We are all aware that the game of Kabaddi has gained a lot of popularity during the past two years, with the Kabaddi league inviting all the attention during direct match telecast of Superleague on Sports channels. So, what if a Marathi film on the backdrop of this popular Indian game which is also popular in Maharashtra is made with popular stars?
Yes, we are talking about forthcoming Marathi film ‘Sur Sapata‘ which is all set to release on 21st March 2019. The film stars popular Marathi actor Upendra Limaye along with a big team of youngsters who are good at this popular Indian game of Kabaddi. There are other artists like Pravin Tarde, youngster Hansraj Jagtap, comedy King Bharat Ganeshpure and above all Sanjay Jadhav, who is playing the main villain, for a change.
Interestingly, this sports-based film is releasing at a time when another popular game of Cricket is all set to begin the Indian Premier League. So, it remains to be seen, whether Kabaddi of ‘Sur Sapata‘ will score over the cricket popularity?

First look of ‘Aakrandan’ unveiled
Atrocities on women are on the rise in our country, who have become target of sexual abuse. Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Aakrandan‘ will not only highlight such crimes, but will also remind one and all about their social responsibility to stop such crimes. The first look of this film was unveiled recently at the hands of Mr. Ramdas Atrhavale, Minister of Social Justice, Government of India, in presence of dignitaries like Rajkumar santoshi, Al Haj Hajrat Zahid Hussain Chisti and others. The film will be released all over Maharashtra on 7th September 2018.
Produced by Govind Aher and presented by Vivek Pandit this film is written and directed by Shashikant Deshpande , who has also written the screenplay and dialogues along with Milind Inamdar. ‘Nagarsevak’ is coming to show the way of clean administration
Politics is one such game, where a common man gets trapped. When democracy doesn’t remain anymore the voice of people and turns in favour of the rulers, then it’s high time that someone among the common people comes forward to lead his area as the Municipal Corporator. The municipal elections are just over and we are watching the post election battle to prove majority.
Very rarely do we find in our films a rising politician turning a protagonist fighting for the common man. But, in the forthcoming Marathi film ‘Nagarsevak‘, there is one such hero, who is all set to capture the attention of all those, who are looking for leader who will work for public interest. The film will show the way of good administration.

What resolutions our Marathi stars have made for 2017 ?
It has become a traditional practice now to announce your resolutions for the new year. And, our Marathi Stars including Marathi film and TV stars are also part of it. It is a common question asked to most of them during the end of previous year, as to what is their resolution for the new year and each one of them have disclose their plans.
Kranti Redkar, whose two films ‘Karaar‘ and ‘Truckbhar Swapna‘ are releasing early 2017, feels that she should focus more on time management, besides paying more attention on doing something different, instead of getting typecast. With her characters in these two films, she can say so.
Upendra Limaye, who is known for his award winning films ‘Jogwa‘ and ‘Yellow‘ , is also of the opinion that an actor should attempt variety of roles through new wave films. His next film ‘Kshitij‘ is the best example of what he expects from a film. Upendra is playing a realistic character of a farmer in this film.
Popular actress Prarthana Behere frankly doesn’t believe in new year resolutions. Actually she prepares a list of 10 priorities and pays attention on achieving them one by one. But, this year she is going to be very particular about collecting all the information before signing a project. ‘Kshitij’ team celebrate Children’s day with underprivileged children
Now days, the Promotion of the film is very important . Today, Marathi film makers are using different methods to popularise their film, prior to its release. Some film makers use this platform of promotion, to create social awareness. The makers of Marathi film ‘Kshitij‘ who have already selected a subject, to spread the importance of education among the underprivileged children, celebrated the children’s day in a unique way.
The leader of the ‘Kshitij‘ team led by director Manoj Kadam visited a group of underprivileged children from Thane , who attend a school sponsored by a voluntary agency which is affiliated to Thane Municipal Corporation. The lead child artistes of this film Vaishnavi Tangade distributed notebooks to these children and also cut a cake to celebrate the occasion with these children. Other lead artistes of the film Upendra Limaye, Kanchan Jadhav, Sambhaji Tangade, cinematographer Sagar Mhadolkar were also present on this occasion.
