young audience, with a team of young successful artistes all set to win the hearts of their fans, ‘Hridayat Something Something‘ also has a young lead stars like Aniket Vishwasrao, Sneha Chavan & Priyanka Yadav to entertain the youngsters. But, the highlight of the film is presence of one big super star of Marathi and he is Ashok Saraf . While ‘Boyz-2‘ is directed by Vishal Devrukhkar , ‘Hrudayat Something Something‘ is directed by Pravin Raja karle. So, let us wait and see which film succeeds in inviting more crowds at theatre windows on coming Friday.
‘Kachha Limbu’, ‘Muramba’ & ‘Ringan’ share honours at Jio Filmfare awards
Ever since the separate Filmfare awards for Marathi films have been introduced, the ‘Black lady’ has been the big attraction for Marathi artistes. In the 4th Jio Filmfare awards held on Thursday evening two Marathi films namely: ‘Kaccha Limbu‘ and ‘Muramba‘ shared maximum honours in different sections. While ‘Kaccha Limbu‘ bagged 4 awards including the best film, best director (Prasad Oak) and best actress ( Sonali Kulkarni) awards, ‘Muramba‘ bagged 5 awards including the best actor ( Amey Wagh), best supporting actress ( Chinmayee Sumeet) and best debut ( Mithila Palkar) awards.
The award for best supporting actor went to Girish Kulkarni for his performance in the film ‘Faster Fene‘, while the best debut ( male) went to Abhinay Berde for his performance in the film ‘Tee saddhya Kaay Karte‘. In the Critics award section, ‘Halaal‘ bagged the best film award, while the best actress and best actor awards in this section went to Irawati Harshe( Film: Kasav) and Shashank Shende( Ringan). Film ‘Ringan‘ also bagged four more awards for best child actor( Sahil Joshi), best debut in direction ( shared between Varun Narvekar & Makarand Mane) , best story ( Makarand Mane) & best playback singer( Adarsh Shinde) .
Anchors Amey Wagh and Suvrat Joshi entertained the audience at the NESCO venue at Goregaon and the Lifetime achievement award in Music was conferred upon veteran music legend Hridaynath Mangeshkar.
