‘Baalaa’ set on Cricket backdrop releases timely
Cricket is considered to be the religion of people living in India. So, much is the craze of cricket. After we saw Cricket based films like ‘Iqbal’ and ‘Lagaan’ in Hindi, there were some films like ‘Well Done Bhalya’ and ‘Shikshanachya Aaichha Gho’ in Marathi too.
Presently, the IPL-20 Cricket matches are going on and the World Cup Cricket is just few days away. So, the timing is perfectly suited for a film based on cricket. Presented by Rakesh Singh and directed by Sachindra Sharma , new Marathi film ‘Baalaa ’ has been released this Friday.
Written by director Sachindra Sharma himself, the film stars Mihiresh Joshi in title role of a boy who is passionate about the game of cricket and who holds a dream of becoming a cricketer to his heart. The trailer of this film clearly indicates that his Police Inspector father wants his son to become a top police officer, but the boy is keen on playing cricket despite opposition from father. Whether the boy fulfils his dream ?
To find out, one has to watch this film, which also stars Upendra Limaye, Kranti Redkar, Vikram Gokhale, Suhasini Mulay, Kamlesh Sawant in lead roles. Former India Cricket Captain Late Ajit Wadekar will also be seen in this film as a cricket coach .
