Musical programme to pay tributes to late Datta Davjekar
The current year is being celebrated as the 100th Birth Anniversary of Music legend Late Datta Davjekar . Popularly Known as ‘DD’ Mr. Davjekar had worked as assistant with popular music directors of yesteryears like C.Ramchandra, ‘Chitragupt‘ and ‘Roshan‘, before turning independent Music director. He had also worked as music arranger.
This being his 100th birth anniversary, a special programme suitably titled ‘Tumhe Yaad Karte Karte‘ has been organized on 11th November 2017 at 8:00 am in Shivaji Natya Mandir by his well wishers Prof. Krishnakumar Gavand of Swarmugdha Arts, Chandrashekhar Pusalkar, Shrikant Kulkarni & Aditya Kher of Dadasaheb Pratishthan.
This programme will be anchored by Ajay madan and will present well Known singers like Ravindra Sathe, Vinayak Joshi, Dr.Mrudula Dadhe & Datta Davjekar‘s daughter Dr.Aparna Mayekar. A book in his memory will also be released on this occasion. Well Known music director duo Anand Milind will be present as chief guests on this occasion.
Resourceful Marathi actor Vijay Chavan is still active with films
For the past 32 years he has been active with Marathi films. But, Vijay Chavan as an actor shot into fame with his popular hit Marathi play ‘Moruchi Mavshi’, which has presented more than 3000 shows. In this play Mr. Chavan had to present himself in the role of a female which was very much appreciated by the drama lovers. Prior to that he had made his debut on stage through the play ‘Tur Tur’. From ‘Tur Tur’ to ‘Shrimant Damodarpant‘ he portrayed variety of roles .
When Vijay Chavan entered Marathi films, there were already two best comedians Ashok Saraf and Laxmikant Berde, who were top priority of film makers for their comedy films. But, Vijay Chavan also invited the attention of film lovers through various character roles he found to his share. Besides big screen, he also found good roles on small screen. No wonder, he still has a great fan following.
Besides performing comedy, he also had an opportunity to play serious type of roles in films like ‘Gol Gol Dabyatla‘, ‘One Room Kitchen‘ & recently released film ‘Halaal‘ . It is indeed admirable that he is still performing in films with the same enthusiasm , which he possessed 30 years ago. And, the best example is his forthcoming Marathi film ‘Hutansh’ , in which he plays a very different kind of comedy, which according to him is something special for him. ‘Hampi’ Trailer and Music launched in Mumbai
After attaining popularity for the Poster and teaser, the makers of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Hampi‘ recently launched the trailer and music of their film in Mumbai. The theme of this film is based on one such beautiful place called Hampi, which is also the title of this film, for the only reason that this is not only the place but Known for its identity. In this film the lead character of the film Isha in depressed mood lands at this beautiful place on a trip and how she finds a change in herself , is what the film is all about.
The songs of ‘Hampi‘ film are penned by Vaibhav Joshi and Omkar Kulkarni and music is provided by Narendra Bhide & Aditya Bedekar. Story screenplay and dialogue writer Aditi Moghe and director Prakash Kunte who combined well for the film ‘Coffee Aani Barach Kahi‘ two years ago, will be seen together in their respective roles in this film too. So, there are high expectations from ‘Hampi‘, which is all set to release on 17th November 2017. The film stars Sonalee Kulkarni, Priyadarshan Jadhav, Prajakta Mali, Lalit Prabhakar and Chhaya Kadam in lead roles. Cinematography by Amlendu Choudhari and background music by Aditya Bedekar and choreography by Phulwa Khamkar are the other credits.

This film presented by well Known South distributor Vijay babu’s Shree ‘Vijay Sai Productions‘ is all set to release on 10th November 2017. Recently, the first poster of ‘Rangeela Rayabaa- Attitude is Everything‘ film was released on social media and has become viral. Now, it remains to be seen whether Kedar Shinde will create his magic again?
The film’s poster shows two fresh faces in the form of newcomers Alhad Andore and Radhika Muthukumar and with this film this production company is entering Marathi film industry. The story of this film is by Trinadha Rao and screenplay by Chinmay Kulkarni, who has also written the dialogues of this film along with Chetan Dange. Cinematography by Suresh Deshmane and music by Pankaj Padghan and Nishad are other credits. Suresh Shinde is the executive producer of this film.
‘Welcome Home’ will be Sumitra Bhave & Sunil Sukthankar’s next film
Having won 7 National awards, renowned director duo Sumitra Bhave & Sunil Sukhtankar recently launched their next Marathi film ‘Welcome Home’ in presence of the artistes and special guest on the occasion film maker Umesh Kulkarni, who gave the muhurat clap. Incidentally, their last film ‘Kaasav’ also won national award. ‘Welcome Home’ stars reputed artistes like Mrunal Kulkarni, Sumit Raghavan, Spruha Joshi, Dr. Mohan Agashe, Uttara bavkar, Deepa Shreeram, Seva Chouhan, Siddharth Menon, Sarang Sathye, Ashwini Giri, Abhay Kulkarni and child star Pranjali Kamble in lead roles.
This multi starrer film will be the 15th film of producers Shree Ganesh Marketing & Films, which has in the past presented films like ‘Katyar Kaljaat Ghusali’, ‘Saavar Re’ & ‘Tya Ratri Paus Hota’. Vinay Bele, Abhishek Sunil Phadtare, Dilipkumar Bhagat, Arpan Bhukanwala are the producers of this film. In short, there will be lot to expect from this film, as it will a woman oriented film focusing on the issue, as to which is the real home of a woman, whether it is of her parents, her husband’s or her own ?
Zee Talkies to present a new Comedy show ‘Na.Sa.Te. Udyog’
Known for their encouragement to comedy by instituting comedy awards for Marathi films, Zee Talkies channel is now all set to present a new comedy show on small screen , suitably titled ‘Na.Sa.Te. Udyog’, which will go on the air from tomorrow (Sunday 29th October 2017 ) at 9 pm. This comedy series can be seen every Sunday at this prime time. Making this announcement, Zee Talkies Business head Mr. Bavesh Janavlekar said, “Though Zee Talkies channel is known for presenting Marathi films, this new programme is being presented, keeping in mind the interest of the viewers for comedy programmes. He also expressed confidence that this programme will entertain the home viewers.”
Through this show Vikas Kadam will be seen in the role of director on television. He has already established himself as an actor and is also active in Bollywood. Highlight of this programme is that well Known actor Sanjay Narvekar will be seen on small screen through this programme in the lead role. Along with him there will be many prominent stage and film artistes well versed with comedy like Nilesh Divekar, Namrata Awate, Pankaj Pancharia & Janardan Lavangare. Sandeep Kulkarni to make his comeback with ‘Krutant’
Talented Marathi actor Sandeep Kulkarni whose films ‘Shwaas‘ and ‘Dombivali Fast‘ won National awards and who himself has won State and popular awards in the past, will be making his comeback to Marathi films almost after four years, with his forthcoming film ‘Krutant‘, which is produced by Mihir Shah and directed by Datta Mohan Bhandare. So, it’s a good news for his admirers, who had appreciated his performance in many films like ‘Shwaas‘, ‘Dombivali Fast‘, ‘Made In China‘,’Bedhund‘, ‘Gaiir‘, ‘Ajinkya‘ and many other Hindi films where he played variety of roles.
The makers of ‘Krutant‘ film were in search of a actor, to play this strong character and they could only think of Sandeep Kulkarni. Sandeep too liked this role and immediately agreed to do this film. In this film Sandeep plays the character of a nature lover, who likes to remain in the company of mother nature. Sandeep has a challenging role to play in this film. The film certainly has something interesting to offer, but both director and actor do not want to reveal the story, which very much belongs to today’s lifestyle of people. In this film besides Sandeep, the other important artistes of the film are, Suyog Gorhe, Vidya Karanjikar, Sayali Patil & Vaishnavi Patvardhan. दुर्गाच्या येण्याने सरस्वती मालिकेमध्ये सुरु होणार नवा अध्याय
सरस्वतीने देविकाला निव्वळ तिच्या मोठ्या मालकांसाठी स्वीकारले, मोठ्या मनाने तिला आपलसं केलं, भैरवकरांच्या वाड्यामध्ये जागा दिली. राघव आणि देविकाचे लग्न होण्यामागे विद्युलचाच हात होता हे सरस्वतीला कळून सद्धा तिने संयम राखला. विद्युलच्या विरोधात तिने भैरवला काहीच सांगितले नाही. याच दरम्यान भैरवकरांचा वाडा आणि संपत्ती सरस्वतीच्या नावावर आहे हे विद्युलला कळाले. संपत्ती मिळविण्यासाठी रचलेले कारस्थान सरस्वतीने जर राघवला सांगितले तर राघव आपल्याला या वाड्यामधून काढून टाकेल या भीतीने विद्युलने भुजंगच्या मदतीने सरस्वतीला मारण्याचे षड्यंत्र रचले.
विद्युलने सरस्वतीचा काटा काढून टाकला पण तिला मारल्यानंतर हे कळाले कि, जोपर्यंत सरस्वतीचं प्रेत मिळत नाही तो पर्यंत वाडा दुसऱ्या कुणाच्याही नावावर होऊ शकत नाही आणि जर हे प्रेत मिळाले नाही तर त्यांना सात वर्ष थांबाव लागेल यामुळे विद्युलसमोर एक नवीन समस्या उभी राहली.

Mukta Barve & Priya Bapat together in the film ‘Aamhi Doghi’
Actress and costume designer Pratima Joshi, who has taken the lessons of direction from Chandrakant Kulkarni will be making her debut as a director through forthcoming Marathi film ‘Aamhi Doghi‘, which will be released on 16th February next year. But, the highlight of this film is coming together of two renowned actresses Mukta Barve and Priya Bapat for the first time. And, it will be interesting to see them together displaying their acting potential.
The film’s story presents different relationships in the lives of young girls and has touched upon the emotional relationship between Mother- daughter, Father-daughter and two friends. It also explains how the viewpoints of others are important instead of our own viewpoint. The makers of ‘Aamhi Doghi‘ film are confident that this emotion filled story of the film would touch the hearts of Marathi film lovers. ‘Sairat’ fame Rinku Rajguru to return with new Marathi film
After release of ‘Sairat‘ the girl who invited all the attention was Rinku Rajguru, who played the most important lead role of Archie in this film. After that she taken a break. But now, Rinku is returning back with her new untitled Marathi film, in which she has an important role to play. This film is to be directed by National award winning film ‘Ringan‘s director Makarand Mane. Incidentally, both Makarand and Rinku won National award at the same time and therefore their coming together has special significance. Moreover, both of them belong to the same place Akluj.
This film was launched recently, on the auspicious occasion of Diwali, but the name of this film is yet to be announced. According to producers Sudhir Kolte and Vikas Hande, they very much liked the story of this film and agreed to produce it. Director Makarand Mane could not think of anyone else other than Rinku Rajguru for this important character in the film. And after herring the script Rinku Rajguru too immediately agreed to perform this role.
