Sonalee is celebrating 12 years in acting profession
From 2006 till date Sonalee Kulkarni has performed in 24 films ( including 2 Hindi films), which is a good progress for a young talented Marathi actress . Sonalee began her innings in acting profession with 2006 Marathi film ‘Gauri‘ and last we saw her in the film ‘Hampi‘, offering variety of roles through different characters she has played so far. Luckily, she found prominence of her characters in most of her films and she made her presence felt through those characters.
Sonalee actually shot into fame with her character of Nayna Kolhapurkar in super hit Marathi film ‘Natarang‘ where she had enough scope to display her dance skills besides acting. Later, she also played the character of a tribal girl in Nitin Desai’s film ‘Ajintha‘, but her roles in films like ‘Classmates‘ , ‘Mitwa‘ & ‘Poshter Girl‘ exploited the best out of her. But, that’s not enough for an actress who has completed twelve years in this industry. Obviously , Sonalee also must be looking for better opportunities.

Kay Kay Menon to open his innings in Marathi films
Popular Bollywood actor Kay Kay Menon is all set to open his innings in Marathi cinema that too in a film which is to be directed by actor turned director Lokesh Gupte. Produced by Devi Satori Productions this film titled ‘Ek Sangaychay…Unsaid Harmony‘ also stars Rajeshwari Sachdev in the lead role opposite Kay Kay. Recently, the poster of this film was unveiled on social networking sites.
We are all aware that both Kay Kay Menon and Rajeshwari Sachdev are very particular about selection of films. And therefore, their coming together in this Marathi film has raised a lot of curiosity about this film’s subject. According to the makers, the story of this film is on a sensitive subject revolving around human relationship. ‘Ek Hota Pani’ to highlight drought situation in a village

World famous ‘Aajinchi Shala’ now on Big Screen
There are many people in our society who are unable to complete their school education. Most of them are women. But, they always have a desire within to complete their school education. In Maharashtra at Fangane village in Murbad, there exists is one such school which is attended by old women and is called ‘Aajinchi Shala‘. Motiram Dalal Charitable Trust runs this school which is headed by Principal Yogendra Bangar. Various institutions all over the world and news channels have taken note of this unique school .Recently, another school for older men was also launched early this year in Shelari village.
Inspired by this world famous school of older women now there will be a Marathi film ‘Aajinchi Shala‘ which will see big screen. Written by Journalist turned film writer Ashish Ningurkar, this is his second film as a film writer after offering a successful film ‘Rairand‘ which received attention at many festivals. Incidentally, Ashish has also written the story of another Marathi film ‘Ek Hota Pani‘, which is due for release. ‘Aajinchi Shala‘ film will be directed by Yusuf Khan, who has worked as assistant to film maker Remo D’souza and has also worked as assistant director for ‘Race-3‘. Speaking to Marathimovieworld Ashish said that, “he was fortunate to have a talented director Yusuf Khan to give cinematic form to his story“.
‘JD ICE’ company which is producing this film have already taken permission from the Principal of the existing school to make the film on this subject. The principal of this school Yogendra Bangar also felicitated the writer and director of this film.

‘Udaantappu’ film song released on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi
Ganesh Chaturthi is always considered to be an auspicious occasion. Keeping this in mind, Gayatri Vision and Janapriya Films, who are producing a Marathi film ‘Udaantappu‘ released the song of their film on Shree Ganesha on this auspicious day on social networking sites. Director Hrishikesh Sharad Joshi who is making his debut in direction through ‘Udaantappu‘ film has kept in mind the children as his main audience.
