‘To Ti Aani Fuji’ to star Lalit Prabhakar and Mrunmayee Godbole
Having worked together in the past for the successful film ‘Chi Sou Ka’ , Lalit Prabhakar and Mrunmayee Godbole have been paired in the lead roles for the forthcoming Marathi film ‘To Ti Aani Fuji’, as announced by Platoon Films recently. The story of this film revolves around a love story which happened in India and Japan. Mohit Takalkar who recently made his debut in Marathi films through Medium Spicy’ will be directing this film.

The story of this film is written by successful writer Iravati Karnik , who feels that each one of us have missed the bus of true expected love and always look back at those sweet and bitter moments. “ I am sure, this film will take the audience down memory lane to such happenings in their respective lives.”
According to the producers Shiladitya Bora and Rakesh Ware, this film will be shot at different picturesque locations like Pune, Kolad, Tokyo, Kyoto and Mount Fuji. Two cinematographers will handle the cinematography. The shooting of this film will begin soon and the film will be released on 17th February 2023 all over India.
Gajendra Ahire’s flm ‘Hodi’ (Dear Molly) to be released on 1st July
Renowned director Gajendra Ahire who has directed many quality Marathi films, is now getting ready to release his latest film Hodi (Dear Molly) which will also be released in Hindi and English languages besides Marathi. Recently, the poster of this film was released recently and it has become clear that Gurbani Gill, Alok Rajwade, Mrunmayee Godbole, Ashwini Giri, Liya Boysen and Christer Holmgren in lead roles.

Speaking about his film, Gajendra Ahire says, ” For the past few days I was waiting for the announcement of release date of this film and now the date has been announced. This film is a family film based on a beautiful delicate relationship. All my films have been on social issues and I enjoy making films on the ‘out of the box’ subjects.”
‘Hodi’ (‘Dear Molly’) is presented by Manmohan Shetty and Ganesh Jain and produced by Pravin Nischal and Ratan Jain. Cinematography is by Krishna Sorren.
Trailer of ‘Vishu’ released
Trailer of Shree Krupa Productions’ Marathi film ‘Vishu’ was released recently, giving a clear indication how a young man working in the busy city, has his native place Konkan in his mind all the time. This shows how deep are his roots in the picturesque Konkan. The film presents the sweet Malwani language and pure hearts of the people living there.
Written and directed by Mayur Madhukar Shinde, this film will be released on 8th April in the theatres. According to him, this film is a family entertainer and all the artistes have done justice to their roles. Along with the lead pair of Gashmeer Mahajani and Mrunmayee Godbole, the film also stars Eitasha Sanzgiri, Manasi Mohile, Milind Pathak, Vijay Nikam, Sanjay Gurubakshani, Pradnesh Dingorkar in lead roles. Hrishikesh Kamerkar has composed the music of this film on the lyrics of Mangesh Kangane. Cinematography is by Mohit Jadhav.
First song of ‘Vishu’ released
After releasing the poster of ‘Vishu’ few days ago, now the makers of this Marathi film have released the first song of this film ‘Hi Jadoo Tujhi…’ . This romantic song is picturised on Gashmeer Mahajani and Mrunmayee Godbole. In this song we find the Gashmir dressed in casuals, dreaming all the time about his dream girl Mrunmayee while she is at work in office . This song is written by Mangesh Kangane with music provided by Hrishikesh Kamekar.
Speaking about this song, both Gashmeer and Mrunmayee said, “In this film you will find a romantic love story and the first song of this film has turned out to be a perfect song to express love through emotions. We are sharing the screen for the first time and we are sure, the audience would love our chemistry. This film produced by Babu Krushna Bhoir is written and directed by Mayur Madhukar Shinde. Teaser of ‘Vishu’ unveiled on social media
Teaser of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Vishu (विशु )’ was recently unveiled on social media. Directed by Mayur Madhukar Shinde the film stars Gashmir Mahajani in title role along with Mrunmayee Godbole, Eitasha Sanzgiri Manasi Mohile, Milind Pathak, Vijay Nikam and Sanjay Gurbakshani.
Produced by Babu Krishna Bhoir this film has been set on the backdrop of picturesque Konkan region and revolves around the lead character Vishu. According to the director, he really enjoyed working with the entire star cast of this film, who according to him are all versatile artistes. He feels that this unique love story between the lead pair with opposite nature, would interest the Marathi audience.
The story of this film is written by director Mayur Shinde himself while the screenplay and dialogues are by Rrishikesh Koli. Music by Hrishikest Mamerkar and lyrics by Mangesh Kagne are the other credits. Cinematography is by Mohit Jadhav
Makers of ‘Jhimma’ arrange special show for Team ‘Pandu’
Makers of much talked about Marathi film ‘Jhimma’ recently organised a special show of their film, inviting the entire team of the film ‘Pandu‘ which is made by Zee Studios. This was a fine gesture on the part of makers of ‘Jhimma’ and the team of ‘Pandu’ also reciprocated well by appreciating the film ‘Jhimma’ on this occasion. The coming together of two teams has clearly shown that there is no business rivalry between Marathi film makers, as far as the film business is concerned.
Director of ‘Jhimma’ Mr. Hemant Dhome who spoke on this occasion, said “This is the best example to display cordial relationship that exists among different producers in Marathi film industry, unlike Hindi film industry. ‘Jhimma’ to release in theatres on 19th November
Teaser of Hemant Dhome directed Marathi film Jhimma‘s was released on International women’s day, indicating that the film was ready for release soon. However, due to lockdown restrictions, this film could not be released till date. Now, there is an official announcement from the makers of this film that ‘Jhimma’ will be released in theatres on 19th November 2021. This will also be the first Marathi film to be released in theatres after reopening of theatres post lockdown.
Revolving around a group of happy go lucky women from different fields, who come together to enjoy their life. Presented by Chalchitra Company , produced by Amey Vinod Khopkar and Crazy Few Films and written by Iravati karnik, this film stars Nirmiti Sawant, Suhas Joshi, Suchitra Bandekar, Kshiti Jog, Sonalee, Sayali Sanjeev, Mrinmayee Godbole along with Siddharth Chandekar. Music by Amitraj and cinematography by sanjay Memane are the other credits of this film.

But now, she presents herself in a new role as producer as well as actress in the film ‘Jhimma’, which is directed by Hemant Dhome.
This film starring Kshiti Jog along with Nirmiti Sawant, Suhas Joshi, Sonalee, Sayali Sanjeev, Mrunmayee Godbole, Suchitra Bandekar and Siddharth Chandekar is jointly produced by Kshiti Jog along with Swati Khopkar, Ajinkya Dhamal, Viraj Gavas, Urfi Kazmi and Anupam Mishra.
