ठाई ठाई माझी विठाई…

‘विठ्ठला शप्पथ‘ या चित्रपटाची कथा, पटकथा चंद्रकांत पवार यांची असून संवादलेखन चंद्रकांत पवार, कौस्तुभ सावरकर, भानुदास पानमंद यांचे आहेत. पंढरीच्या विठ्ठलाची महती सांगणारे, गायक राहुल देशपांडे यांच्या आवाजातील भक्तीगीत नुकतंच ध्वनीमुद्रित करण्यात आलं आहे.

मंगेश कांगणे यांच्या लेखणीतून साकारलेल्या ‘ठाई ठाई माझी विठाई‘ गीताला चिनार-महेश यांचा संगीतसाज लाभला आहे. ‘व्हिडिओ पॅलेस’ ही म्युझिक कंपनी या चित्रपटातील गाणी प्रकाशित करणार आहे. अशा अतिशय समर्पक शब्दात विठ्ठल भक्तीचं यथार्थ वर्णन करणारे हे गीत सगळ्यांनाच समाधानाची अनुभूती देईल.
‘Lapachhapi’ trailer launched in terrifying atmosphere
Horror based films have always created a buzz prior to their release, be it in Hollywood or Bollywood. In Marathi , there were few horror films, but the makers of these films, failed to promote their films, to generate the desired impact on their prospective audience. However, makers of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Lapachhapi‘ have certainly generated some interest among Marathi film lovers, assuring them horror filled entertainment by attempting something different, through their film’s promotion. The film has already been screened at international film festival.
Recently, trailer of ‘Lapachhapi‘ film was launched in famous studios Mumbai, in a unique way, by creating a terrifying atmosphere with darkness and suitable light effects on a specially designed village set. This gave a hint to the media persons to understand the horror theme of this film. In this trailer, Pooja Sawant was seen in a different role of a central character, playing 8 month pregnant mother, struggling to save and protect her child before delivery. The makers of this film had also used special sound effects to present this trailer more effectively.
Produced by Midas Touch Movies and Wild Elephant Motion Picture Pvt. Ltd, the film is directed by Vishal Furia the film also stars Usha Naik, Anil Gavas & Vikram Gaikwad in important roles. ‘Lapachhapi‘ is all set to release on 14th July 2017.
Theatre legend Madhukar Toradmal is no more
Popularly known as Mama in Marathi theatre field, Theatre legend Madhukar Toradmal is no more. He passed away today evening at his Bandra residence, after prolonged illness, due to Kindney failure. He was 84. His body will be kept at Yashwant Natyamandir, Matunga, on Monday morning at 10 am to enable his well wishers to offer him last tributes. Mr. Toradmal had created a history in Marathi theatre, when his play ‘Tarun Turk Mhatare Ark’ performed 5000 shows. He had also played a memorable role of Bheeshma in the play ‘Matsyagandha’. Besides writing this play, he had also performed the important role of a college professor in this play.
Besides performing on Marathi stage, in several plays, Mr. Toradmal had also performed in a popular TV serial ‘Sangharsha’. His performances in films like ‘Sinhasan’, ‘Bala Gau kasha Angayee’, ‘Aapli Mansa’, ‘Aatmavishwas’ proved to be memorable ones.
He was conferred with Lifetime Achievement award by Maharashtra Government. Mr. Toradmal also translated about 27 novels of Agatha Christie into Marathi, during the period of his sickness.
Who is playing Rajan in Bharat Sunanda’s Marathi film?
Writer director Bharat Sunanda has just completed the shooting of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Rajan‘, but no one really knows who is playing the title role in this film. The makers of this film have deliberately kept it as a top secret, to create more curiosity among Marathi film lovers. According to reliable sources, the film is inspired by the underworld don of Mumbai Chhota Rajan, during 90’s. Moreover, the title of the film and the poster suggest the same.
So, after watching films of different underworld dons in Hindi and watching the success of recent times Marathi film ‘Dagadi Chawl‘ also based on a real life underworld don turned politician, now writer director Bharat Sunanda is getting ready to release next Marathi film on the backdrop of 90’s but highlighting the gang wars of Mumbai.
According to writer –director Bharat Sunanda, this film is to offer entertainment but at the same time it is a realistic story, on the backdrop of gang wars in Mumbai. The director has also made it clear that it is not a biopic on the life of a particular person, but has been made with an intention to show to the present generation the gang wars in Mumbai, especially during the period 1983 to 1993. The film will be released in few months time, but the suspense about who is playing the title role of ‘Rajan‘ still remains the mystery.
Gashmeer Mahajani – Spruha Joshi starrer film to release on 28th July
Now days Marathi film makers are trying new pairs in the lead from among the talented artistes, who have already proved their skills in acting field. Recently, music of the film ‘Mala Kahich Problem Nahi‘, of one new pair Gashmeer Mahajani and Spruha Joshi was launched in a big way. There was a lot of excitement on the faces of the guests who attended this function, as the teaser of the film was about to be released, before the music release. The film is all set to release on 28th July 2017.
The star cast of this film comprises of Gashmeer Mahajani, Spruha Joshi, Kamlesh Sawant, Vijay Nikam, Mangal Kenkare, Seema Deshmukh, Satish Alekar & others. The film ‘Mala Kahich Problem Nahi’ is directed by Sameer Vidwans on the screenplay & dialogue writer Kaustubh Savarkar for producers Reecha Sinha and Ravi Singh, who were also present for this event, apart from special invitees. On this occasion, the lead pair performed on the melodious track ‘Tujhya Sathi Asnehi, Nasnehi Tujhyasathi‘ which was further continued by the singers Jasraj Joshi & Anandi Joshi. Bela Shende also presented her foot tapping traditional Konkani song ‘Tuka Saad Tujhya Maherachi‘s Video, which was also launched at this event. Hrishikesh, Saurabh and Jasraj are the music directors of this film.
Govind Nihlani’s Marathi film ‘Ti Ani Itar’ ready for release
After offering realistic films like ‘Ardhsatya’, ‘Aakrosh‘, ‘Tamas‘, ‘Drohakaal‘ in Bollywood, Film director Govind Nihalani is now ready to release his debut Marathi film ‘Ti Ani Itar‘ soon. The film is based on writer Manjula Padnabhan’s English play ‘Lights Out‘. The screenplay and dialogues of this film are written by Shanta Gokhale, while music is composed by Vasuda Sharma. With its tagline ‘Silence is not an Option‘, the film’s title clearly suggests that this film will talk about women’s problems.

Alia Bhat and Varun Dhavan release the song of Marathi film ‘Bhikari’
Since the launch of this Ganesh Acharya’s Marathi film ‘Swami Tinhi Jagacha … Bhikari‘ we have seen many Bollywood personalities becoming part of the functions connected with it’s promotion. Right from Superstar Amitabh Bachchan to popular young actor like Tiger Shroff were personally present for the muhurat of this film. Now, while releasing the song ‘Deva Ho Deva‘ from this film, Mr. Ganesh Acharya who is also making his debut as a director in Marathi, through ‘Bhikari‘ film, had invited popular Bollywood artistes Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhavan.
On this special occasion held at PVR Andheri, both this popular artistes not only obliged with their presence, but also performed a dance together. The song released on this occasion, has been shot on the lead pair Swwapnil Joshi and Rucha Inamdar in presence of a big idol of Ganapati and in the company of about one thousand dancers. According to the makers of ‘Bhikari‘ film, this song will be a biggest attraction in the film. The film is all set to release on 4th August and therefore, this song is likely to become popular during the forthcoming Ganapati festival.
State Award winning film ‘Bandookya’ to release on 1st September
After receiving six nominations and winning four awards at the recently concluded 54th Maharashtra State awards Marathi film ‘Bandookya‘ will now be released all over Maharashtra on 1st September 2017. The film has already raised the expectations of Marathi film lovers, because of the use of hard hitting rural based dialogues mixed with utterance of local boli language slang words by the characters of this film.

Suyash Tilak plays female character for Santosh Kolhe’s Web series
Santosh Kolhe along with Shridhar Chitnis have launched an entertainment channel ‘Virus Marathi‘ on you tube which presents two web series ‘Awesome Twosome‘ and ‘Shock Katha‘ and they have been receiving good response. Recently, Santosh Kolhe auditioned seven artistes chosen for his web series in different characters and Suyash Tilak was asked to perform a young lady from respected family and his new look has been captured in the video.
The other six artistes working in the web series are, Samir Patil, Sharmila Shinde, Chhaya Kadam, Richa Agnihotri, Akshay Shimpi and Chaitanya Sardeshpande. The script for all these seven characters who will now play different characters has been written by writer Mukesh Machkar. Presently, the previous episodes of these two web series of Virus Marathi are receiving good response from young viewers on you tube.
