Rajesh Shringarpure to play a Sports Coach with a difference in ‘Gotya’

Having played the role of an Atheletics Coach in the film ‘Manya -The Wonder Boy’ and a kabbadi Coach in the film ‘Ekata-The Power’ , actor Rajesh Shringarpure will now be making a hat trick by playing the role of a Sports Coach once again in the forthcoming Marathi film ‘Gotya’, which is set for release on 6th July 2018. The release of this sports based film is well timed, as the Football fever in presently on, with the England Cricket series also on the way.
According to Rajesh, though he has performed the roles of a Coach in previous two films, this role is totally different. “Not many are aware that the game of Marbles, which is seen as a pastime sport in India among children, it is played all over the world. Biggest advantage of this game is that it not only the game of physical fitness but also improves concentration. Even I used to play marbles during my childhood. And therefore, the script of this film took me down memory lane.” he added.
Besides Rajesh, the title role of Gotya is played by Hrishikesh Wankhede. The other important artistes in this film are, Sayaji Shinde, Anand Ingale, Kamlakar Satpute, Surekha Kudchi, Hemangi Rao, Shard Sankhla, Shashank Darne & Pournima Ahire. Music by Avadhoot Gupte and camera by Bashalal Sayed are other credits.
Music of ’31 Divas’ launched

The title of the film ’31 Divas’ has already raised a lot of curiosity among Marathi film lovers. And now, with launch of this film’s music of this film composed by Chinar Mahesh has also confirmed that it will be musical film. The makers of this film B.S. Babu and director Ashsih Bhelkar decided to release only three out of four songs from this film, as according to them the fourth song is at a turning point of the film’s story and hence they want the audience to watch it only while watching this film. This is also one way to keep the audience guessing about the theme of this film.

Though 31 Divas is the debut of director Ashish Bhelkar, he has had the experience of working as assistant director to reputed film makers like Madhur Bhandarkar, Prabhudeva & Remo D’souza. And therefore, there are big expectations from him. ’31 Divas’ stars popular TV stars Shashank ketkar and Mayuri Deshmukh together for the first time along with Reena Agarwal, Vivek Lagu, Suhita Thatte, Asha Shelar, Arun Bhadsavle & Nitin Jadhav. The film will be released all over Maharashtra on 20th July 2018.
Swanand Kirkire finds ‘pride of place’ on the poster of film ‘Chumbak’

Well Known lyricist of Marathi and Hindi films, Swanand Kirkire has found his place on the first poster of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Chumbak’ presented by popular Bollywood personality Akshay Kumar. Surprisingly, Swanand is playing the lead role in this film and this is also his debut in acting. Swanand plays the character of Prasanna who suffers from Dyslexia and lives in a small village in Solapur. In the recently held New York Film Festival of Indian films, Swanand Kirkire had received nomination in best actor’s category, which itself is a big achievement for him.
About his selection in this film, director Sandeep Modi says that the name of Swanand Kirkire was suggested to him by the writer of this film Saurabh Bhave and producer Naren Kumar, who felt that Swanand’s face displays that innocence of a child. Speaking about his role, Swanand says, “When this team approached me, I thought it must be for the purpose of music, but when they told me their intention, I was shocked. But, after listening to the script and respecting their confidence in my selection, I decided to do this film.” Alongwith Swanand Kirkire another actor playing important role is Sangram Desai from Kolhapur. ‘Chumbak’ will release all over Maharashtra on 27th July 2018.
New Marathi film ‘Sorry’ set for release on 6th July

When one has to be apologetic about an act which hurts someone, the most commonly used word in all languages besides English is ‘Sorry‘. Now, a Marathi film with this title is all set for release on 6th July 2018. Produced and directed by Yogesh Gosavi the film presents the story of Saurabh – a young playwright and the dramatic happenings taking place in his life. The ‘Sorry’ film has been shot in seven different states at 45 locations, which include some historical places of India.
Speaking about his film’s subject Yogesh Gosavi says, “This film presents one such youngster who is workaholic and represents today’s young generation. Though the two leading artistes are newcomers, they have performed extremely well.” The film stars Saurabh Chirmulla, Sulakshana Roy, Samruddhi Pache, Pooja Meshram, Mahi Kapoor, Chandrakant Bamne & Dr.Sanjeevkumar Patil . Music by Shrirang Dhavle and cinematography by Harshad Mujumdar are the other credits.

लेखक वसंत सबनीस यांनी लिहीलेले स्वतंत्र सामाजिक विनोदी नाटक पुन्हा एकदा रंगमंचावर नव्या रुपात प्रेक्षकांना पहायला मिळणार आहे. तब्बल ३२ वर्षानंतर “मामला चोरीचा” हे नाटक पुन्हा एकदा नव्या रुपात रंगभूमीवर येत आहे. श्री साई प्रोडक्शन व स्पंदन निर्मीत केलेल्या या नाटकाचे दिग्दर्शन मंगलदास माने यांनी केले आहे. येत्या रविवारी, दिनांक 24 जून रोजी सातारा रोडवरील आण्णाभाऊ साठे नाट्यगृहात हा प्रयोग रंगणार आहे.
“मामला चोरीचा” या नाटकाचा पहिला प्रयोग दिनांक ६ मे १९८५ रोजी बालगंधर्व नाट्यमंदिर, पुणे येथे झाला होता. दामू केंकरे दिग्दर्शित या नाटकामध्ये शरद तळवळकर, आश्विनी देसाई यांनी भुमिका साकारल्या होत्या. तर यावेळी आदर्श गायकवाड, सागर पवार, संजय देवळे, केतकी लांडे, ऐश्वर्या कुलकर्णी, संजय चव्हाण आणि विद्या भागवत हे कलाकार असणार आहेत.
दिग्दर्शक मंगलदास माने म्हणाले, “पिढ्यानपिढ्या बदलल्या तरी कुटुंबातील आई ही आईच असते. आजच्या पिढीमध्ये आईची भूमिका बदलत चालली आहे. आईने आपल्या मुलांना किती सवलत द्यावी की धाकात ठेवावे हा विचार समाज करीत आहे.”
Savvy Woman Empowerment award for Sai Tamhankar

The prestigious Savvy Woman Empowerment Award, which is usually given to Page- 3 and Bollywood celebrities has been conferred on Marathi’s popular actress Sai Tamhankar for this year. And, this is a big news for Marathi film industry. Sai received the ‘Outstanding Contribution in Films‘ award in this award function. Sai is the first actress from Marathi film industry to receive this honour. It may be recalled that during her career in this film industry for about ten years, Sai has performed in 50 films and has also won many awards.
Offer her reaction on this award Sai says, “I am very happy and consider myself privileged. I am an independent woman and take all the decisions on my own.I am really thankful to Savvy for selecting me for this award. Such awards only boost my morale and give me energy to perform still better. This is just a beginning . Now, I will perform better and better to make my family and fans feel proud of me.”
Now, Sai Tamhankar is all set to entertain the audience with her upcoming Bollywood movie ‘LOVE SONIA‘. Sai has already left for the screening of this film at the Indian Film Festival in London.
After ‘Ringan’ Makarand Mane gets ready with his next film ‘Youngraad’

National Award Winning Director, Makrand Mane, known for presenting an issue based film ‘Ringan‘ is now coming up with yet another film ‘Youngraad‘ on a different subject. The trailer of this film was released on Monday afternoon.
Produced jointly by Vitthal Patil (Vitthal Patil Producation), Gautam Gupta, Gaurav Gupta (Future Works Media Ltd.), and Madhu Mentena ( Phantom Films ), ‘Youngraad‘ stars four young actors in the lead, Chaitanya Deore, Saurabh Padvi, Shiv Wagh & Jeevan Karalkar. The film also features renowned actors like Sharad Kelkar, Savita Prabbhune, Shireen Patil, Monika Chaudhari, Shashank Shende, Vitthal Patil and Shantanu Gangane.
‘Youngraad‘ is actually a slang used to define vagrant boys in Nashik, the Dakshin Kashi of India. The story of this film which revolves around four friends, has been penned by Makarand himself , who is also the screenplay writer along with Shashank Shende and Aziz Madari. Young Hriday Gattani and Gandhaar Arethe music composers for this film, with lyrics penned by Kshitij Patwardhan, Datta Patil and Maghlub Poonawala. The four songs in this film have been rendered by Shankar Mahadevan , Divya Kumar, Shasha Tirupati and Hriday Gattani. The film will hit the big screen on 6th July 2018.
