Unusual Promotion of Children’s film ‘Monkey Baat’ begins on Hanuman Jayanti
Now days we have been watching new ways of promotions adopted by the makers of Marathi films. And one such unusual promotion was held on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti by the makers of the forthcoming Marathi children’s film ‘Monkey Baat’. This scene was noticed at Bansidhar Hanuman Mandir on Pokhran Road, Thane. A monkey arrived in this temple and stood in front of the Hanuman idol with folded hands. Watching this, people started gathering in large number. The monkey then joined the people, when little children also folded their hands in front of this monkey. The monkey then started talking to them in their language.
After some time, going closer to the monkey they all found that it was a small boy in the get up of a monkey. Was this April fool on the eve of all Fools day ? The answer could be ‘Yes’ or ‘No’. But, it was a part of promotion of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Monkey Baat’ a children’s Marathi film written and directed by Viju Mane. The film will be released during summer vacation on 18th May 2018 all over Maharashtra. Renowned make up artiste of Bollywood films Mr. Vidyadhar Bhatte had specially created this make up for the boy, using silicon material, so that the boy had no problem in breathing. It took him 15 days to present the boy in this get up.
When Tejashree Pradhan’s Laptop went missing…..
Many times important things of lead artistes go missing during the shooting schedule of the film. But, sometimes the co-artistes try to fool such artistes by hiding their things, to watch their reaction. One such incidence took place with popular actress Tejashree Pradhan, during the shooting of her film ‘Asehi Ekada Vhave’. Tejashree was shooting in Pune. When she left her hotel for shooting, she remembered that she had forgotten her laptop in the room. So, she informed her co-star Umesh Kamat about it.
Umesh along with the Executive producer Ashutosh tried to fool Tejashree. So, they informed the hotel reception to keep the Laptop from Tejashree’s room with them. After returning to the hotel the entire unit members of the film started helping Tejashree to search her missing laptop. Finally, watching Tejashree’s saddened face, Umesh and director Sushrut brought the hidden laptop and presented to her, posing that they found it. And, this saw a big smile on her face.
‘Asehi Ekada Vhave’ stars Umesh and Tejashree in lead roles along with Sharvani Pilley, Dr.Nikhil Rajeshirke, Chirag Patil, Kavita Lad and Ajit Bhure. The film is now set for release on 6th April 2018.

‘Wagherya’ promises fool 2 Entertainment
As the month of April begins, it’s time to fool people and generate entertainment. Now Lalasaheb Shinde and Rajendra Shinde are presenting one such film ‘Wagherya‘ which promises so called Fool 2 entertainment.
Produced by Rahul Shinde , Ketan Madiwale and Written & directed by Sameer Asha Patil , ‘Wagherya‘ film has renowned comedians Kishore Kadam, Bharat Ganeshpure & Hrishikesh Joshi in the star cast of this film, along with other versatile artistes like Suhas Palshikar, Nandkishore Chougule, Leena Bhagwat & Chhaya Kadam. Now, it remains to be seen whether this team will make the audience laugh during this summer vacation.
‘Tula Pan Bashing Bandhaychay’ to release on 30th March
Jailaxmi Vaishnavi Film production are all set to present their Marathi film ‘Tula Pan Bashing Bandhaychay‘ on 30th March 2018. Produced by Bhanudas Vyavahare and Dattatray Mohite this film is written and directed by Bhanudas Vyavahare. This is a woman oriented film presenting the story of a young couple Varsha and Aakash who get married with mutual consent. But, their life takes a new turn soon thereafter. The film has highlighted the problems in married life, expectations from youngsters from their parents and at the same time the viewpoint of parents.
There will be five songs of different genres in ‘Tula Pan Bashing Bandhaychay’ film penned by Bhanudas Vyavahare with music by Agnel Roman . Popular singers like Vaishali made, Suhas sawant, Prasanjit Kosambi have rendered their voices for the songs. Music arranger is Vilas Gujar and cinematographer is Siddhesh More. The film stars Vikram Gokhale, Suresh Vishvakarma, Yatin Karyekar, Sunil Godbole, Bhakti Chavan, Shweta Kharat, Suvarna kale, Ritesh Nagrale, Rahul Patil, harsha Sharma, Arjun Jadhav & Shankar Suryavanshi.
Madhuri Dixit is getting ready with her debut Marathi film ‘Bucket List’
For the past few months Madhuri Dixit has been in the news, while shooting for her debut Marathi film ‘Bucket List‘. Be it picturising a romantic song with her co star Sumeet Raghavan in Malaysia or riding a super bike in Pune city the 50 year old actress has shown a lot of enthusiasm , while portraying the role of Madhura Sane a Puneri female protagonist housewife in this film.
Actually, Madhuri is making her comeback into films, after doing Hindi film ‘Gulab Gang‘ four years ago. And, the credit goes to director Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar, who convinced Madhuri to do ‘Bucket List‘ film. It is understood that Tejas had written the story of this film, keeping only Madhuri Dixit in mind. For the past few years, we have been hearing that Madhuri Dixit was willing to do a Marathi film, provided she found a good script. So, finally Tejas Deoskar has succeeded in bringing the big star into Marathi.
Madhuri Dixit herself has also been taking lot of efforts to promote this film, her recent appearance at the Marathi award function was just a beginning. And, if the film is getting ready for summer release, there is still time for her to think new methods of promotion. Wishing her and her film all the best.
Will ‘Morcha’ inspire people to question injustice ?
When we talk about ‘Morcha‘ in India, we imagine a huge gathering of crowd demanding something from their administrators. Generally, ‘Morcha‘ takes place to fight against injustice on a group of people. Saaz Entertainment presents one such ‘Morcha‘ through their film with the same title and this film has been released on Friday 23rd March 2018.
According to the director of this film Akhil Desai his cinema is itself is a fight against corrupt system. Elections are held to elect the candidates to represent section of people from different localities. But, after getting elected, these candidates take their voters for granted. He feels that this film is a fight against the system. “‘Morcha‘ is just not the solution, but the elected representatives should be questioned for not fulfilling their promises. The dictatorship of elected representatives will not be tolerated any more. This is what ‘Morcha‘ is all about,” he adds.

Music & teaser of Marathi film ‘Mantr’ launched
Nowadays a new trend has been set in Marathi film industry to launch the music and teaser together. This not only helps the filmmaker to reach out to the prospective audience but also promote his film in a right manner. Recently, Dreambook productions with the help of Vedarth Creations launched the music and teaser of their forthcoming Marathi film ‘Mantr’ in Mumbai, in presence of lead actors and media persons. Directed by debutant Harshavardhan this film presents a sensitive issue, where a son of a Hindu priest accepts the profession of his father, only to earn good money. But, when a girl who does not believe in rituals comes into his life, the story of this film takes a new turn.
Speaking on the occasion the director of this film said that he has presented the dilemma of today’s youth in understanding spirituality. He also appealed to all to watch this film in cinema theatres. The film stars Deepti Devi with debutant Saurabh Gogate in lead role. But, the film stars National award winner versatile actor Padmashri Manoj Joshi in a prominent role. The other artistes of this film in supporting roles are Pushkaraj Chirputkar, Siddheshwar Zadbuke, Sunil Abhyankar, Dhiresh Joshi , Rajesh katkar, Shubhankar Ekbote , Sujay Jadhav, Vrushali katkar, Anuradha Marathe & Shubhangi Damle. Marathi ‘Bigg Boss’ to appear on Colors from 15th April
‘Bigg Boss‘ reality show in Hindi, which became popular all over India through different chapters during the past few years , will now be presented in Marathi. There was a lot of curiosity during the past few days, as to who will be the anchor of this Marathi version. But now, the curtain has been raised and the name of Mahesh Manjrekar has been announced. The actor turned film maker has also appeared in the promo of this show, which has been released few days ago.
As we all know this anchor will be the most important person in this reality show, he will however be appearing only to communicate important instructions to the participants, who will be in the big house designed to accommodate them. The show will go on air from 15th April 2018 , but there is still curiosity about the participants in this show, whose names have not been disclosed by the organizers yet. ‘Bigg Boss‘ show will however coincide with the IPL T-20 Cricket, the live telecast of which will be going on during this period. So, let us wait and see whether this Marathi Big Boss scores over the Big bosses in cricket.
