Is the ongoing monsoon dampening the spirit of Marathi film lovers?

The entire month of July was a wet spell in different parts of Maharashtra including the city of Mumbai and suburbs. This certainly affected the business of Marathi film industry, as there was poor turnout at cinema halls. And, the situation seems to be no different in the beginning of August. Recently, due to continuous rains, some of the better films like ‘Smile please’, ‘Girlfriend’, ‘Baba’ could not find the regular crowd at ticket windows across Maharashtra.

The film should connect with the audience . And, this is most important.
