Vaidehi Parshurami is inviting all the attention
After the release of the film ‘Aani Kashinath Ghanekar‘ Marathi film lovers talked about the fine performance of Subodh Bhave. But, at the same time they appreciated one more artistes from this film and she is Vaidehi Parshurami. Vaidehi invited all the attention of the audience in all those scenes she was offered in this film. Her character of young kanchan in this film has certainly helped her to draw big fan following. If this was not enough, we now find her in a prominent role in the trailer of Rohit Shetty’s much talked about Bollywood film ‘Simba‘ which is all set to release by end of this month.
This is certainly a big achievement for the young charming talented actress. It may be recalled that Vaidehi made her debut in Marathi films through Mahesh Kothare’s film ‘Ved Lavi Jeeva‘ opposite Adinath Kothare and thereafter we saw her in films like ‘Kokanastha‘ and ‘Vrundavan‘. Not many are aware that Vaidehi has already made her debut in Bollywood and that too in Amitabh Bachchan starrer film ‘Wazir‘ playing an important character. Marathi actress Bhagyashree Mote steps into Bollywood
Marathi actress Bhagyashree Mote who made her debut through Big banner Marathi film ‘Kaay Re Rascala‘ is the most busy actress today. This year her two Marathi films ‘Patil‘ and ‘Majhya Baikocha Priyakar‘ were released and now ‘Vitthal‘ is also getting ready for release by end of this month. But, the big news is that Bhagyashree is all set to make her debut in Bollywood through Traingle productions film which is directed by Hardik Gajjar.
Having performed in Hindi and Marathi serials, Bhagyashree has already become popular among home viewers. In Marathi she has performed in ‘Devyani‘ and ‘Pre Hey’, while in Hindi she was seen in big serials like ‘Devon Ke Dev Mahadev’, ‘Siya Ke Ram’ & ‘Jodha Akbar‘. No wonder, she has a big fan following. Now, her fans are waiting eagerly to see her in her debut Bollywood film.
Saiyami Kher took lessons of rural language from Siddharth Jadhav
Saiyami Kher who made her grand debut in Bollywood with the lead role in the film ‘Marziyaan‘ is now also making her debut in Marathi with the lead role opposite Riteish Deshmukh in the forthcoming Marathi film ‘Mauli‘. Trailer of this film is out now and Saiyami invites all the attention. But, not many are aware about the efforts taken by Saiyami to play this role.
Saiyami who is Maharashtrian can speak Marathi well, but in this film she had to speak rural Marathi language. Therefore, she worked hard to learn the particular dialect suited for her character. Siddharth Jadhav who is also playing an important role in this film, came to her help and Saiyami took lessons from him, whenever she found time on the sets, to get that perfect dialect. And this can be noticed in the film’s trailer. Like her grand debut in Hindi, saiyami wants to ensure that her entry into Marathi should also be in a grand way and we wish her all the best.
Suyog and Mitali to star in ‘Aamhi Befikir’
Marathi films have introduced many new lead pairs during the past and many such pairs have proved to be successful in making a hit film. Now, ‘Shentimental‘ fame Suyog Gorhe and ‘Urfi‘ fame Mitali Mayekar will star together in forthcoming Marathi film ‘Aamhi Befikir‘ which is due for release soon. Both Suyog and Mitali have also worked on television and have good acting experience. So, it remains to be seen how their chemistry works for this film which is targeted at youngsters.
Produced by Nagesh Mishra, Antariksha Choudhari, Kavishwar Marathe and Rohit Chavan this film is directed by Kavishwar Marathe. The theme of this film is based on how a person loses lot many things in an attempt to gain something more. But, with this experience is able to fulfill his dream. Clearly indicated through the film’s title this film has lot to communicate with the youngsters and their ultimate goals. The makers of this film are sure that this new pair would impress the Marathi film lovers.

Premiere show of ‘Piano For Sale’ held in presence of celebrities
Presented by Chaitanya Girish Akolkar, produced by Digital Detox and Written & Directed by Aashish Kulkarni, the premiere of new Marathi play ‘Piano For Sale’ starring Kishori Shahane Vij and Varsha Usgaonkar was held recently at Shivaji Mandir Dadar in presence of special invitees. Amongst the celebrities who attended the show were, Usha Mangeshkar,Meena Khadikar,Shivaji Satam, Kiran Shantaram, Anup Jalota,Deepak Balraj Vij, Gashmeer Mahajani & Anuradha Rajadhyaksha.
The play had raised a lot of curiosity, as two prominent veteran actresses of Marathi and Hindi cinema and television have come together for the first time in a Marathi play. And therefore the presence of celebrities was expected for the inaugural premiere show, besides good response from the audience. This play is based on original English play with the same title, written by Meher Pestonji. Ashish Kulkarni has taken the efforts to present this Marathi version.
Swapnil Joshi & Mukta Barve dance on the tunes of ‘Pinjra’ song in ‘MPM-3′
The famous song ‘Aali Thumkat, Naar Lachakat..’ from the film ‘Pinjra‘ had become very popular during the year 1972, when this film was released. Even today, lyrics of this song and the dance is appreciated by music lovers. No wonder, Director Satish Rajwade has used this song to picturise a dance sequence on the lead pair of his film ‘Mumbai Pune Mumbai-3‘.
And according to him both Swapnil Joshi and Mukta Barve really enjoyed dancing on the tunes of this song from the film ‘Pinjra’. Recently, this song was officially released at Prabodhankar Thackeray Krida Sankul, Vile Parle, on the beats of traditional Dhol-tasha and in the presence of artistes of this film Swapnil Joshi, Mukta Barve, Rohini Hattangadi, Savita Prabhune, Mangal kenkre, Vijay kenkre and director Satish Rajwade. The film is all set to release on 7th December 2018 all over Maharashtra.

Now days, our Marathi films have been presenting new scripts offering variety to film lovers. And the latest released film ‘Madhuri‘ falls in this category. Set on the backdrop of picturesque Panchgani in Satara district, ‘Madhuri‘ presents an emotion filled bond between middle aged mother and her daughter, who has attained adulthood. So, it is the generation gap clearly noticed in the initial part of the film, between Single Mother Madhuri( Sonali Kulkarni) who is a College Professor and her happy go lucky daughter Kavya ( Sanhita Joshi) .
When the differences between mother and daughter attain a particular level, we find a particular happening , which takes Madhuri into Coma. After being operated, she survives, but suffers Retrograde amnesia and this brings Kavya closer to her mother and she does exactly what the treating psychiatrist ( Sharad Kelkar) advises her to do. Kavya’s boy friend Amar( Virajas Kulkarni) who is possessive about Kavya finds her drifting away from him. At this crucial stage we find another youngster Rohan ( Akshay Kelkar) who happens to be student of Madhuri, coming closer to mother and daughter, while treating her to recover completely.
Director Swapna Waghmare Joshi has paid more attention on emotions of the mother and daughter while handling this sensible subject. Through the characters of Shard Kelkar and Akshay Kelkar, she has brought the required humour into the screenplay. At the same time, the film has delivered a very good social message effectively, in the concluding part.
After ‘Kachcha Limbu‘ and ‘Gulabjam‘ , Sonali Kulkarni has found another good film to display her potential and she has played the title role wonderfully. But, the real star of the film is Sanhita Joshi who grabs all the attention with her fabulous performance. Sanhita has got an opportunity to exhibit different shades of her character through the role of Kavya. And, she has lived up to the expectations of not only her mother but also the audience. Sanhita certainly deserves an award for her performance in this film. Sharad Kelkar who plays the bridge between the mother and daughter offers excellent support, while good support also comes from Akshay Kelkar and Virajas Kulkarni. The film does surprise the audience with the presence of two actors in special appearance.
Music has very less scope in this film, but the background music is good. Cinematography is excellent and the costume designing of all the characters is also impressive. All in all, ‘Madhuri‘ is certainly a worth watch film for the entire family. Thanks to Urmila Matondkar for presenting a Marathi film on a sensible subject.
Producer of ‘Mauli’ Ashish Chowdhry has big plans for future
As an actor Ashish Chowdhry has experienced television and cinema. But now, joining hands with his close family friend Deepa Pardasany the duo have flagged off their new venture Hindustan Talkies. Incidentally, their production start off with Marathi film ‘Mauli‘ starring Riteish Deshmukh under the banner of Jio Studios. Incidentally, Rohit has acted with Riteish in the films ‘Dhamal‘ and ‘Double Dhamal‘ in the past. Before entering this production, both Ashish and Deepa had decided to create and support content-driven regional and commercial cinema.
“We are willing to back new writers as long as we feel they have a strong content. Also, the opening of online platform necessitates a gap to be filled. We will take our vision across platforms and regions,” says Deepa. While Ashish has to say, “At Hindustan Talkies, we are looking to invest in strong scripts. Both Deepa and I share a driven desire to make striking stories. Hence, when the opportunity came to co-produce with Riteish Deshmukh and Jio, it fit our vision perfectly. Also, it’s a delight to team up with market leaders like Mumbai Film Company and Jio Studios.”
In short, both of them have big plans for future. Hope their debut film achieves grand success.
