Mahesh Manjrekar’s much awaited ‘BandKhor’ to release on 24th Sept.
Renowned film director Mahesh Manjrekar’s much awaited latest Marathi film ‘Bandkhor’ is all set for release on 22nd September 2026. Recently, teaser of this film, which was released on social media has also raised the expectations from this film, which revolves around six women protagonists who come together to fight injustice.
The six lead characters of this film are played by Chhaya Kadam, Priyadarshini Indalkar, Mrunal Kulkarni, Pooja Katurde, Titiksha Tawde and Nityashree Mahalaxmi. It is not very clear from the teaser, as to what which particular cause they are all fighting for, but, according to director Mahesh Manjrekar, these six characters played by the artistes are reflection of women in this society.
Mahesh also feels that every man should watch this film with his mother, sister , wife, daughter or his friend. This film is produced by Sanjay Shetye, Winson Graphics and presented by Satyasai films. Dialogues are penned by Irawati Karnik.
Auto Workshop Manager to promote ‘Jayanti’ on a bicycle
In today’s digital era, when promotion of films is possible with a click of button, the traditional way of promoting a film on a bicycle still holds good. This was witnessed during promotion of Marathi film ‘Jayanti’ (जयंती). Shoeb Bagwan, a workshop manager in an automobile company in Mumbai, came forward to help the makers of ‘Jayanti’. He approached them after taking a month’s leave from his job.
Shoeb was very much impressed with the name of this film and its poster and teaser which was released on social media recently. He felt that this film deserved better publicity and wanted to be part of it. He decided to travel 830 kms distance from Dadar Chaityabhoomi to Nagpur- Deekshabhoomi on a bicycle by taking halt at every village boundary on the way, to explain people about the film. Speaking about the initiative taken by Shoeb, writer- director of this film Shailesh Naravade says, “ If this film can find an enthusiastic admirer before the release of the film, it is a clear indication that the film will receive a good response.” The film is all set to release on 12th November 2021.
Gauri, Titiksha to return with new serials from today
From today 1st October 2018, two new serials ‘Sur Rahu De‘ & ‘Tu Ashi Javali Raha‘ will begin their innings on Zee Yuva Channel @ 7 pm and 7.30 pm respectively. And through these two serials Gauri Nalawade and Titiksha Tawde will return on small screen . ‘Swanpanchya Palikadle‘ fame Gauri Nalawade is playing the lead role of Aarohi in the serial ‘Sur Rahu De‘ , while Sangram Salvi will play opposite her in the role of Tanmay. As far as their outlook towards life is concerned, both are of opposite type, but when a responsible hard working Aarohi comes into his life, will Tanmay change himself? This is what the subject of this serial is all about. The serial also stars Ila Bhate in prominent role, as noticed in the teaser of this serial.
‘Tu Ashi Javali Raha‘ will present ‘Saraswati‘ fame Titiksha Tawade in a different type of role of Manva opposite renowned Marathi stage actor Siddharth Bodke, who is playing the role of Rajveer. Siddharth was earlier seen in previous serial ‘Nakushi Tari Havihavishi‘. According to the makers, this is an intense love story of different type. Sulekha Talwalkar who played Titiksha’s mother in law in ‘Saraswati‘ will also be returning through this serial. The other artistes of this serial are, Rutirak Phadke, Milind Gavli & Janhavi Panshikar .
