Suvrat Joshi is playing lead role in forthcoming Marathi film ‘Shikari’

At present, he is playing TV anchor for the reality show, Dance Maharashtra dance on Zee Yuva channel. But, Suvrat Joshi, as an actor came into prominence through popular Marathi TV serial ‘Dil Dosti Duniyadari‘. Now, Suvrat the past student of National School of Drama(NSD)Delhi, will be seen in a lead role in forthcoming Marathi film ‘Shikari‘. Presented by Mahesh Waman Manjrekar and directed by renowned director Viju Mane, the film has raised lot of hopes, due to its bold posters and teasers which were released recently.
As Mahesh Manjrekar known for presenting films with different story angles and thinking, the Marathi film lovers are wondering if Shikari could be a Laugh Riot, a Sex Comedy or a Serious Social Drama. Moreover, the presence of Neha Khan, a debutante actor in the Teaser is puzzling enough on whether it will be an unusual bold film or will it have altogether a different canvas or will it be the first of its kind Marathi film. In ‘Shikari‘ film, Suvrat Joshi is playing a lead role in the film along with other talented actors Kashmira Shah, Mrunmayee Deshpande, Bhau Kadam, Vaibhav Mangale, Prasad Oak, Siddharth Jadhav among others.
Bold and beautiful Shivani Bhosale will be the new attraction in Marathi films

She is bold and beautiful. In fact Marathi cinema has found one such actress, who can do a romantic song as well as an item number in the same film. Yes, we are talking about Solapur born Shivani Bhosale , who is making her debut as a leading actress in much talked about forthcoming Marathi film ‘Jaga Vegali Antyatra‘. In this film Shivani has two songs picturised on her . One of them is romantic song ‘Halwa Halwa Jara Kovala‘ and the other is an item number ‘Disco Dolly…’ . Prior to this film, Shivani has worked in four South films.
Both these song videos have received good response on social networking and therefore Shivani Bhosale is the talk of the town, much before the release of this film, which has a unique story, which revolves around young unemployed graduates. Produced by Dr. Nitin Toshniwal and directed by Amol Lahande , the film has music by Rohan-Rohan and all the songs have been pictirised very well, as seen in the video. But, as far as the songs are concerned, Shivani will be the main attraction in the film, as she has received the playback from popular singers like Vaishali Samant and Mahalaxmi Iyer. And, that is very interesting .
The news has already spread that this film has a unique inspiring story and the four youngsters in the film have given their best. But, there are other versatile artistes like Bhau Kadam, Madhav Abhyankar, Rajan Bhise and Suhas Paranjape in important roles. However, above all, the Bold and beautiful Shivani Bhosale will be the new attraction in marathi film. The curtain will be raised on 23rd March 2018, when the film releases all over Maharashtra.
Pallavi Joshi returns on Marathi television with ‘Grahan’

In the past horror based TV u like ‘Ratris Khel Chale‘, ‘Girls Hostel‘ invited the attention of many horror subject lovers among home viewers. No wonder, such serials are telecast after 10:00 pm. Now, from today onwards one more Marathi serial ‘Grahan‘ will be telecast at 10.30 pm from Monday to Saturday on Zee Marathi channel . The first look of this serial has already created curiosity about the subject of this serial which clearly indicates through its title.
But, the big news is also that Pallavi Joshi will be making her comeback in Marathi television through this serial. Earlier we had seen her as show anchor for the popular musical programme ‘Sa Re Ga Ma..‘ This serial is produced by Tejendra Neswankar under the banner of Trump Card Productions. Presently his serial ‘Majhya Navryachi Bayko‘ is being aired on TV. So, let us wait and watch what this serial is going to offer.
Vinamra Bhabal – His past experience in experimental theatre boosted his confidence

Albert Einstein once said, “Learn from yesterday, Live for today, Hope for tomorrow”. This is what happened with actor Vinamra Bhabal. His past experience in experimental theatre boosted his confidence to live with the hope in the present. Besides doing experimental plays, he tried hard to find roles in commercial plays. One day, he received the call from Nandu, the office assistant at Drama Producer Sudhir Bhat’s office, where he had enrolled his name with phone number. There was a small role for him in the play ‘Beimaan’ and Vinamra immediately said ‘Yes’.
‘Beimaan’ was Vinamra’s first commercial play, but his performances in experimental plays also continued simultaneously and in one of the one-act play competitions, Vinamra’s play bagged many awards, including his award for best actor. At this competition, Mandar Deosthali was the judge and he immediately signed Vinmara for his TV serial ‘Majhe Pati Saubhagyavati’, without taking his audition.
Today, we also find him in Mandar’s ongoing serial ‘Phulpakharu’. Recently, we also saw him in Sanjay Jadhav’s hit Marathi film ‘Ye Re Ye Re Paisa’. In Hindi TV serials, he was seen in ‘Crime Petrol’, ‘Maharana Pratap’ & ‘Phir Subah Hogi’, besides a web series ‘Tata Genuine Parts’. At present, he has few Marathi films in hand and his next film to be released soon is ‘Jaga Vegali Antyatra‘, in which he plays a prominent role. And, this is a good progress for a young actor like him.
‘Nude(Chitra)’ gets ready for release on 27th April

Being already in news due to its controversial title, Director Ravi Jadhav‘s Marathi film ‘Nude(Chitra)‘ is now getting ready for release all over Maharashtra on 27th April 2018. For the first time in the history of J.J.School of Arts College, a press conference of a film was held recently and that too on the international women’s day. On this occasion, director Ravi Jadhav, Zee talkies representative Mangesh Kulkarni, Athang Communication’s Meghna Jadhav, writer Sachin Kundalkar , artistes of this film, namely Kalyani Mulye, Chhaya Kadam, Om Bhutkar, Madan Deodhar and technical team members were present.
The film ‘Nude(Chitra)‘ does have a strong subject, as it presents the story of a Nude Model Yamuna, who does this job only to earn money to educate her son. During the press conference Kalyani Mulye, who plays this important role in the film, spoke to the real life Model who has been doing this work in the arts college for the past 30 years. And the model replied that she has always felt proud of her job, as the students over the years have always looked upon her as god. She feels happy that a film has been made on this subject. Director Ravi Jadhav also expressed his confidence that his film will be accepted as an art by film lovers, as there is nothing vulgar in the film.
Amlendu Choudhari has done the cinematography of ‘Nude(Chitra)‘ film , while the two songs in the film have been written and composed by Sayali Khare and Vidya Rao.
Bhau Kadam runs a canteen for strugglers in the film ‘Jaga Vegali Antyatra’

Popular comedian Bhau Kadam, who is already a renowned stage and TV artiste, has also played variety of roles in Marathi films. But, in forthcoming Marathi film ‘Jaga Vegali Antyatra‘ Bhau Kadam runs a canteen and that too for unemployed strugglers. According to makers of this film, this is one of the finest roles played by Bhau Kadam , as he advises the four unemployed youngsters to become part of a funeral procession to earn some money. And, this particular job changes their lives.
Even Bhau Kadam is very keen to see the positive audience response for this film. For Bhau Kadam‘s fans it will be a treat. Produced by Dr.Nitin Shyam Toshniwal under the banner of Ultimate Films and written & directed by Amol Lahande, the film also stars Suprit Kadam, Omkar Purohit, Vinamra Bhabal & Dr.Vishal Gore. Poster and trailer launch of Marathi short film ‘Quarter’

The launch of posters and trailers of feature films is very common, but for the very first time in the history of the Marathi Cinema, the poster as well as the trailer of a short film has been launched, making a big news in the Marathi Cinema.
Made under the banner of Navigns Studio Private limited, the official launch of the poster as well as the trailer of the short film ‘Quarter‘ was held on a grand scale in Mumbai recently . Present on the occasion were producer Namrata Bandiwadekar, director Navjyot Bandiwadekar, Girija Oak Godbole, Aalap Bhagwat, Sameer Samant, Sandeep Kale, Yash Khanna, Aashish Mhatre, Vivian Richard, Anmol Bhave, Prashant Rane and several other celebrities including Rajeev Khandelwal,.
Young Navjyot Bandiwadekar, who has till date directed, edited, written and also handled the camera for several short films, documentaries and informative films has directed ‘Quarter‘ film. With ‘Quarter‘ , Girija Oak Godbole is making her debut as an actress in a short film, which is the biggest USP of this short film. Though it is difficult to fathom what the short film will set out to convey when you read its title, Navjyot Bandiwadekar says that he has tried to convey a lot of things through his film.
With this film, Girija has staged a comeback as for quite some time she was seen only in ad films. Says Girija, “Quarter , being my very first short film, I have mixed feelings over being a part and parcel of the short film. The story and my powerful character , which is entirely different are what I liked the best about the film. ”
Aalaap Bhaagwat has written the story and the dialogues for the film while Yash Khanna is the Director of Photography. Ashish Mhatre and Apoorva Motiwale are the editors while Vivian Richards has composed the music. The sound design is by Anmol Bhave.
‘बालरंगभूमी अभियान’ संघटनेचा उदघाटन सोहळा

महाराष्ट्रातील बालरंगभूमी चळवळ परिपूर्ण होण्यासाठी बालरंगभूमी संघटनेची निवड आम्हाला प्रकर्षाने जाणवली. यासाठी आम्ही महाराष्ट्रातील या क्षेत्रात कार्यरत असलेल्या २५ रंगकर्मींना एकत्र घेऊन अनुभवी ज्येष्ठ रंगकर्मींचा सल्ल्याने आणि त्यांच्या मार्गदर्शनात ‘बालरंगभूमी अभियान‘ या संघटनेची दि. ५ जुलै २०१७ रोजी स्थापना केली. नुकतेच ‘बालरंगभूमी अभियान‘ संघटनेचा रीतसर उदघाटन सोहळा नुकताच मुंबई येथे दिमाखात संपन्न झाला. याप्रसंगी मा.सौ.वर्षाताई विनोद तावडे तसेच ज्येष्ठ रंगकर्मी मा.श्री. विजय केंकरे, बालरंगभूमी अभियानाच्या अध्यक्षा मा. कांचनताई सोनटक्के आणि नाट्यक्षेत्रातील मान्यवरांच्या उपस्थितीत हा सोहळा संपन्न झाला.
बालरंगभूमी विषयक विविध उपक्रमांची संख्या, व्याप्ती व दर्जा उंचावून बालरंगभूमी सकस व समृद्ध करण्यासाठी प्रयत्न करणे. शालेय शिक्षकांना नाट्यप्रशिक्षण देणे. बालनाट्य किशोरनाट्य कुणारनाट्य सादरीकरणासाठी येत असलेल्या अडचणी दूर करण्यासाठी महाराष्ट्र शासन, महानगरपालिका, जिल्हा समिती स्तरावर प्रयत्न करणे. बालनाट्याच्या प्रयोगांना महाराष्ट्र शासनाचे अनुदान मिळविण्यासाठी प्रयत्न करणे. शासनाच्या सह्याद्री आणि इतर खाजगी वाहिन्यांवर बालनाट्यासाठी वेळ राखून ठेवण्यासाठी तसेच रंगभुनीच्या इतर पुरस्कारांबरोबर बालनाट्याला पुरस्कार ठेवण्यासाठी व मिळविण्यासाठी प्रयत्न करणे, दर्जेदार बालनाट्य संहिता संग्रहित करणे. बालनाट्य मार्गदर्शनपर पुस्तिका छापून शासनाच्या मदतीने त्या शालेय शिक्षकांपर्यंत पोहचविणे ही बालरंगभूमी अभियानाची उद्दिष्टे आहेत.
Suprit Kadam – A Computer engineer, who quit his job to make a career in acting

Acting profession has opened new avenues not only for those freshers , but also for those who wish to switch over from their original professions like Doctors, Engineers, bankers to acting profession. Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Jaga Vegali Antyatra‘ has also open the doors to few such artistes. Suprit Kadam is one of them. Suprit who was interested in acting since his college days, used to perform mimicry, songs and also present programmes with Hindi film dialogues. He continued with this hobby at his Job place too, where he worked as a Computer Engineer .
One fine day, he made up his decision to quit his job, much against the wish of his parents and decided to devote his full time for acting. But, whatever he expected from this field did not happen, as per his wish. For about six months, he was cheated by middlemen who promised him roles and grabbed money. Soon, he started receiving small character roles in TV serials, after he went through the right direction of approaching the genuine casting co-ordinators. Suprit Kadam performed short roles in serials like ‘Julun yeti Reshimgathi‘, ‘Honar Suun Mi Hya Gharchi‘, ‘Ganapati Bappa Morya‘ & ‘Crime Petrol‘ and gained a lot of confidence of facing the camera.
One day he received a phone call from director Amol Lahande asking him whether he was interested to work a prominent role in his forthcoming film. Next day Suprit approached the director with his photos and video clippings of his work, when his selection was done by producer Dr.Nitin Toshniwal and director Amol for this film. Suprit is extremely happy about his role and especially this film, which he feels is best combination of very good story, good direction , scope for emotions and superb comedy with a message. “I am very thankful to Dr. Nitin Toshniwal and Amol Lahande for considering me for this role in their film. But, this was all possible because of my passion for acting. Last but not the least, this life comes to us only once. Whatever decisions one has to take should be at the right time,” he concluded.
Music of ‘Tula Pan Bashing Bhandhaychay’ launched

Marriage ceremonies of grown up children is always a big concern for parents. Especially when it is daughter’s marriage, it is bigger responsibility for the parents. Set on the backdrop of such marriages, is the theme of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Tula Pan Bashing Bhandhaychay‘, which is all set for release on 30th March 2018. The film’s subject also throws light on some social issues. Recently, music of this film was released in presence of dignitaries and unit members of this film.
Produced by Bhanudas Vyavahare and Dattatray Mohite, this film is directed by Bhanudas Vyavahare, who has also written the lyrics of 5 songs in this film. With music composed by Agnel Roman and arranged by Vilas Gurav, the songs in ‘Tula Pan Bashing Bhandhaychay‘ film are rendered by popular singers like Vaishali Made, Suhas Sawant and Prasanjit Kosambi. The artistes of this film are, Vikram Gokhale, Suresh Vishwakarma, Yatin Karyekar, Sunil Godbole, Bhakti Chavan, Shweta Kharat, Suvarna Kale, Ritesh Nagrale, Rahul Patil, Harsha Sharma, Arjun Jadhav & Shankar Suryavanshi.
