Mrunmayee Deshpande and Sandeep Khare to present ‘Nal Damayanti’ audio drama
With the rising popularity of Audio Book format, Storytel have produced an ‘Nul Damayanti’ which is based on renowned writer Anand Neelkanthan’s novel ‘Nul Damayanti’. This audio drama will be released in 9 Indian languages at a time. The Marathi version of this audio drama is presented in the voice of Mrunmayee Deshpande and Sandeep Khare.
Anand Neelkanthan, who has written many books is known for his writing for ‘Bahubali’ , ‘Asur- Tale of Vanquished’ on Netflix, ‘Siya Ke Raam’ ( Star Plus), Chakravartin Ashok Samrat ( Colors), ‘Hanuman’ ‘Sarfarosh ( Sony TV) etc. This is the first time, he has written an audio drama in the form of ‘Nul Damayanti’. Storytel are more than happy to present this old tale from mythology which according to them is sure to invite the attention of the audio lovers.
Adinath Kothare to play ‘Daulat’ in ‘Chandramukhi’
Ever since the teaser of the film ‘Chandramukhi’ has been released, there has been curiosity to know who was playing the character of Daulat in this film, as the photo did not reveal the face clearly. Now, that curtain has been raised and the name of the actor has been announced as Adinath Kothare. ‘Chandramukhi’ is based on Vishwas Patil’s novel with the same name.
The film presents this strong character of Daulat Deshmane who as a leader was always there to help the people in need of justice. Produced by Akshay Bardapurkar, Planet Marathi, Golden Resho Films and presented by Creative Vibes productions, this film is directed by Prasad Oak with Screenplay and dialogues by Chinmay Mandlekar. According to the makers of this film, this film will be released in theatres.
’38 Krushna Villa’ will be Dr. Girish Oak’s 50th play
Dr. Girish Oak is a versatile actor, having performed in various stage plays, TV serials and films. His 50 th play ’38 Krushna Villa (’38 कृष्ण व्हिला’)’ directed by Vijay Kenkre will soon be staged with the inaugural show to be held at Deenanath Mangeshkar Natyagruh @ 4.15 pm on 19th March 2022. This will be followed by 2nd show at Gadkari Rangayatan, Thane on 20th March 2022 @ 4.30 pm.
This play is produced by Mihir Gavali and is written by Shweta Pendse, who has also performed lead role in this play opposite Dr. Girish Oak. Production designer is Sandesh Bendre, while Mangal Kenkre has designed the costumes. Music is by Ajit Parab and Shital Talpade has handled the light effects.
In this play Dr. Girish Oak plays a high profile character of Devdutt Kamat whoi is accused by a stranger woman Nandini Chitre with some serious charges. And then begins the challenge before Devdutt Kamat to prove himself not guilty.
New Marathi Film ‘Samrenu’ teaser launched
Teaser of new Marathi film ‘Samrenu (समरेणू)’ was launched recently on social media with an interesting tagline ‘Survaat Mahatvachi , Shevat Naay’ (Beginning is important and not the end). Presented by M.R. Film World this film is written and directed by Mahesh Dongre. Pramod Kavde, Balasaheb Borkar, Balaji More, and Yuvraj Shelar are the co producers of this film.
Till now, the names of the artistes of this film have not been announced but one thing is sure that it will be a love story, as indicated through the teaser. Lyrics of this film are penned by Guru Thakur and Kshitij Patwardhan and music is by Suraj- Dheeraj. Popular singers like Kunal Ganjawala, Niti Mohan, Aadarsh Shinde and Ajay Gogavale have lent their voices for the songs. The release date of this film in theatres has been announced as 13th May 2022.
‘Mee Vasantaro’ ready for release on 1st April 2022
The much talked about film ‘Mee Vasantaro’ to be presented by Jio studios is now all set for release on 1st April 2022 coinciding with the auspicious Gudhi Padwa day. Recently, trailer of this film was released by popular actor Nana Patekar in a ceremony held recently, in presence of Director Nipun Dharmadhikari, Rahul Deshpande, Anita Date, Sarang Sathye, Kaumudi Walokar, Amey Wagh, Subodh Bhave, Hrishikesh Joshi, Jitendra Joshi and others.
Speaking on this occasion, chief guest Nana Patekar said, “ Renowned people don’t say Good bye to this world. They always remain in our heart through music.This is what P.L.Deshpande used to say. And this is very true in the case of Late Vasantrao Deshpande. He knew all the forms of music. His knowledge was vast. I am fortunate to have met him . I have seen this film on his life and it has been presented very well. This film will be one of the best films in Marathi. And Rahul has done full justice in the role of his grandfather.”

First song of ‘Vishu’ released
After releasing the poster of ‘Vishu’ few days ago, now the makers of this Marathi film have released the first song of this film ‘Hi Jadoo Tujhi…’ . This romantic song is picturised on Gashmeer Mahajani and Mrunmayee Godbole. In this song we find the Gashmir dressed in casuals, dreaming all the time about his dream girl Mrunmayee while she is at work in office . This song is written by Mangesh Kangane with music provided by Hrishikesh Kamekar.
Speaking about this song, both Gashmeer and Mrunmayee said, “In this film you will find a romantic love story and the first song of this film has turned out to be a perfect song to express love through emotions. We are sharing the screen for the first time and we are sure, the audience would love our chemistry. This film produced by Babu Krushna Bhoir is written and directed by Mayur Madhukar Shinde. ‘Baipan Bhari Devaa’ will be Kedar Shinde’s next film
On the occasion of International Women’s day, director Kedar Shinde announced his next Marathi film ‘Baipan Bhari Devaa’ with the release of film’s teaser poster. This film is presented by Jio Studios and produced by Madhuri Bhosale along with Bela Shinde and Ajit Bhure as co producers. This is the second Marathi film to be presented by Jio Studios after ‘Mee Vasantrao’ which will be released soon.
Speaking on this occasion, Kedar Shinde said, “Women’s day was the best time to release the poster of this film. I always feel that just one day in a year is not enough to celebrate ‘Women’s day’, as the contribution made by Women today in every field is enormous. The film stars popular women artistes. However, their names have been kept in abeyance.
