‘Redu’ receives nine nominations for State Film Awards
Marathi film ‘Redu‘ which was selected for screening at prestigious film festivals has also received Arvindan Award from Kerala’s Chalat Chitra Academy. And now, this film has received 9 nominations at the State Film awards, including one declared award in best make up section for Shrikant Desai. The film ‘Redu‘ has also been shortlisted among the ten best films to be eligible for consideration of state award.
Director of this film Sagar Vanjhari is more than happy with this response for his film. “I am glad that my debut film ‘Redu’ has been considered for state awards with so many nominations and this makes me feel extremely pleased with this gesture,” he said. Another debutant Naval Kishore Sarda who has produced this film said that for a long time it was his wish to produce a film and with ‘Redu‘ that wish has not only been fulfilled but his dream for making a good quality film has also come true, with these nine nominations for the film.
Marathi film ‘Sorry’ shot at 45 locations in 7 states
Every Marathi film released now days has something special to offer. Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Sorry’ also promises something unique. Besides good story, performances, presentation, the film has been shot at 45 different locations spread across seven states in India. And these locations also include Jama Masjid, Basilica De Bom Jesus Church Goa, Buddha temple, Dharmashala, Vaijyanath Shiva Temple & Golden temple Amritsar. The film has been produced by Dattatray Gosavi and directed by Yogesh Gosavi.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar watches Marathi film ‘Mantra’ and appreciates it

Santosh Manjrekar is back with ‘Bedhadak’
The renowned film director Santosh Manjrekar who directed a super hit Marathi film ‘Mee Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy’ and another action film ‘Surajya‘ is now back with his next film ‘Bedhadak’, which is now set for release on 1st June 2018. The title poster of this film was first released in January 2018 and recently the teaser poster of this film showing a strong arm with boxing gloves, which reminds us of Bollywood’s Sunny Deol’s famous dialogue. The tagline of the film ‘Samanya Swapnancha Asamanya Pathlag’ is also seen on this teaser poster.
This film is produced by Mandar Govind Tawre under the banner of Raahi Films and presents a new face in the form of a Boxer played by Girish Taawre. The film promises action-filled entertainment during the end of summer vacation and also stars Ashok Samarth, Ganesh Yadav, Sushrut Mankani, Anant Jog, Namrata Gaikwad, Sneha Raikar & Poonam Phanse. Karan Johar to present Madhuri Dixit’s debut Marathi film ‘Bucket List’
We are all aware that Madhuri Dixit is making her debut in Marathi through the film ‘Bucket List‘. Now, another big news associated with this film is that Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions will be presenters of this film, which is set to release on 25th May 2018. Along with madhuri, the film also stars Sumeet Raghavan, Renuka Shahane, Dilip Prabhavalkar, Shubha Khote, Vandana Gupte, Ila Bhate, Pradeep Velankar & Milind Pathak in prominent roles.

‘Bandookya’ fame Rahul Chaudhari gets ready with ‘Iblis’

Tesha Girlchild & Abhi Films Productions recently launched the logo of their forthcoming Marathi film ‘Iblis’ which is produced and directed by Rahul Manohar Choudhari. Rahul had earlier made a successful film ‘Bandookya‘, which was released last year. Therefore, there are big expectations from this film.
Actually, ‘Iblis’ is a Marathi word that means a person with street smart and a strategic mind. But, the logo of this film indicates that it is set on the backdrop of history class of 10th standard.
