‘Gosht Eka Paithanichi’ now on Planet Marathi
Marathi film ‘Gosht Eka Paithanichi’ which received National award for the best Marathi film during the 68th National Film Awards in 2022, has now been released on Planet Marathi OTT platform at a concessional rate on VOD section from 4th February 2023. VOD introduced by Planet Marathi , will allow Marathi entertainment lovers to watch their favourite Films, web series and dramas available in this section.

Actress Sayali Sanjeev the leading lady of ‘Goshta Eka Paithanichi’ is excited about the release of this film on OTT platform which coincides with her birthday. So, it’s a big birthday gift for her, after receiving success in theatres all over Maharashtra. Bike rally in Dadar to promote ‘Goshta Eka Paithanichi’
Makers of ‘Goshta Eka Paithanichi’ had organised a bike rally of women in Dadar’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Park area on Saturday to promote their film which was released earlier day. Generally promotions of the films take place before the release of the film, but makers of this film tried this experiment to promote their film along with their film’s release.
During the bike rally every woman who took part in the rally was presented with a ‘Paithani’ a rich traditional saree of Maharashtra. Some games and lucky draw were also organised on this occasion. Leading lady of the film Sayali Sanjeev also joined the women during this bike rally. The reason for organising this rally was to encourage women to pursue their hobbies and dreams.
Overwhelmed with this response, Sayali Sanjeev reacted, “This is a special moment for me. I am very happy with the love and affection showered on me by my friends.” Directed by Shantanu Rode this film also stars Suvrat Joshi, Mrunal Kulkarni, Suhita Thatte, Milind Gunaji, Madhura Velankar, Girija Oak and Aditi Dravid.
Sayali, Suvrat speak about their roles in ‘Goshta eka Paithanichi’
Much awaited Marathi film ‘Goshta eka Paithanichi’ is all set to release this Friday and therefore there is a lot of curiosity to know what the film is all about ? Lead artistes of this film Sayali Sanjeev and Suvrat Joshi have tried to explain about their characters in this film and how they prepared for these roles.
Sayali who plays a woman stiching blouses and making fall bidding for the sarees says that she always wants to study her characters and prepare for the same before the shooting. And therefore when she was offered this role, she actually joined a stichting class to understand the techniques of stitching so that she could portray her character naturally.
Suvrat who plays a flower vendor in this film, says that he prepared himself by standing next to flower vendors on the street and observed their body language closely. These characters though look simple, are very challenging to portray and that is why both these lead artistes studied them in their own ways. ‘Goshta Eka Paithanichi’, ‘June’ & ‘Mee Vasantrao’ to receive national awards
This year’s best Marathi film national award will be presented to ‘Goshta Eka Paithanichi’ directed by Shantanu Rode and starring Sayali Sanjeev and Suvrat Joshi in lead roles. Overwhelmed by this award for her film, actress Sayali Sanjeev said that she had put in lot of efforts in her role and therefore was happy that her film bagged national award. She said that she was dedicating this award to her father.
Siddharth Menon who played the lead role in Marathi film ‘June’ has been awarded Best actor Special Jury mention award. This has come as the biggest gift for Suiddharth who feels that his dream has been fulfilled. He said that he was dedicating his award to the entire team of ‘June’. This film is directed by Surhud Godbole and Vaibhav Khisti and written by Nikhil Mahajan. Both these films have been produced by Planet Marathi.
Another Marathi film ‘Me Vasantrao’ invited all the attention, as this film bagged two national awards. Best playback singer award for this film was declared for Rahul Deshpande, while best sound recording award for this film was declared for Anmol Bhave. Director of this film Nipun Dharmadhikari expressed his happiness on this achievement and said that music was the soul of this film.
Planet Marathi make their presence felt at Expo 2020 Dubai, UAE
Maharashtra Government, Cultural Department have organised Expo 2020 Dubai, UAE, between 19th November to 26th November. On this occasion in the Indian Pavilion, the first Marathi OTT platform Planet Marathi made its presence felt, with teaser launch of their web series ‘Sahela Re’ and organising premiere show of their film ‘Goshta Eka Paithanichi’.
This was well received with the presence of Maharashtra Cultural Minister Amit Deshmukh and other dignitaries like IAS Shri Saurabh Vijay, IAS Kailash Pagare and IAS Shri Kumar Khaire. Speaking on this occasion Mr. Deshmukh was all praise for the efforts taken by Planet Marathi for offering quality content and wished them all the best for future progress. Planet Marathi which has the support of Vitas Media Capital Co. to reach out to worldwide audience also received the ‘Achievers Award’ on this occasion. Mr. Bardapurkar chief of Planet Marathi seemed to be very happy with this latest achievement of Planet Marathi.
Suvrat Joshi does dubbing of his film from London
The corona pandemic has come in the way of many projects, which were nearing completion. Some films makers finished the shooting of their films, but the post production work is held up. One such film is ‘Goshta Eka Paithanichi’. The dubbing work of lead actor Suvrat Joshi was pending, as the actor was held up in London.
However, recently to overcome this problem the make
rs of this film and director Shantanu Rode thought of a plan. They asked Suvrat to visit a studio in London for his dubbing work, which monitored online from India by director Shantanu Rode. The technicians present at the studio were from Bangaladesh and Poland. So, it turned out to be an unusual experience for Suvrat.
The film is produced by Planet Marathi, Golden Resho Films and Lakeside Productions and stars Sayali Sanjeev, Suvrat Joshi, Shashank Ketkar and Milind Gunaji in lead roles.
Post production work of ‘Gosht Eka Paithanichi’ resumes
Producers Akshay Bardapurkar, Abhayanand Singh, Chintamani Dagde and writer director Shantanu Ganesh Rode had completed shooting of their Marathi film ’Goshta Eka Paithanichi’ little before the imposition of lockdown. However, they could not continue with their post production work of this film, due to imposition of lock down for almost more than two months. But now, with the relaxations offered by Government to begin the film shooting work and post production work in a phased manner taking all the necessary precautions, now the post production work of this film has resumed.
Recently, actress Sayali Sanjeev completed her dubbing work for this film taking all the necessary precautions. So now, the film is getting for release soon. Along with Sayali Sanjeev the film stars Suvrat Joshi, Shashank Ketkar and Milind Gunaji. The names of other artistes in the film have not been disclosed yet. Only few days ago the teaser of this film was released on social media which received good response. Now, all eyes on the film’s release date to be announced soon, but not before everything returns to normal.
Six new film projects announced by Producer Akshay Bardapurkar
Only a day after the release of a Mega Venture Film ‘AB ani CD’ by Producer Akshay Bardapurkar of Planet Marathi, the orders for closure of Cinema halls and the Drama theaters were issued by the Government. This collapsed the Box Office arithmetic of many other films along with ‘AB aani CD’. However, without getting bogged down by this sudden onslaught, Producer Akshay Bardapurkar and his team took a brave decision to release this film on Amazon Prime.
Considering the propriety of occasion of Maharashtra Day and Labour Day on the 1st May, the film was released on the Amazon Prime and it received a good response. Now with this success, Planet Marathi is going to produce six new films & Web series projects. Producer Akshay Bardapurkar announced this recently. Two of the important films that would be arriving under the banner are ‘Gosht Eka Paithanichi’ Directed by Shantanu Rode and ‘Chandramukhi’ Directed by Prasad Oak.
The Producers have said that they would make available many
opportunities during future projects for Planet Talent artists as well
as fresh talents for encouraging them. Above projects will have both a genuine variety as well as roles played by top actors from Bollywood. However, the information about the cast as well as directors and the faces from Bollywood appearing in these films has been a secret for now. The decision is going to be most important from the angle of maintaining stability for many economic arithmetic issues.
Milind Gunaji shows the way
Known for his commitment and sincerity Milind Gunaji has earned a good name in film industry. Recently, when he was casted for an important role in the forthcoming Marathi film ‘Goshta Eka Paithanichi’, Milind asked for the script before he proceeded to Bangkok for the shooting of his another film.
When he returned from Bangkok, Milind reported for the shooting of ‘Goshta Eka Paithanichi’ as per the schedule. He took no time to get ready for shoot, as he was prepared with his dialogues. This clearly displayed his professionalism in this acting field. More so, his preparations made the director Shantanu Rode more than happy.
Milind plays the role of Inamdar a rich person in this film, who loves his wife through his heart and meets all her demands happily. Producer Akshay Bardapurkar I highly impressed with the choice of Milind for this role and feels that he perfectly fits into this character.
Shashank Ketkar finds important role in ‘Goshta Eka Paithanichi’
Popular Marathi television actor Shashank Ketkar who has also appeared in some of the films, will now be seen in an important role in forthcoming Marathi film ‘Goshta Eka Paithanichi’ , which is produced by Akshay Bardapurkar and written and directed by Shantanu Rode. The film already stars Suvrat Joshi and Sayali Sanjeev.
This role came as a big surprise for Shashank. It so happened that Shashank had visited the office of Akshay Bardapurkar for some other work. During this meeting, he was asked to go through a script and offered a part for reading. This turned out to be an offer for an important role in his film ‘Goshta Eka Paithanichi’.
Speaking about this offer, Shashank admits that it all happened all of a sudden and after reading the story and his role, he liked the concept and agreed to perform in this film.
