Tejaswini Pandit launches new web show on her birthday
Some people make their birthdays very special, by making some announcements. Popular Marathi actress Tejaswini Pandit on the occasion of her birthday made a special announcement. Tejaswini has turned a producer along with her friend from Dubai Mr. Santosh Kher. Together they have launched their company ‘Creative Vibe’ and their first project will be a Marathi Web Show, which they will be presenting through Planet Marathi platform.
Speaking about her new venture, Tejaswini says, “This birthday is very special for me as I will be entering a new field to take up more responsibilities. Through ‘Creative Vibe’ I would not only like to reach out to audience from Maharashtra but the entire world, offering them good entertainment. I would really like to focus on new subjects and would like to offer opportunity to newcomers. Though I have turned a producer, my acting will go on simultaneously.”
Creative Vibe will not only produce web shows but also Serials and films in future.
Music director Vijay Patil aka Ramlaxman passes away at 78
Well known music director Vijay Patil popularly known with his name Ramlaxman passed away today at Nagpur due to heart failure. He was 78. He had received his first break in Marathi films through Dada Kondke’s film ‘Pandu Hawaldar’ in 1975,along with his partner Surendra and named their duo Raamlaxman. He lost his partner soon after signing a Hindi film ‘Agent Vinod’. But, thereafter Vijay Patil continued his work with the name Raamlaxman and offered with quality music through 75 films in Marathi, Hindi and Bhojpuri languages.
Vijay Patil’s best work was in ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ when he won the filmfare award for best music. He offered best music through films like ‘Hum Aap Ke Hai Koun’, ‘Hum Saath Saath Hai’ and so on. The super hit song ‘Deva Ho Deva Ganapati Deva’ composed by him in the film ‘Hum Se Badhkar Koun’ is still played during Ganapati festivals. With his sad demise, the film industry has lost a dedicated music composer with his own style.
Poster of ‘Shivputra Sambhaji’ launched
On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the poster of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Shivputra Sambhaji’ was launched on social media. Written by Pratap Gangavane and directed by Ajit Shirole, the announcement of this film had already generated a lot of curiosity among the film lovers and now with the launch of the poster, the expectations of the film lovers about this film have also gone up.
Speaking about his film, director Ajit Shirole said that he was always inspired by the life of Sambhaji Maharaj, who at the age of 14 had learned many languages and had also done a lot of reading on different subjects and had also written books. “For me this film is a dream project and therefore for the past ten years I studied a lot on this subject. After watching the Hollywood film ‘300’ ten years ago, I was fascinated by the VFX effects and made up my mind that in my film too, I will use such quality effects.”
Made under the banner of Shivani Movies and Dhanraj Productions, Shooting of this film will begin soon after lifting of lockdown restrictions and will be shot at real locations like Raigad, Sangameshwar etc. It will be released in four different languages.

First film of Planet Marathi OTT ‘June’ due for release
For the past several days we have been watching the announcements of web series and web films by Planet Marathi OTT platform. But now, their first Marathi film ‘June’ is all set for release next month. Therefore, there is a lot of curiosity about this film, which stars Neha Pendse, Siddharth Menon, Kiran Karmarkar, Resham Srivardhanand Nilesh Divekar in lead roles.
Directed by Surhud Godbole and Vaibhav Khisti and written by Nikhil Mahajan, music of this film is composed by Singer turned Music director Shalmalee Kholgade, who is making her debut as music director through this film. Lyrics are penned by Jitendra Joshi, while this film is produced by Shardul Singh Bayas, Neha Pendse Bayas, Nikhil Mahajan & Pawan Malu.
Trailer of this film has been released today on the official website of Planet Marathi. ‘June’ was already selected at the 51st IFFI in Indian Panorama section. Now, this film has also been selected at the Pune & Kerala film festivals besides prestigious New York film festival.
Double celebration for Hansraj Jagtap
Hansraj Jagtap who made his debut as a child star with the Marathi film ‘Dhhag’ which won two National awards and also appreciation award for himself, later proved his acting skills as a teenager with films like ‘Ek Hota Pani’, ‘Re Raya’, ‘Itemgiri’, ‘ Yaari Dosti’, ‘Sur Sapata’ and others.
Now, his new film ‘Pranay Master’ is all set to release on 16th May on Shemaroo Marathi Bana at 12 noon with a World Premiere. Hansraj who comes from a Village in Beed district has a big fan following on social media. He himself made this announcement on social media, on the occasion of his birthday which was celebrated recently at his home. With the announcement of the World Premiere of his new film, this has turned out to be a double celebration for him.
This is Hansraj;s second film with award winning director Shivaji Loten Patil after ‘Dhhag’. Hansraj is playing the lead character besides Prasad Oak playing the title role.
Kitchen Recipe Programme for Home Viewers from 17th May
Due to lockdown, the telecast of Kitchen Recipe programme ‘Angat Pangat’ on Fakta Marathi was postponed during the past few months. Now, this programme will be aired from 17th May 2021 Monday to Friday at 2 pm on this channel. Highlight of this programme is that three different recipes will be presented which will be based on one main ingredient.
The first section will comprise of our own desi , the second will be on mixed fusion recipe and the third will be foreign recipe. This Kitchen show is produced by Nikhil Raibole and Bhupendrakumar Nandan for Café Marathi and directed by Hemant Tambe. Script is by Abhijit Pendharkar. Renowned Chef Shantanu Gupte will present his different types of Indian and International recipes and many Marathi celebrities will also be part of this programme.
‘Khel Mandala’ to be premiered on Fakta Marathi this friday
Having announced daily shows of Super hit Marathi films during the month of May on their channel, Fakta Marathi Channel is inviting all the attention of the home viewers. This Friday, the channel is all set to premiere internationally acclaimed Marathi film ‘Khel Mandala’. (movie review) This film will be premiered at 11.30 am on coming Friday on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya.
‘Khel Mandala’ is an emotion filled story of a father and his little daughter. Speaking about his film writer- director Viju Mane said that it was because of well presented story, the film could influence even the international audience. Lead actor Mangesh Desai who has put in all the efforts in presenting the strong character of father in this film, has attributed the credit to the producer Ashok Narkar and writer- director Viju Mane, for showing confidence in him. Besides the character of the little girl played by Ananya Devre, the film also stars Prasad Oak, Manasi Salvi, Uday Sabnis, Urmila Kanitkar & Santosh Juvekar.
Motion Poster of ‘Kandil’ unveiled on social media
The motion poster of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Kandil’ unveiled on social media recently. The film is already receiving very good response from different film festivals and has also been scheduled to be screened at the 19th Pune International Film Festival this year. Directed by debutant Mahesh Kand is also expected to be released in theatres all over Maharashtra as early as possible this year.
Produced under the banner of L.K. Pictures by Producers Laxman Kand, Abhijeet Kand and Mahesh Kand, this issue based film revolves around five poor but extraordinary youngsters living in a slum, who dream of becoming rich after having been subjected to a lot of oppression as well as frustration on their path. The five youngsters form the backdrop of the recently unveiled poster of the film “Kandil”. While three youngsters are seen seated on a rock under the tree, while one is shown resting over the tree and the fifth is looking towards the skies with a ray of hope written large on his face about a bright future.
The director of this film, Mahesh Kand has had already undergone the journey of struggle in his path to become a filmmaker, as he has not taken any training at any film institute for direction but has made it a point to learn all about the various techniques of filmmaking just by participating in different films festivals and film club screenings. Mahesh has also assisted quite a few filmmakers in direction as the chief assistant, including Milind Ukey in the making of his ambitious film “Humne Jeena Seekh Liya”, besides learning for a lot of years under the tutelage of the renowned writer like Amarjeet Aamle. Mahesh has also done a part time diploma course at Fergusson College in Pune in Photography. Mahesh spent three years in a slum to do his research. The film will be showcased at various International Film Festival before it is released in Theaters of all over Maharashtra.
The film stars Mahesh Kand, Laxman Salunke, Vinod Khurangle, Mandar Phakatkar, Divyaraj Ovwal and Dilip Ashtekar . While Amarjeet Aamle has written the screenplay of ‘Kandil’, Mahesh Kand and Suhas Munde have jointly penned the lyrics for the songs for this film. Mangesh Dhakde who has won the Filmfare award this year and has composed the music for films like “Valu” and “Deool”, has composed for ‘Kandil’, while Nandesh Umap, J. Subodh and Chandradeep Bhaskar have rendered their voices for the songs for the film Sound Mixing has been done by Anup Dev while the National Award winning sound designer M. Sabannavar has designed the sound for the film. Prasad More has cranked the camera for the film . Nilesh Rasal and Dinesh Bhalerao have edited the film.
