Hemant Dhome’s next ‘Fasclass Dabhade’ announced
After successfully directing ‘Jhimma 2′, Hemant Dhome’s next film ‘First Class Dabhade’ has been announced on the auspicious occasion of Deepavali by T Series, Colour Yellow Productions & Chalchitra Mandali. This film stars Siddharth Chandekar, Kshitee Jog and Amey Wagh in prominent roles along with Nivedita Saraf, Harish Dudhade, Rajan Bhise and Rajasi Bhave. The film is written and Directed by Hemant Dhome.
The makers of this film have released the new poster of their film on social media besides announcing the release date as 24th January 2025. The poster of this film shows the joint family celebrating the festival of Diwali together; thus clearly indicating that it will be an entertaining family film. Director Hemant Dhome reacting on this occasion , said, “This film tells the story of of brother and sister and their family. The film is based on my own personal experiences in life. It will remind everyone about their relationship with relatives and friends in a humorous way and make them feel that its their own story.”
Producer Anand L Rai is excited to make announcement of film ‘Fussclass Dabhade’ on the auspicious occasion of Deepavali and is confident that this film will revive all old memories of the viewers.
Renowned writer Veena Deo is no more
Renowned Marathi writer Veena Deo passed away on 29th October 2024. She was 76. Veena Deo was daughter of late G. N. Dandekar well known Marathi writer from Maharashtra and mother of popular Marathi actress Mrinal Kulkarni.
Dr. Veena Deo had worked as Head of Marathi language department at Shahu Mandir Mahavidyalaya in Pune. She did teaching and research here for almost 32 years. She was awarded PhD for handling various topics of Marathi literature, besides writing books on these subjects.
She also wrote the biography (‘Aashaq Mast Fakir’) of her father G. N. Dandekar, for which she received Lalit Sahitya Nirmiti award from State Government. She also received other awards including ‘Veena Morya Gosavi Lifetime award’ from Sairang Pratishthan. Through her own Mrunmayee Prakashan, she published rare literature of her father.
While paying tributes to her departed mother on social media, Mrinal Kulkarni said, “Actually there is no power to express anything right now. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who gave love to mom during her difficult times and rushed to her phone frequently. Me and Madhura because of you, I were able to accomplish a difficult job by keeping a smiling face. Mom loves flowers. Till the end she lived with a happy smile on her face just like the same flowers. Even though she is missed, she will always be with her as the big friends and the priceless artwork she wrote.”
Grand teaser of ‘Raanti’ released
Produced by Puneet Balan Studios and directed by Samit Kakkad have made a biggest action film in Marathi which is titled ‘Raanti’. Recently, the grand teaser of this film was released on social media, which shows lead actor Sharad Kelkar uttering the powerful dialogue ‘Apun Full on Danger…. Don’t take me light..’ while playing the strong character of Vishnu, while taking on the villain of this film.
According to the makers of this film, this film will be presenting not only action but also emotions and romance. This film’s story is by Hrishikesh Koli and music is by Ajit Parab. Background music by Amar Mohile, action scenes by Ezaaz Gulab, cinematography by Setu Sriram, editing by Ashish Mhatre are the other credits. The film is now all set for release on 22nd November 2024.
‘Dharmaveer 2′ premiered on Zee5 on 25th Oct
‘Dharmaveer 2′ Mukkam Post Thane’ directed by Praveen Tarde is now all set to release on Zee 5 OTT platform soon. Directed by Praveen Tarde, this film which is a biopic on Dharmaveer Anand Dighe covered part of his life in Part 1 of Dharmaveer film. Now, in Part 2 the film presents his close association with the present Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Eknath Shinde and their selfless service to the society together.
We saw Prasad Oak in the role of Dharmaveer Anand Dighe and he continues with his dashing performance in part 2 along with Kshitij Date who plays the role of Mr. Eknath Shinde. So, after attaining success with their ‘Dharmaveer Part 1′ now Zee5 have released ‘Dharmaveer 2′ on their OTT platform.
Speaking about his role in this film, lead actor Prasad Oak says, “It was a big challenge before me, to portray the character of Anand Dighe sahib and while performing that character, I enjoyed every moment.” Indeed, both Prasad and Kshitij have performed their respective roles, with total commitment.

The latest attraction for horror film lovers is Shubham Production Films presentation ‘Purnimecha Phera’ on Youtube channel. Produced by Payal Ganesh Kadam and directed by Ajay Sartape, this web series stars Nikhil Bane, Mandar Mandavkar,Siddhesh Nagvekar, Sanjay Vaidya, Prachi Keluskar, Sandeep Redkar, Deepa Malkar, Chandanraj Jamdade, Snehal Ayare and Darshana Patil.
Story by Shubham Vilas Kadam the screenplay is Sandesh Lokegaonkar, this (Pournimecha Phera) web series revolves around three friends, visit journey they encounter an incidence which is filled with secrets besides its relevance to full moon day. This web series has been shot in Mumbai and Guhagar in Konkan. Director Payal Kadam is confident that though this is a horror film it has a touch of comedy.
Shooting of Marathi film ‘Saturday Night’ begins

Sachin Dabhade’s ‘Journey’ to release on 29th November
Producer- director Sachin Dabhade’s Marathi film ‘Journey’ based on an unusual life journey, will be released on 29th November 2024. This life journey covers the struggle between the life and relations of a family. Recently, the poster of this film was unveiled on social media.
‘Journey’ stars three child artistes Shubham More, Mahi Butala & Nikhil Rathod along with popular artistes like Shantanu Moghe, Sharvari Jemenis, Anjali Ujavane, Yogesh Soman, Omkar Govardhan, Sunil Godbole, Milind Dastane Prashant Tapasvi in lead roles.

Huge Poster of ‘Banjara’ unveiled
Huge 20 feet long poster of Writer-director Sneh Ponkshe’s forthcoming Marathi film ‘Banjara’ was unveiled at Plaza Cinema, Dadar by renowned film maker Mahesh Manjrekar in presence of lead artistes of the film and media persons. For this poster launch ceremony, lead artistes Sharad Ponkshe, Bharat Jadhav , Sunil Barve and director Sneh Ponkshe arrived on motor bikes and the guest of honour for this occasion, Mahesh Manjrekar unveiled the grand poster.
The poster clearly shows three elderly friends enjoying the bike ride at the mountain range of Sikkim. And their facial expressions show how excited they are about this adventure trip. Producer and actor Sharad Ponkshe feels that this adventure trip tells the story in the life of each individual. “This road trip of three friends will change the perception of the film lovers. And I am sure this film will be appreciated by them,” said Shard Ponkshe while speaking on this occasion.

‘Ye Re Ye Re Paisa 3′ release planned on 3rd January 2025
On the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, makers of ‘Ye Re Ye Re Paisa 3′ have announced their film’s release on 3rd January 2025. Vaishali Made starts her own Music Academy
Renowned Playback singer of Marathi and Hindi music industry Ms. Vaishali Made has opened her own music academy in Mumbai. Recently, this music academy was inaugurated by Mr. Raj Thackeray in presence of other distinguished guests like Playback Singer Sadhana Sargam and Head of Mumbai University MNusic department-Mr. Kunal Ingale.
Speaking about her music academy, Vaishali Made said, “It was my long time wish to start my own music academy and today my wish has been fulfilled. I am thankful to Mr. Raj Thackeray, for having agreed to inaugurate this academy, as he himself is a great art lover. Through this academy we are planning to produce new committed singers. We have made arrangements for training the music lovers in vocal, instrumental, Karaoke and Gazal.”
