Synopsis
Marathi film ‘Copy’ thrown light on the disorganised education system followed in one of the schools, especially at the Taluka level . It also shown how the trustees of the schools manipulate the administrative procedure by blocking the salaries of teachers and encourage some of the teachers to run the private coaching classes and with their help allow the children to ‘copy’ during the final exams, to inflate the result percentage of the school.

18th Sanskruti Kaladarpan Film Fest to begin with ‘Copy’
Marathi film ‘Copy‘ which has already created a buzz at different film festivals, prior to its official release, will be the opening film at the 18th Sanskruti Kaladarpan Film Festival, which is scheduled to begin soon. Earlier, this film was selected at Asian Film Festival and has received nomination for the best debut film in the 55th Maharashtra State Film awards. ‘Copy‘ was also in the semi finalist stage at the prestigious Los Angeles Cine Festival.
‘Copy‘ film, which is produced by Ganesh Ramchandra Patil and directed by Hemant Dhabade is set on the backdrop of mismanagement in education department in handling schools in villages. The village school shown in this film, represents all such schools scattered all over India in different villages. This being a universal subject handled in the film, it has received very good response from the film critics all over the world. The big star cast of this film comprises of Anshuman Vichare, Jagannath Nivangune, Kamlesh Sawant, Milind Shinde, Anil Nagarkar, Rahul Belapurkar, Ashutosh Wadkar, Neeta Donde, Poonam Rane, Shraddha Sawant, Pratiksha Sable, Vidya Bhagwat and others. International standard Balewadi stadium booked for shooting of Marathi film
Many a times, shooting at real locations helps create impact of the film’s theme on the audience. Forthcoming untitled Marathi film made under the banner of Radhe Motion Pictures and directed by Milind Shinde has booked International standard Shiv Chhatrapati Stadium at Balewadi, Pune, for the shooting of their film. The film is based on sports and is a story of a young sportsman, who is denied Shiv Chhatrapati award in spite of his best performance in Athletics, goes back to his village and trains three young petty thieves into athletics , to make them national level athletes.
Incidentally, this is the first Marathi film based on sports which is being shot at Balewadi. The entire Balewadi stadium had the feel of national level competition, during the shooting. Earlier, Hindi Film ‘Dangal‘ was shot here. Actually, the makers of this film were in search of Synthetic track of athletics and they found the same at Balewadi, which has huge campus. Director Milind Shinde was highly impressed with the arrangements and shooting schedule of this film.
Milind Shinde to direct a sports based film on Rural backdrop
Known for his memorable performances on stage, television and Marathi films, Milind Shinde has established himself as a versatile actor. Now, he will directing an untitled Marathi film on the subject of sports, with rural backdrop. Produced by Radhe Mohan Pictures and scripted by Kiran Berad, the shooting of this film is presently going on at Shirdi. Prior to this, Milind Shinde has tried his hands as a director for Two Marathi films, namely ‘Nach Tujha Lagin Haai‘ and ‘Bhidu‘. But, both the films have not been released so far. ‘Bhidu‘ will be released soon, while ‘Nach Tujha Lagin Haai‘ is battling its fight with censor Board.
Milind’s new film is having ‘Out of the Box’ subject, presenting the story of a young active sportsman who has been denied Shiv Chhatrapati award. He goes back to his village, only to pick up three children involved in thefts and trains them in sports to enable them to reach national level. The film stars Bhushan Pradhan, Sanskruti Balgude, Uday Tikekar, Abhijit Chavan, Nayan Jadhav and Prakash Dhotre in lead roles. Mangesh Dhakde is the music director of this film, while the camera is handled by Pratap Nair.

‘Chaurya’ receives appreciation from Government prior to its release
Some films remain in news prior to their release, for offering something different to the audience. Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Chaurya‘ will be released in ‘Accessibility Format’, which is happening for the first time in India. This format of film, also enables the Blind and deaf people to enjoy the film. The makers of this film have already received an appreciation letter from Department of Empowerment of persons with Disabilities ( DEPwD) , Government of India.
‘Chaurya‘ which will be released on 5th August 2016, is produced by Nilesh Navalakha, Vivek Kajaria & Aswini Patil, is directed by Sameer Patil, who has himself written the story of this film. Some of the main characters in the film have used the masks of some popular Bollywood artistes; but that was the need of the script, according to the makers of this film. They have also thanked Aashay Sahasrabuddhe , for his technical assistance, to present this film in accessibility format.

Marathi film makers have always been in the forefront right from the days of late Dadasaheb Phalke. In the recent past, we saw tremendous progress made by our Marathi film makers attempting something new, which were introduced for the first time in Indian cinema. Now, producers Nilesh Navalakha,Vivek Kajaria, Ashwini Patil and director Sameer Asha Patil will be offering their forthcoming Marathi film ‘Chaurya‘ in accessible format, for the first time in India. Accessible format will enable the visually and hearing impaired to enjoy the film more.
On Monday evening music of this film was released in presence of producers, director, music director Mayuresh Kelkar, lyricist Shamrao Dhamankar, Vishnu Thore, Sameer Asha Patil, artistes Milind Shinde, Ganesh Yadav, Digvijay Rohidas, newcomer Tirtha Murbadkar & Shruti Kulkarni. Lead actor Kishore Kadam could not make it for this event, as he was bust shooting for his another film. Visually impaired girls from a special school, along with their principal released the music of this film.
The film ‘Chaurya‘ which is supposed to be a suspense filled thriller is set on the backdrop of Shani Shingnapur; but has also been shot at Chambal .Posters of the film ‘Chaurya‘, with the artistes wearing masks of popular Bollywood actors like Amitabh Bachchan , Sridevi, Amrish Puri & Rajnikant were prominently displayed at the venue. When the makers were asked, about the possibility of these artistes objecting to their photos on the posters of the film, Producer Nilesh Navalakha stated that there was nothing wrong in it, as the artistes of this film are just wearing their masks. To know the reason, you will have to see this film. The film is all set to release on 5th August 2016.
