Fakt Marathi to offer series of super hit Marathi films
Fakt Marathi channel which is known for offering good entertainment, will be offering entertainment in the month of May by offering series of super hit Marathi films. Making this announcement Fakta Marathi Business Head Mr. Shyam Malekar said, “Due to lockdown, people sitting at home are already under stress due to spread of corona virus. And therefore holding the premiere of every super hit film daily, will offering good entertainment to the home viewers. These thirty films selected are not only popular films at the national level but also received good response at the international level.”

‘Photo Prem’ to be premiered on Amazon Prime on 7th May
Amazon Prime Video and Everest Entertainment are all set to release the Marathi film ‘Photo Prem’ on Amazon Prime from 7th May 2021. While making this announcement, the trailer of this film was also released. The film stars versatile actress Neena Kulkarni in the central role along with Amita Khopkar and Sameer Dharmadhikari in important roles. The film has been produced by Aditya Rathi, Mehul Shah and Gayatri Patil , while it is written and directed jointly by Aditya Rathi and Gayatri Patil.
The film revolves around the central character of Mai played by Neena Kulkarni, who is more concerned about her available photos which are not good according to her. So, she is afraid as to whether people will remember her after her death. The makers of this film are happy that Amazon Prime Video have been associated with them to release this film on streaming services, which would help their film to reach worldwide. They are confident that the viewers on this platform their Marathi film with a different subject.
‘Puglya’ bags series of awards at International film fests
After winning the hearts of critics at the Moscow international film festival 2021, Marathi film ‘Puglya’ bagged two more awards of best film and best direction at the Turkey and Estonia film festivals respectively. This is a double achievement by producer – director Vinod Peter, whose film had already won 47 awards at different international film festivals held at places like London, Italy, Sweden, Australia, Iran, Argentina, Lebenon, Belarus, Russia, Kazakistan, Israel, USA and Canada.
The film was also applauded at the World Premiere in California. Overwhelmed by this response director Vinod Sam Peter has appreciated the efforts of his entire team including artistes. The film shows the involvement of children in pets and their love and affection towards them. Smita Gondkar to appear in new music video ‘Saajani Tu’
Smita Gondkar who shot into fame with her popular music video ‘Pappi De Parula’ later became a popular actress in Marathi film industry and on television. She had done many music videos in the past. Now, she has returned to music video, with her new song ‘Saajani Tu’ which is made on Aditya Barve‘s music and direction. The music video has been presented by Saptasur Music and will be available on Youtube channel of Saptasur Music.
This video is produced by VB Films and Seven Wonders Motion Pictures. Ambarish Deshpande has written this song while Hrishikesh Ranade has rendered his voice for this song. Character Actor Pundalik Palve succumbs to Covid
Character actor Pundalik Palve who had performed character roles in few Marathi films like ‘Dashakriya’ and ‘Bandishala’ (movie review) succumbed to Covid yesterday night at a Nashik hospital, where he was being treated for past two weeks. Pundalik Palve was very close to renowned writer Sanjay Krishnaji Patil and had assisted him as an assistant writer on his projects.
He had assisted Mr. Patil for the past 30 years in his writing work, in spite of managing his Government job and family. Mr. Pundalik Palve had also performed character roles in Sanjay Patil’s films ‘Bandishala’ and ‘ Dashkriya’. For the film ‘Bandishala’ he also played an important role behind the screen.
First schedule shoot of ‘Takatak 2′ completed in Goa
At a time, when film shootings have almost come to halt in Maharashtra due to new restrictions on spread of corona virus in state, film producers are finding new destinations for shoot outside Maharashtra. Film maker Milind Kavde who recently announced ‘Takatak 2′ a sequel to his previous hit film ‘Takatak’ wanted to begin shooting of his film in time. So, he preferred Goa for the first schedule of shooting. And his team including the artistes supported him well. They have successfully completed the first schedule of his film’s shooting well in advance and have returned back, just a day before Goa Government also imposed night curfew in their state.
Milind Kavde has thanked his team for their support. “Not only all the artistes displayed their best prowess but also helped to complete the shooting in time with proper planning. They easily developed proper chemistry which helped them combine work with pleasure.” The film stars Prathamesh Parab along with a big team artistes comprising of Akshay Kelkar, Ajinkya Raut, Bhumika kadam, Pranali Bhalerao, Komal Bodkhe, Bharat Ganeshpure, Asha Shelar, Kiran Mane, Pankaj Vishnu, Nisha Parulekar, Rahul Belapurkar, Kiran Berad, RJ Mahesh Kale, and Abhay Kulkarni.
Story and screenplay of this film are penned by director Milind Kavde himself. Nilesh Gundale is DOP of this film while Varun Likhte has composed the music. The film is being produced by Purple Bull Entertainment Pvt Ltd
