Amruta Subhash to play lead role in ‘Jaaran’
The poster of the film ‘Jaaran’ which was released recently, clearly indicates that it’s a horror film. Written and directed by Hrishikesh Gupte, ‘Jaaran’ presents versatile actress Amruta Subhash in the lead role. The sharp pins pierced on her face and blood oozing out, clearly defines her role in this film. Moreover, her eyes says it all.
Speaking about her role in this film, Amruta Subhash says, “I always believed that an actor should not be typecast. I always try to experiment. Compared to what roles I have done so far, this this role is different. I feel that this role was more challenging. However, with the help of the director and my co artistes this became possible. I would only say that this is a suspense filled film which will keep the audience engaged.”

Sai Tamhankar’s Lavani for the first time in Marathi cinema
Renowned Marathi actress Sai Tamhankar known for her variety of roles in films, will now be presenting a ‘Lavani’ through forthcoming Marathi film ‘Devmanus’. This Lavani with the title ‘Aalech me…’ has been rendered by singer Bela Shende with the support from Rohan Pradhan. Lyrics of this Lavani written by Tejas Deoskar with help from Rohan Gokhale on the music of Rohan-Rohan.
The choreography of this Lavani is done by Lavani expert Ashish Patil. For this Lavani Sai had done rehearsal for 33 hours. Speaking about her experience of this Lavani performance, Sai Tamhankar says, “ This was a great experience and for me it was something new. Without the guidance of Ashish this would not have been possible. I am grateful to Luv Films and Tejas for considering me for this performance.” ‘Devmanus’ is all set for release on 25th April and stars Mahesh Manjrekar, Renuka Shahane, Subodh Bhave and Siddharth Bodke in lead roles.
Grand trailer launch of Marathi film ‘Gulkand’
Everest Entertainment and WetCloud Productions along with director Sachin Goswami launched the grand trailer of their forthcoming Marathi film ‘Gulkand‘ in traditional style. The two families in the film Dhavale family (Sai Tamhankar & Sameer Chougule) and Mane family ( Isha Dey & Prasad Oak) took their entry for this event on scooter and Bullet respectively. And they danced on the music of the song ‘Chal Jaoo Date var’.
The story of the film presents Dhavale’s daughter Meenakshi and Mane’s son Onkaar bringing two families together for their marriage. But, it results in creation of new relationships. Anyway, the details of this complication will be revealed on 1st May 2025, when this film will be released in theatres. But, one thing is sure that it will be family comedy starring Sai Tamhankar, Sameer Chougule, Isha Dey, Prasad Oak, Vanita Kharat, Mandar Mandavkar, Jui Bhagwat, Tejas Raut, and Sharvil Aagte in lead roles.
Trailer Launch of Marathi Thriller ‘DevManus’
The trailer of the much-anticipated Marathi thriller ‘Devmanus’ was officially launched on April 8th at PVR Mall, Andheri. The film, set to release on April 25, 2025, marks Luv Films’ debut venture in Marathi cinema and has already stirred excitement among fans and film enthusiasts.
Present at the trailer launch were lead actors Mahesh Manjrekar, who plays the lead character Keshav and Renuka Shahane, portraying his wife, along with other artists. Both expressed their gratitude towards Luv Films for the opportunity to be part of such a gripping narrative. The cast also includes notable names like Siddharth Bodke, Subodh Bhave, and Abhijeet Khandkekar. The film is written by Neha Shitole and directed by Tejas Deokar, with Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg serving as producers.
The team collectively appreciated the casting director for assembling what was described as a “dream team.” Director Tejas Deuskar was praised for his vision and on-set camaraderie, with cast members sharing how enjoyable the shooting experience had been under his direction.

Sonu Nigam sings an emotion filled devotional song for ‘Devmanus’
Known for his mesmerizing emotion filled songs, singer Sonu Nigam recently recorded a devotional song titled ‘Pandurang’ for the forthcoming Marathi film ‘Devmanus’. Written by Prasad Madpuvar and with the music of Rohan-Rohan will be picturized on Mahesh Manjrekar during his pilgrimage.
Speaking about this ‘Pandurang’ song, Sonu Nigam said, “This is my first pilgrimage” song which makes me happy. This song is devoted to Lord Vitthal and has been written very well to understand the faith of devotees. This song will be distributed by Universal Music and will be available on all platforms. Directed by Tejas Deoskar, this film starring Mahesh Manjrekar, Renuka Shahane and Subodh Bhave will be released in theatres on 25th April 2025.
Actress Neha Shitole turns screen writer with ‘Devmanus’
Popular Marathi actress Neha Shitole has turned to screen writing with forthcoming Marathi film ‘Devmanus’. This film is being produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg and directed by Tejas Deoskar and stars renowned artistes like Mahesh Manjrekar, Renuka Shahane & Subodh Bhave in lead roles.
Neha has already written dialogues in Hindi for south Indian film ‘Sitaramam’ and now as a screenplay writer and dialogues writer, she has entered in Marathi films with ‘Devmanus’. Speaking about her new role as a screenplay and dialogue writer, Neha says, “I was always interested in writing and therefore getting an opportunity through this film, is a big achievement for me. This film presents a thriller with a touch of emotions.”

Hemant Dhome directed latest Marathi film ‘Fussclass Dabhade’ recently celebrated 50 days in cinema theatres, which is a good news for Marathi cinema.
