Pushkar Jog releases romantic song ‘O Bavari’ from ‘Hardik Shubhechcha’
We are all aware that actor- filmmaker Pushkar Jog recently released the poster of his forthcoming film ‘Hardik Shubhechcha’ to generate more interest about his film. Now, coinciding with Valentines’ day, he released the romantic song ‘O Bavari…’ from his film, which has been shot on him and actress Hemal Ingale, at beautiful locations of Dubai, including the Miracle garden and the famous desert of Dubai.
This romantic song has been penned by Mandar Cholkar and rendered by popular singer Sonu Nigam on the music of Rohan-Rohan. Pushkar Jog has always been trying to offer something different through his films. And this time, also he has attempted a new subject. This film will be released on 21st March 2025.
‘Banjara’ to release on 16th May 2025
V.S.Productions and Morya Productions the makers of Marathi film ‘Banjara’ have announced that they will release this film on 16th May 2025. Based on the backdrop of friendship and self realization, the story, screenplay writing and direction of this film is by Sneh Ponkshe. And this film stars Sneh along with Sharad Ponkshe, Bharat Jadhav, Sunil Barve, Saksham Kulkarni and Adiya Dhanraj in lead roles. This film is produced by Rohitni ijaysinh Patwardhan and Sharad Ponkshe.
The recently released poster of this film shows the three friends Sneh, Saksham and Aditya proceeding on a journey and their body language clearly indicates that they are happy to take on this adventure filled journey. According to Mr. Sharad Ponkshe, he feels happy that this is a debut film of his son Sneh with direction. And that it was his privilege to work under his direction. Director Sneh Ponkshe is thankful to his father and senior artistes like Bharat Jadhav and Sunil Barve for their guidance from time to time.
‘Gulkand’ teaser released on Valentine’s day
After making official announcement with release of poster of their film ‘Gulkand’ sometime back, now producers Sachin Goswami, Sachin Mote and Sanjay Chhabriya and director Sachin Goswami have released the teaser of this film on the occasion of Valentines’ day. The teaser of this film shows humor filled story of two couples Dhavale and Mane.
Teaser of this film also makes it clear that Sai Tamhankar has been paired with comedy King Sameer Chougule, who is playing a lead hero for the first time. Similarly Prasad Oak will be seen in lead role opposite Isha Dey. Besides these four artistes, this film also stars Vanita Kharat, Mandar Mandavkar, Jui Bhagwat,Tejas Raut, Sharvil Apte in important roles.
According to Sanjay Chhabriya, as ‘Gulkand’ has 10 benefits to offer; the 11th benefit is ‘happiness’. This much awaited film will be released on 1st May 2025
‘Aata Thambaycha Naay’ title poster launched
Title poster of new Marathi film ‘Aata Thambaycha Naay’ produced jointly by Zee Studios, Chalk & Cheese Films and Fil Jazz was recently. Zee Studios Marathi section Business Head Bavesh Janvalkar made official announcement of this film. This film will be directed by actor Shivraj Waichal.
Based on an inspiring true story, this film stars Bharat Jadhav, Siddharth Jadhav, Om Bhutkar, Shrikant Yadav, Parn Pethe, Praveenkumar Dalimbkar, Prajakta Hanamghar, Kiran Khoje in lead roles. Besides these artistes, Rohini Hattangadi, will be seen in a special appearance along with Ashutosh Gowarikar in the role of an honest, sensitive officer. This film will be released in theatres on 1st May 2025.

New Marathi Play ‘Me Vs Me’ inaugural show on 25th January
Marathi theatre has been offering variety of subjects on stage. This new year, theatre lovers will have a good choice. One such new play ‘Me Vs Me’ is all set for the inaugural show, bringing together three talented artistes Kshitish Date, Shilpa Tulaskar and Hrishikesh Joshi . Written and directed by Sanjay Jamkhandi this play is produced by Amardeep and Kalpakta.
The first show of this suspense thriller will be held in Ramkrishna More Natyagrih on 25th January 2025 @5.30 pm. This will be followed by shows at Hadapsar on 26th , Thane on 30th January and Deenanath Natyagruh , Vile Parle on 31st January 2025. Apart from Kshitish, Shilpa and Hrishikesh, the other artistes of this play are Chinmay Patwardhan, Mahesh Subhedar and Dinesh Singh.
Everest Entertainment announce their next film ‘Premachi Goshta 2′
On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, Everest Entertainment have announced their next Marathi film ‘Premachi Goshta 2‘, which will be directed by their favorite director Satish Rajwade, who had earlier directed successful films like ‘Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai’ all three parts, ‘Tee Sadhya Kaay Karte’ and ‘Premachi Goshta ’.
Through their last film ‘Premachi Goshta‘ Everest Entertainment presented a couple falling in love once again, after seeking divorce. Now, through their next film ‘Premachi Goshta 2’, they will be presenting an unusual combination of VFX and love story.
The starcast of this film is not yet disclosed , but the film will be released this year in June 2025. Director Satish Rajwade feels that the presentation of this film will be according to changing time and will be a love story of present generation.

Like the T-20 Cricket format scored over One day and Test Cricket, our Marathi short films are getting more attention compared to Marathi web films and feature films. Many sensible Marathi short films with 5 minutes to 30 minutes duration are receiving good response from the social media viewers.
One such Marathi short film ‘Naav Kaay Tuza’ produced by Sandeep and Dhanashree Kulkarni and directed by Bansidhar Kinkar, with little more than 30 minutes duration, can be viewed on youtube. Starring Umesh Kamat, Neha Naik and others, this film revolves around a young girl Manasi Prabhu ( Neha Naik) who after completing her graduation in Computer Engineering comes to Pune from Karad, with a big hope of getting a job in IT park. But, she is not able to find a job without reference or recommendation. Her father who is unable to spend on her expenses, suggests her to return to Karad, in next few days.
When disappointed Manasi is getting ready to return to her native place, life takes a new turn in her life and she finds a chance to visit an IT company, where she interacts with the company Boss (Umesh Kamat), who is in a dilemma over prioritizing ethics over business advantage. What happens next is an interesting situation, which the director has cleverly presented through an appealing screenplay.
Considering his past short films like ‘Shambharava Sthal’ and ‘Ravivaar Sakal’, Bansidhar Kinkar, has done a remarkable job as a director in this short film. He finds good support with best performances from all the artistes. Neha Naik in particular, has done very well.
Certainly a worth watch film.
Writers to turn Comedians through ‘Almost Comedy’
