‘Khisa’ bags Prabodhan best Marathi shortfilm award
Marathi short film ‘Khisa (खिसा)’ has bagged the Prabodhan best Short film award, while the director of this film Raj More has bagged the best director award at the recently concluded Prabodhan International Short film festival, Goregaon. Madan Kale directed film ‘Lagaam (लगाम)’ bagged the second prize, while Viraj Jhunjharrao directed ‘Side Mirror (साईड मिरर)’ bagged the third prize in this competition.
The awards were presented in a ceremony in presence of chief guest Sandeep Kulkarni, Prabodhan , Goregaon founder and Maharashtra Industry Minister Subhash Desai, Senior Film Critic Ashok rane, director Nikhil Mahajan and Prabodhan President Nitin Shinde. Among the other prize winners were,
Best short film on Social subject ‘Tajmahal’,
Best actor: Harish Bawaskar( Tajmahal),
Best actress: Diksha Sonavane (One He Did a Teenage Painting), Best Child actor : Vedant Kshirsagar ( Khisa).
Raj More bags National award for best director on debut for short film ‘Khisa’
Debutant director Raj More has bagged National award for best debutant director for his short film ‘Khisa’, in the non feature film category. ‘Khisaa’ has already invited attention of the critics at the Indian and international festivals, where it was selected for screening. Reacting on this happy occasion, director Raj More says, ” You are all aware that for the past one year ‘Khisa’ has invited attention of people from all over the world, wherever this film was screened at different international film festivals. And now, with this National award I am very happy. This award is not my individual award, but belongs to the entire team of ‘Khisa’. Now, with this honour my team’s responsibility has increased and we assure to offer more quality films.”
‘Khisa’ was also selected at the 51st Indian International Film Festival in Goa. In Istambul Film Awards, ‘Khisa’ received best short film and best screenplay awards and now for the IFA’s annual Live Screening Event for Golden Star award to be held in Istambul, Turkey in March 2021 the film has become eligible. Written by Kailash Waghmare, the story of this film revolves around a small boy from a village . The film stars Kailash Waghmare, Meenakshi Rathod, Shruti Madhideep, Dr. Sheshpal Ganvir and Vedant Kshirsagar.
