Kiran Mane pays tributes to Late Dada Kondke on his Birth anniversary
Dada Kondke will always be remembered for the Kind of humour he brought into Marathi film industry, with his perfect timing for comedy in almost each and every film he performed right from the days of ‘Songadya‘ in 1971 till ‘Vajavu Ka‘ in 1995. For 25 years he offered entertainment to his fans in Marathi as well as Hindi. In every entertainment programme of awards function, Dada is remembered through performance on his songs.
Now, almost twenty years have passed since the legendary comedian left this world. Born on 8th August, today is his birth anniversary and had he been alive, he would have celebrated his 85th birthday today. But, today very few celebrities from the Marathi film industry remember him on his birthday. Among those very few artistes is well Known stage, television and film actor Kiran Mane. Very thoughtfully Kiran has paid tributes to this legend recalling his terrific sense of humour at every situation, while criticising the policies of the Government from time to time, through his every film. Kiran has specially dedicated today’s blog to Late Dada Kondke focussing more on the actor’s philosophy on person’s loneliness in spite of earning enough money.

From ‘Radha Hi Bavari‘ Marathi TV serial to Rohit Shetty’s upcoming Hindi film ‘Simba‘, Saurabh Gokhale has made good progress in his acting career for the past five years. Incidentally, he is also celebrating 5 years of his marriage with another talented star Anuja Sathe. Anuja has also made very good progress from stage, television to Hindi films and her latest being ‘Parmanu‘. So, it has been a good successful journey for the couple.
So, obviously Saurabh wants to connect with his fans through the most important social networking media, for which he has started his new page on facebook, uploading all relevant information, which his admirers are looking for. Prominent among the latest uploads are the photos of Saurabh with his wife and also with his pets. Both Saurabh and Anuja have lots of potential , which can be tapped by creative directors. Is Amruta Khanvilkar focussing more on Hindi films ?
In the past, we have seen many Marathi actresses switching over from Marathi to Hindi cinema, as they received good offers from Hindi film producers. Right from the 60s era this trend has continued. Sulochana Didi and lalita Pawar made the beginning and then many like Seema Deo, Jayashree Gadkar, Reema lagoo, Nishigandha Wad, Smita Jaykar, Varsha Usgaonkar, Kishori Shahane, Neena Kulkarni, Ashwini Bhave, Sonali Kulkarni and so on followed their footsteps . And why not ? After all through Hindi cinema their talent was reaching out to the entire country.
Of late we are watching the successful progress of one more Marathi actress Amruta Khanvilkar. Though Amruta made her simultaneous debut in Hindi and Marathi cinema in 2006 through films like ‘Golmaal‘( Marathi) and ‘Mumbai salsa‘( Hindi) , followed by ‘Sade Made Teen‘( Marathi) ‘Hattrick‘ , ‘Phoonk‘ & ‘Contract‘(Hindi), she tried to play the balancing act, performing both in Hindi as well as Marathi. Though in Hindi films she could not find challenging roles, Amruta found some good lead roles in films like ‘Zhakas‘, ‘Satarangee Re‘, ‘Baazi‘, ‘Aayna Ka Bayna‘,’Welcome Zindagi‘, ‘Katyar kaljat Ghusali‘ and that most popular dance item in ‘Natarang‘.
Amruta had also switched over to Hindi TV through dance reality show and emerging winner of that show. But, very recently we saw her in a prominent role of Muinira in a hit Hindi film ‘Raazi‘. This was followed by her appearance in another prominent role in a Hindi web series. And now, we will be watching her in the role of Sarita in another big Bolywood film ‘Satyamev Jayate‘ which is set for release on 15th August. Amruta is playing the wife of another talented Hindi film actor Manoj Bajpayee, who is playing the role of an Indian Cop. And, this certainly makes us think whether Amruta is now focussing more on Hindi films?
Jui Gadkari, Gauri Nalawade express their thoughts on friendship day
Come friendship day and we notice lots of messages displayed by the celebrities on their social networking sites expressing their thoughts for their dear friends. Indeed, true friendship is based on trust, honesty and generosity of hearts. So obviously, the true expressions come out spontaneously. Having noticed in the past, good friendship between Prajakta Mali and Sayali Deodhar , Pooja Sawant & Sanskriti Balgude at different functions, Marathi Movie world has chosen this time two famous television actresses , Jui Gadkari & Gauri Nalawade who have frankly expressed their wishes on this friendship day.
“For me, friendship is something where we can be ourselves. No fakeness. No doubts. And mainly total transparency in even our thoughts. You should always stand by each other come what may! I have lots of friends but I cannot share things with everyone and in industry, it’s difficult to trust anyone! My best buddy is Prasad Limaye and we are buddies for 8 years now!” confesses Jui Gadkari.
Gauri Nalavade’s philosophy about friendship is that there are friends, there is a family, and then there are friends that become family. “My best friend in our industry is Khushboo Tawde. We are each other’s Nemo and even if we get lost in the big ocean, we will make sure that we’ll find each other. I love my Nemo aka Khushboo.” Admits Gauri.
Subodh Bhave is an ideal choice for Biopics
Subodh Bhave is one such name in Marathi film industry which is known for portraying the well Known personalities on the big screen through their biopics. Subodh did play humour filled roles in films like ‘Ek Daav Dhobi Pachhad‘, ‘Sanai Choughade‘,’Aiyyaa‘, ‘Fugay‘ and also serious type of roles in films like ‘Anumati‘,’ Zhale Mokale Aakash‘, ‘Bharatiya‘ & ‘Katyar Kaljaat Ghusali‘ . But, his roles in biopics like ‘Balgandharva‘, ‘Lokmanya Ek Yugpurush‘ were the most memorable performances. What is good about him is that he totally gets involved into the character he portrays and therefore, creates a strong impact on the audience through his performance.
Now, Subodh is all set to make the hat trick of the biopics through his new film on late Dr.Kashinath Ghanekar. As a director, he has also shown his skills through the film ‘Katyar Kaljaat Ghusali’ which was based on Indian classical music. Swapnil & Mukta getting ready to return with ‘Mumbai Pune Mumbai-3′
Swapnil Joshi and Mukta Barve are two big names in Marathi film industry. Their chemistry has always worked very well together on small as well as big screen. Their film ‘Mumbai Pune Mumbai‘, which was released five years ago, was a super-duper hit on national as well as international level. The success was repeated when its sequel ‘Mumbai Pune Mumbai -2‘ was released two years ago.
Now, the history is all set to be repeated as producer Sanjay Chhabria and Associate-producer Amit Bhanushali with director Satish Rajwade are getting ready to release the third part of ‘Mumbai Pune Mumbai‘ on 7th December this year. Recently, the super hit pair of Swapnil Joshi and Mukta Barve joined director Satish Rajwade to announce this release date of their film.
Speaking on this occasion, Director Satish Rajwade said, “We did not expect Mumbai Pune Mumbai (MPM) to be successful to such an extent. Mumbai Pune Mumbai (MPM) as now has become became a cult, setting a trend of ‘one of its kind love story’. MPM has now become a habit with the audience. People are now more curious about the lives of Gautam and Gauri and are relating themselves with the happenings in the lives of this couple.” The makers are confident that ‘Mumbai Pune Mumbai-3‘ will be equally supported by the audience.
The title track of ‘Dostigiri’ released
‘Tujhi Majhi Yari Dosti…‘ which is the title track of the forthcoming Marathi film ‘Dostigiri‘ was released on the occasion of International Friendship day, which is just few days away. Music directors Rohan Rohan have filled in the required sweetness and naughtiness into this song suited to the title of the ‘Dostigiri‘ film. Both of them have rendered this song in their voices along with Prajakta Shukre. Speaking about their friendship, the music director duo said that it was their friendship, which brought them together in this music field.
Actor Sanket Pathak also says that this title song has been special for him, as the picturisation of this song was the beginning of the film’s shooting. “It was during the shooting of this song brought me close to Akshay, Vijay and Pooja, who were till then strangers to me. All of us really had a great time full of fun during this period,” he added. Produced by Santosh Pankar and directed by Vijay Shinde, the film stars Sanket Pathak, Pooja Malekar, Pooja Jaiswal, Vijay Gite, Akshay Waghmare is all set for release on 24th August 2018 all over Maharashtra.
Teaser of Marathi film ‘Take Care Good Night’ released
The teaser of much awaited Marathi film ‘Take Care Good Night‘ was released on Monday . The story of this film is written by Girish Joshi, which is based on a real life incident faced by his relative. Directed by Girish Joshi who is also making his debut as a director, ‘Take Care Good Night’ film is produced by Himanshu Patil and Mahesh Manjrekar with music by Narendra Bhide. The film stars Sachin Khedekar, Mahesh Manjrekar, Iravati Harshe, Aadinath Kothare and Parna Pethe and is set for release across the state of Maharashtra on August 31st, 2018.
Actually, ‘Take Care Good Night‘ film’s theme consists of a city family fighting a cyber criminal who is threatening its stability and pride. There are problems, as the technologically handicapped father has to learn to overcome his fear of changing technology, while the mother needs to revisit her long-forgotten counselling skills, even as the daughter is compelled to open a channel of communication with her parents. All the answers are revealed in the story that examines the personal and social facets of a tech-driven lifestyle. So, in today’s time with technological advancement in every field and rise in cyber crimes, it will be interesting to watch a film on this subject.
‘Re Raya’ inspires in spite of limited content

During the past few years, in our country we have witnessed many international level sportspersons emerging from small villages. Best examples are Umesh Yadav Cricket, Deepika Kumari( Archery), Vijay Kumar ( Shooting), Sushil Kumar ( Wrestling), Mary Kom( Boxing) and the latest sensation in athletics –is 18 year old Hima Das. If none had spotted their talent and brought them into light, they would not have achieved what they have done till now.
Latest Marathi film ‘Re Raya‘ which is set on the backdrop of sports, revolves around one such national and international level Athlete Aadesh Bhosale( Bhushan Pradhan) . Aadesh, in spite of being the top athlete in the state of Maharashtra and India, is ignored for the prestigious Shiv Chhatrapati award by the state administrators and instead of him an inferior athlete is chosen for this award. Dejected by this favoritism, Aadesh leaves for his remote village at a district place . During his short stay there, he comes across three youngsters from poor families Rahul ( Vivek Chabukswar) , Aakash( Sudarshan Patil) & Vasu ( Hansraj Jagtap) who are really good in sprinting, high jump and archery respectively.
After taking permission from their parents and asking his guardian to take care of their families, Aadesh brings them to city to offer them training in their respective sports. Since he does not know much about archery, he requests another coach Gavde Sir( Abhijit Chavan) to train Vasu. After some struggle and rigorous training the three youngsters achieve what their mentor Aadesh had expected from them. Though this is an inspiring tale , the turn of sequences in post interval stage become predictable. Besides these three sports, the audience do not get glimpse of any other sports, thus it gives a feeling that National games are played only for these three games.
However, the director has cleverly highlighted the Politics in sports selection, right from the grass root level to the selection of sportspersons to represent state team. He has also thrown light on how the people who have not played a particular sport are made selectors. The non availability of facilities like proper food and toilets especially for girls is clearly shown through two scenes. This is a clear expose of our state associations representing different games and the host state. And therefore, to some extent he has succeeded in presenting what he wanted to convey to real sports lovers.
The best thing about this film is the selection of the artistes to play all the important characters. Bhushan Pradhan looks a perfect athlete and has displayed his emotions well. The three young artistes Vivek Chabukswar , Sudarshan Patil & Hansraj Jagtap have fulfilled the expectations from them with hard work displayed clearly through their body language, as they were more involved in action sequences. Sanskruti Balgude has been used as a show piece in this sports oriented film. Her role has not been defined properly. But, as a strong supporter of her boyfriend who is totally committed to coaching, she does well in all those few scenes to her share. In the supporting roles of School Sports teacher and Archery Coach, Uday Tikekar and Abhijit Chavan are impressive. Playing the role of little Aadesh, child star Malhar Dandge is good and so are Prakash Dhotre and Nayan Jadhav in the respective roles of Aadesh’s father and close friend .
Music by Mangesh Dhakde is just fine but Pratap Nair has captured all those action moments through his camera superbly. Story idea of Kiran Berad is inspiring, but he should have paid more attention on expanding the screenplay extra skillfully and supporting it with dialogues more capturing, with his limited content. However, the intention of film maker is good and he sends across a good message to the society and especially to all those sports lovers.
Teaser of ‘Dostigiri’ launched
Teaser of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Dostigiri‘ which was launched recently on social networking sites, has been receiving good response from youth, because of the hard hitting dialogues inviting all the attention. The film salutes the unconditional friendship during college days. And therefore, the film is set to release on 24th August 2018 to coincide with the international friendship day. Even otherwise, as per the latest trends, the films are more targeted on youngsters.
According to the producer Santosh Pankar the one liner dialogues penned by Manoj Wadkar in this film will become popular among today’s youngsters, as they will be easily remembered. Directed by Vijay Shinde, the film stars Sanket Pathak, Akshay Waghmare, Vijay Gite, Pooja Malekar, Pooja jaiswal in lead roles. Made under the banner of Morya Movies Creations and presented by Arihant Movies Creations the film has music by Rohan Rohan are other credits of the film.
