Ashwini Bhave celebrates her birthday with her family members in USA
Many celebrities from Bollywood and Marathi film industry are known for celebrating their birthdays with their well wishers and friends either on the sets of their films or by throwing a party in a hotel for their well wishers and friends. Some prefer to celebrate privately in their houses in presence of their near and dear ones. And, actress Ashwini Bhave is one of them. Even before moving to USA, after her marriage, Ashwini Bhave always used to celebrate her birthday at home.
This year too Ashwini Bhave celebrated her birthday at her home in San Francisco USA with her family members. Every year, her daughter prepares the cake for her birthday and this year too it came as a gift from her daughter. Ashwini’s relatives also live nearby and they also join her birthday, which is celebrated in her house. There is one more gift that comes from her husband and that is special dinner outing with Ashwini. “This is what makes me happy,” says Ashwini Bhave. But, recalling her childhood birthdays, she says, “Every year on my birthday, there used to be mango juice as special menu, which I never used to like.”
Milind Ukey’s ‘Sobat’ to release on 25th May
Milind Ukey who earlier directed Hindi films like ‘Pathshala‘, ‘Humne Jeena Sikh Liya‘, ‘Dehradoon Diary‘ and ‘Hanuman‘ has now directed a Marathi film ‘Sobat‘, which is now ready for release all over Maharashtra on 25th May 2018. It may be recalled that through his Hindi film ‘Humne Jeena Sikh Liya‘, he had introduced Marathi artistes Siddharth Chandekar & Mrunmayee Deshpande , while they were teenagers. Produced by Kashmira Films and presented by Gurunath Mithbaokar , this new film ‘Sobat‘ presents a love story of a two collegians Karan and Gauri.
When Karan faces opposition from Gauri’s home, he marries Gauri. But, after that Karan faces big trouble. How, Karan and Gauri face this situation, is what the story is of this film is all about. Through his previous films, director Milind Ukey has handled different subjects very effectively. Therefore, there are big expectations from this film too. The film ‘Sobat‘ presents a fresh pair in the form of Himanshu Visale and Monalisa Bagal along with other important artistes like Ruchira Jadhav, Girish Pardeshi, Smita Gondkar, Nagesh Bhosale, Pradeep Velankar, Vijay Gokhale, Manoj Takne, Abhilasha Patil, Ashwin Patil & Kaustabh Joshi .
‘Redu’ does double dhamaka
Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Redu‘ has been in the news for the past few months before its official release. And the reason being that this film has been inviting all the attention at the various international film festivals. Just few days a go on the Maharashtra day, this film did a double dhamaka. Besides winning the prestigious state award for the best film, it also won the best film award at the Dadasaheb Phalke Film festival at Delhi.
Actually, ‘Redu‘ had received nine nominations in different categories in the state awards and went on to win six out of nine individual awards. The film had already won one declared award for Shrikant Desai for best make up. So, besides best film award, the film’s director Sagar Vanjari won the best direction award. The other awards for this film were bagged by Shashank Shende- best actor, best music – Narayan Gavande, best screenplay- Sanjay Navagire and best singer- Ajay Gogavale. The film will be released in theatres on 18th May 2018.
First look Poster of Marathi film ‘Ipitar’ launched
Now days more and more Marathi films are set on the backdrop of rural Maharashtra, with usage of local language style of that particular rural area. Even otherwise, Marathi films are based more on good scripts and simple characters from village and their dialect. The title of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Ipitar‘ clearly indicates the same. Produced by Kiran berad & Nitin Kolhapure and presented by Dr.Sonali Patil and Dr.Sandeep Satyadeo Roy, this film is directed by Datta Tarde.
The film ‘Ipitar‘ presents the story of three shrewd youngsters from a village in a humorous way, besides passing a social message. The film ‘Ipitar‘ stars Bharat Ganeshpure, Milind Shinde, Prakash Dhotre, Jayesh Chavan, Vijay Gite, Ganesh Khade, Nikita Sukhdev, and Vrunda Bal in lead roles. Recently, the first look poster of ‘Ipitar‘ film was launched. And, the film is all set to release on 8th June 2018 all over Maharashtra.

‘राजा‘ या आगामी मराठी सिनेमाच्या निमित्ताने आजवर समोर न आलेले प्रेमातील नवे पैलू आपल्यासमोर येणार आहेत. दिग्दर्शक शशिकांत देशपांडे यांनी त्रिकोणी प्रेमकथेच्या माध्यमातून ‘राजा‘ या सिनेमाची कथा सादर केली आहे.
निर्माते प्रवीण काकड यांनी ‘सत्यसाई मल्टिमिडीया प्रा. लि.‘ या संस्थेअंतर्गत ‘राजा‘ चित्रपटाची निर्मिती केली असून दिग्दर्शनासोबतच सिनेमाच्या लेखनाची जबाबदारीही शशिकांत देशपांडे यांनी सांभाळली आहे. ‘राजा‘ या सिनेमाची कथा एका पॅाप सिंगरच्या जीवनावर आधारित आहे. नैसर्गिक आवाजाची सुरेल देणगी लाभलेल्या एका शेतकऱ्याच्या मुलाचा पॉप सिंगर बनण्याचा प्रवास या सिनेमात आहे. देशपांडे यांनी त्रिकोणी प्रेमकथेच्या माध्यमातून राजा’ ची कथा सादर केली आहे. राजाच्या जीवनात येणाऱ्या दोन्ही नायिका त्याला त्याच्या प्रवासात यथोचित साथ देतात.

Pooja Sawant wins State award for best actress
After making her acting debut in Marathi films in 2010 through ‘Kshanbhar Vishranti‘ the tall and gorgeous actress Pooja Sawant has performed variety of roles in about 16 films till now. Her best performances were in the films ‘Poshter Boyz‘, ‘Neelkanth Master‘, ‘Dagadi Chawl‘ , ‘Lapachhapi‘ & ‘Bhetali Tu Punha‘, where she had ample scope to display her talent. And now, she has been rewarded with Maharashtra State Award for best actress i.e. Smita Patil Award for her performance in the film ‘Bhetali Tu Punha‘.

Marathi film ‘Ashtvakra’ will focus nexus between System and criminals.
For a human being, his Family and the society play very important part in life. But, today some people behave as if they don’t believe in something like ‘values‘. It gives an impression that such people have lost mental balance in the society. Sensible people term them in brief as criminals. Big question is that how these people turn criminals ? All these aspects will be unfolded through forthcoming Marathi film ‘Ashtvakra‘. The film is all set to release across Maharashtra on the 8th June 2018.
Mr.Pradeep Salunke besides writing the script of this film has also directed it. Speaking about his film ‘Ashtvakra’, he said that he has strived hard for bringing this film to the screen from the last 3 years. “It was a huge tight rope challenge to remain in the legal framework and still be able to present the theme of the film precisely. Being my venture film, I have created this film with utmost finesse in bringing the scenes alive. As this was also the first film for other artists as well, they have tried their level best in giving justice to the film,” he added.
Actors Vidyadhar Joshi, Mayuri Mandlik, Mangesh Giri, Veena Arun, Harshada Bamne, Preeti Torne-Koli are playing major roles in the film. Cinematography is by Vimal Mishra, editing by Subodh Narkar, Lyrics by Mayuri Mandlik and Music by Chandrodaya Ghosh are other credits.
‘Vantass’ gets ready for release on 4th May

A love story of Gauri and Ambya penned by Sudarshan Mahamuni , the film is set on the backdrop of rural Maharashtra, ‘Vantass‘ is produced by Amol Bapurao Lavate and directed by Dnyaneshwar Yadavrao Umak.
‘Vantass‘ Film has newcomers like Ajay Warpe, Snehal Salunkhe, Akshay Mahulkar, Ramesh Vedpathak, Mrunalini Ranaware, Manmohan Mahimkar & Pradeep Navale in the lead roles. Actor Vicky Kaushal is Amruta Khanvilkar’s new fan
We are all aware that Amruta Khanvilkar is performing in Dharma Productions Hindi film ‘Raazi‘ directed by Meghna Gulzar. During the shooting of ‘Raazi‘ film, Vicky Kaushal came to know that it was Amruta Khanvilkar on whom the famous Marathi song ‘Vajale Ki Bara‘ was shot. Actually, Vicky knew the song very well, but didn’t know that the performer was Amruta Khanvilkar. So, in excitement he went to Amruta Khanvilkar and in front of all, confessed that he was a great fan of her.
Amruta Khanvilkar was also surprised with this confession from him, as she too was his great fan after watching his performance in the film ‘Masan‘. Vicky did not stop here. He along with Amruta Khanvilkar performed on the song ‘Vajale Ki Bara‘ that night after the shooting. Giving her reaction on this incidence, Amruta Khanvilkar said, “Every year on the occasion of International dance Day, I am always asked to name my favourite dancer. But, this year, I received a compliment from an actor like Vicky that I was the best dancer. This has certainly boosted my confidence.”
