Known for his famous dialogue “Hum Angrezon ke Zamaane ke Jailor hai…” in the Super hit  film ‘Sholay’ , actor Asrani has been in this film industry for the past 50 years . At 75 today, he is doing a Marathi film, ‘Family 420′, which is produced by Dev Raj and directed by Santosh Gaikwad. Keeping in mind his image as a comedian, he has been offered a suitable role and Asrani is very happy about it. “The character I am playing in this Marathi film, is totally different from the characters I have played in the past. The most difficult thing in acting, is to make the audience laugh. But, I took up this challenge. “ he said, after signing this film.

Director Santosh Gaikwad  also very happy that an actor like Asrani said ‘yes’ to his offer.  According to him, the film will deliver a social message, besides making the audience laugh.   To join Asrani in this film, will be other popular artistes like Sunil Pal, Upasana Singh, Vijay Kadam, Vijay Patkar, Swapnil Rakshekhar, Harshada Patil, Aashish Newalkar, Sukanya Kulkarni & Geeta Nikharge.
