Lalit Prabhakar became heartthrob of many young girls in Maharashtra, when he reached popularity heights through his last TV serial ‘Julun Yeti Reshimgathi. At the same time, we saw the rise of one talented Marathi actress Neha Mahajan on big screen. Now, both these artistes will be seen together in forthcoming Marathi film ‘TTMM‘, which has a unique title.

The film ‘TTMM‘ is produced by Dr. Santosh Savane under the banner of Vaishali Entertainment . Directed by Kuldeep Jadhav the shooting of this film is now complete. Music director Pankaj Padghan has composed the music of  ‘TTMM‘ film, while the story, screenplay and dialogues are written by Tejpal Wagh. Mayur Hardas is the cinematographer, editor and executive producer of this film, while Tejas and Gaurav Gogavale are the choreographers. The other artistes of the film are, Vidyadhar Joshi, Savita Prabhune, Satish Pulekar, Seema Deshmukh, Sagar Karande, Bharat Ganeshpure and others.

Music of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Bhootkaal‘ was launched recently in presence of lead actor Bhushan Pradhan , technical team of the film and other invitees. Directed by writer and 3 D Image technology expert Anil Waghmare , this film is based on a horror theme and has been shot at new locations picturesque Konkan. Presented by Sairaj Media, the film will bank more on special effects and music. Bollywood’s rising music director Siddharth Agarwal has composed the music of this film, with songs rendered by well known singers Javed Ali, Bela Shende and upcoming singer Siddharth Shankar Mahadevan.

For the first time talented actress Hemangi Kavi has been paired along with actor Bhushan Pradhan in ‘Bhootkaal’ film. The other artistes of this film are, Shashikant Gandhe, Kiran Navalkar, Namrata Jadhav, Sanket Lavande, Ashok Pavade, Ramesh Gaikwad & Swati Bhaburvade. In Marathi, we have yet to see a horror film turning hit. But, the makers of this film seem to be confident about their film’s success.

The 15th Third Eye Asian Film Festival which is scheduled between 15th and 22nd December 2016 in Mumbai, will have separate section for Marathi films, to enable Marathi film lovers to watch some good Marathi films. In the main section there will be films from different countries like Iran, Nepal, Japan, Bangladesh, Korea, Vietnam and Lebanon besides India. There will also be competition for short films in this festival.

Five films will be shown daily during this festival and the festival will be inaugurated by Governor of Uttar Pradesh Mr. Ram Naik at the Mini Theatre of Ravindra Natya Mandir. On this occasion, noted Film maker Mr. Govind Nihalani will be conferred with the Lifetime Achievement award, while the Satyajit Ray Memorial award will be presented to Mr. Satish Jakatdar of Aashay Film Club, Pune.

The Online registration for this festival has already begun and the application form can be downloaded from the official website of the hosts www.affmumbai.org. The delegate registration will begin on 10th December onwards at Ravindra Natya mandir, Mumbai between 1 pm and 7 pm.

Atul Kulkarni and Ashok Samarth are well Known Marathi stars, who have played lead roles in Marathi films. Both of them have also performed prominent character roles in Hindi films. Now, both of them will be seen together in lead roles along with popular Bollywood actor Raghuveer Yadav in forthcoming Hindi film ‘Aasra‘, which is scheduled to release on 2nd December 2016. The film also stars another Marathi film actor Sunil Pal and versatile actor Omkardas Manikpuri.

The film is produced by Sadanand Shetty and is directed by Raj Sagar, who has also written screenplay of this film. The story of this film by M.K. Shankar, is set on the backdrop of slums, highlighting how the people living here have been deprived of basic necessities. According to the makers, this is a true story. Director Raj Sagar has therefore shot the film at real locations. Music by Abdesh Goswami, cinematography by B. Mahanteshwar and dialogues by Vishuddh Anand Sharma are the other credits.

‘Ventilator’ earns 11 Crore in 11 days

Ventilator‘ is the only Marathi film, which was not affected by demonetization of higher denomination currency notes. In fact, the film made earnings of 11 Crore in 11 days, which is to be highly appreciated. But, the makers should thank the audience, who used online booking, net banking and plastic money to book their tickets for this film. This clearly indicated that Marathi film lovers had the will to watch this film during this period of crisis and the alternate methods showed them the way.

The good response received from the audience has certainly increased the confidence of the makers of ‘Ventilator‘ film and the happiest person is producer Dr.Madhu Chopra. Reacting to this good news director Rajesh Mapuskar said that he was overwhelmed by the audience response. Mr. Nikhil Sane of Zee Studios also welcomed the alternative methods used by audience to book their tickets in the current scenario.

Ventilator‘ which was released on 4th November 2016, is presently being shown through 4165 shows daily through 257 cinema houses. Till date the director of the film and the artistes have personally paid visit to cinema houses in Thane, Nashik, Dombivali, Pune and Alibaug and interacted with enthusiastic audience.

Marathi film ‘Kaul’ was shot with the team of only 10 people

Marathi film makers have been trying new experiments while shooting their films. Now, will you believe that Writer – director Aadish Keluskar shot his forthcoming Marathi film ‘Kaul‘ with only 10 people, including the artistes? But, this is true. Prior to finding the producer, Aadish shot his film, with minimum people by borrowing money from his mother. The members of this team were, he himself, his executive producer, his assistant, Sound designer and his assistant, Cinematographer and his four artistes.

While his shooting was going on Aadish showed ‘rough cut’ of the scenes picturised by him to producer Chintu Singh and impressed him to turn producer of this film. Thereafter, a separate team took charge of the post production work. ‘Kaul‘ has been shot in picturesque Konkan and is now ready for release on 18th November 2016.

Now days, the Promotion of the film is very important . Today, Marathi film makers are using different methods to popularise their film, prior to its release. Some film makers use this platform of promotion, to create social awareness. The makers of Marathi film ‘Kshitij‘ who have already selected a subject, to spread the importance of education among the underprivileged children, celebrated the children’s day in a unique way.

The leader of the ‘Kshitij‘ team led by director Manoj Kadam visited a group of underprivileged children from Thane , who attend a school sponsored by a voluntary agency which is affiliated to Thane Municipal Corporation. The lead child artistes of this film Vaishnavi Tangade distributed notebooks to these children and also cut a cake to celebrate the occasion with these children. Other lead artistes of the film Upendra Limaye, Kanchan Jadhav, Sambhaji Tangade, cinematographer Sagar Mhadolkar were also present on this occasion.

Having presented new programmes in the form of game show ‘Vikta Ka Uttar‘ and new serials on different subjects like ‘Ga Sahajani‘ and ‘Nakushi‘, Star Pravah Channel is now all set to offer a romantic comedy ‘Aamhi Dogha Raja Rani‘ from 14th November 2016. This serial will be telecast at prime time 9.30 pm between Monday to Saturday.

Produced by Mudita Films & Anusaya Films and presented by Rhythm Movie the film will cover how a person’s ambition to do something big lands him on the wrong path. Though the film ‘Rajan‘ has been announced, the suspense about the actor playing the role of Rajan is still not disclosed. There is just guessing work by many film enthusiasts. After all, he has to be a versatile actor.

Now, his book ‘Ghei Chhand‘ will be officially published in Mumbai on 9th November and on 12th November 2016 in Pune. Recently, during a Diwali morning special programme of chit chat with him, Subodh Bhave made announcement about his book.

In this book, Subodh has described about his journey as an actor right from his performance on stage in drama ‘Katyar Kaljaat Ghusali‘ to his directing the cinematic version of the same play. Subodh feels that this particular period in his life has been very important, as he has gained a lot of experience. And therefore, he felt that it should be properly documented in the form of this book. The book has been published by Rasik Sahitya and Grafat together and will cost Rs. 400/-.
