Shinde father and daughter announce their next film ‘Aai Bhadyane Havi?’

Father and daughter combination of Director Kedar Shinde and Producer Sana Shinde have announced their next Marathi film ‘Aai Bhadyane Havi?’. Made under the banner of Sunflower Studios, the story and script of this film is written by Vaishali Shashi Naik and Omkar Vasundhara Dutt and the cinematography and editing work will be managed by Mayur Sanjeevani Hardas.
According to Kedar Shinde, “It is very challenging to handle the subject of women oriented films. So, I always felt that unless I find a perfect script, I will not announce my film. Actually, work on the script of this film began in 2023 along with my other film. This film is on the style of renowned film maker Rajkumar Hirani , from who I have received a lot of inspiration. “
The shooting of this film will begin sometime in June-July 2026 and it will be an entertaining multi-starrer film. At present the process of selection of artistes is in progress.
Muhurat performed for Viju Mane’s film ‘Mamachya Gavala Jauya’
After his ‘Struggler Salaa’ series, Viju Mane now gets ready with his favourite subject for youngsters , in the form of new Marathi film ‘Mamachya Gavala Jauya’. The title of the film clearly suggests freedom of fun filled trip on the backdrop of Goa, enjoyed together by friends. This will be released during the week coinciding with friendship day this year.
According to Writer- director Viju Mane, he was overwhelmed by the appreciation received for his series ‘Struggler Salaa’ and hence decided to choose a nostalgic experience on friendship , which revolves around planning of Goa trip by a group friends. He is confident that the audience will treat this film close to them. However, the most important details like starcast of the film, has been kept in abeyance.
Siddharth Jadhav to play double role in Marathi play ‘Animal’

Popular Actor Siddharth Jadhav is returning to Marathi stage after 8 years. And this time, he will be appearing in successive shows of the new play ‘Animal‘ in which he will be playing the double role. These shows will be performed in theatres at places like Thane, Borivali, Vashi, Dadar, Parle and Mulund.
Written and directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, at present the rehearsals of this play are in full swing. Very soon the first show of this play will begin from Thane. The story of this play revolves around a youngster Dattu who comes to Mumbai from a village to fulfil his dream of becoming an actor. For Siddharth Jadhav, this will be the most challenging role in this one act play. Writer- director Mahesh Manjrekar has himself composed the music of this play.
‘Bappa – Aapli Yaari Gavavar Bhari…’ to release on 15th May
Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Bappa’ with a tagline‘Aapli Yaari Gavavar Bhari..’ , which has already won three awards prior to its release at Pune International Film Festival (PIFF), is now getting ready for its theatre release. The date of film’s release has been announced for 15th May 2026. The recently released poster of this film has been well accepted on social media.
The backpose of an actress seen on the poster and the reaction on the faces of artistes on facing her, have been well captured. Actually, this actress in the poster is played by Rajashree Deshpande. But, the secret behind her standing in that pose, will be known, only after watching this film. The other lead artistes of this film are, Girish Kulkarni, Devika Daftardar, Shrikant Yadav and Aryan Mengji.
This film is Directed by Sameer Tiwari and produced by Mutkal Telang and Sameer Tiwari.
Suspense filled ‘Bol Bol Rani’ to release on 10th July
After the release of its few seconds video filled with suspense and curiosity, makers of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Bol Bol Rani’ have also announced the release date of their film as 10th July 2026. The video shows a lady sitting on a chair with her hands tied. In the background you listen a suspense filled music. Followed by sound of firing of a bullet. And, this is enough to raise the curiosity about this film.
Highlight of this film is its cast. Three top artistes namely, Subodh Bhave, Sai Tamhankar and Chinmay Mandlekar are coming together after fifteen long years. Along with them will be Sambhaji Sasane in an important role.
According to producer – director of this film Mr. Sid Vinchurkar , “ Thriller presentation does not necessarily mean creating fear. But, raising questions in the minds of audience and keeping them glued to their seats.”
Sanghapriy Kadam – Poet & Lyricist, who can write songs on demand
He is an employee of a renowned Sports Club in Borivali, Mumbai and for the past twenty years, he has been writing poems, which come to his mind instantly, after observing a particular situation. During the recent BMC elections, many political party candidates approached him to write a song for their election campaign and this polite and silent worker obliged all of them. One of the candidates, for whom he had written a song, also won the elections.
Sanghapriy had developed this hobby in him since his schooldays. He was always in a habit of writing poems on different subjects on demand. He has also made the collection of his poetries. Not knowing the marketing gimmicks, he just went on increasing his contributions to his own collection. Few years ago, he contributed his poems to Ashok Saraf’s publication ‘Shri Tashi Sau’.
Recently, Sanghapriy released his two music videos on the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti. The first one was titled ‘Janma Jhala Shivbacha’ which was a timely music video on his lyrics, rendered by Arwind Mohite. And the other devotional song video titled ‘Mojmaap’ presented by Naad and rendered by Rahul Dugal on his lyrics with music provided by Rahul- Gaurav.

‘Subhedar Guest House’ – A well presented suspense filled murder mystery

Latest released suspense filled Marathi drama ‘Subhedar Guest House’ (सुभेदार गेस्ट हाऊस) is set against the backdrop of a murder, which takes place in Kolhapur. And, we notice a group of strangers arriving in a guest house at Panhala (the same rainy evening); which is just 30 kms away from Kolhapur.
So, we find the guest house ownersVinay ( Saurabh Gokhale) and Chitra ( Mrunmayee Gondalekar) welcoming their guests, one by one comprising of five different characters played by Angad Mhaskar, Vinita Date, Sana Kulkarni, Rohit Deshmukh and Anand Patil. Thereafter, we see the arrival of a Police officer Bhosale, played by Shantanu Moghe, at this venue.
When the Police Officer starts his investigation, he clearly indicates that all seven characters present in the guest house ( including the owners) will be questioned and they will have to prove themselves not guilty. On the same night, another murder takes place in the guest house and director Vijay Kenkre, calls for interval.
In the post interval stage, the audience becomes curious to know, who is the culprit? And with few twists and turns, we find this play reaching at an interesting stage of climax; which suprises almost everyone.
The most interesting part of this play is its clever presentation, which is based on Agatha Christie’s popular original murder mystery play ‘The Mouse Trap’. Moreover, Sandesh Bendre’s wonderful set design, Sheetal Talpade’s superb light effects, Mangal Kenkre’s perfect costumes and Ajit Parab‘s suitable music, has helped to create that desired impact on the audience. However, without the superb performances of the artistes, it would not have been possible to hold the audience to their seats from start to finish.
Two characters, namely Inspector Bhosale (Shantanu Moghe) and Amit Desai( Angad Mhaskar) find enough scope to display their acting skills with the help of their rich voice and perfect body language respectively. ‘Subhedar Guest House’ is certainly a worth watch play for all those who love to watch plays with action filled murder mystery.

‘Tighee’ trailer hints at emotion filled story
Trailer of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Tighee’ was released recently. This film filled with emotions presents three women comprising of a Mother and her two daughters. The tagline of this film ‘Aaicha Ghar Hazar Aathavani’ (आईचं घर, हजार आठवणी – Mother’s house, thousands of memories), says it all. This film stars Bharati Achrekar in the role of Mother and Sonalee Kulkarni and Nehha Pendse-Bayas playing her two daughters.
This film is produced by Nikhil Mahajan, Surhud Godbole, Swapnil Bhangale and Neha Pendse Bayas and is written and directed by Jeejivisha Kale. According to Jijivisha, “Love between Mother and daughter is beyond words. Love cannot be expressed, it is felt. And, sufferings don’t speak, they are understood. Through ‘Tighee’ we have presented those unspoken expressions and unseen emotions. This film will be released on 6th March 2026.”
