Marathi short film ‘Khisa’ finds entry in International Film Festival
Marathi short film ‘Khisa’ which has already invited attention at different national and international film festivals, has now been selected for screening at the 51st International Film Festival, which is scheduled to be held in Goa between 16th – 24th January 2021. Produced by P. P. Cine Productions and Laltippa this film is directed by Raj Pritam More and is written by Kailas Waghmare. The entire shooting of this film was held in Akola in Vidarbha.
‘Khisa’ has already bagged Best film and Best Screenplay awards at the Istambul Film awards 2020 and also bagged the best screenplay award at the prestigious 10th Dadasaheb PhalkeFilm Festival. The film has also been selected for screening at the 2021 IFA annual live screening for the Golden Star award. There are many such festivals where the film was selected. According to the director, this film talks about social atmosphere in the country and the narrow minds of the people living in villages.
It is an emotion filled film which stars Kailash Waghmare, Meenakshi Rathod, Shruti Madhideep, Dr. Sheshpal Ganvir, and Vedant kshirsagar. Music by Parijat Chakravarty, editing by Santosh Maithani and cinematography by Simarjit Singh Suman are the other credits.
