Song on attack on Doctors picturised on Marathi celebrities
We often see entertaining musical songs presented by some film makers from time to time. But, Marathi film maker Praveen Raja karale has presented a timely song on the attacks on Doctors, reminding all about the challenges and hard work put in by doctors to treat and save the lives of the patients. Highlight of this song is the involvement of the Marathi celebrities like Vikram Gokhale, Aniket Vishwasrao and Priyanka Yadav, who have played the roles of doctors and on whom the song has been picturised.
To give a realistic look to this song, a scene showing the protest march by the doctors, has been picturised during rally by the doctors after the recent attack on them by the aggrieved relatives of patient. Popular singers like Suresh Wadkar, Vaishali Samant, Dr.Utkarsh Shinde have rendered their voices for this song titled ‘Chuklach Jara Doctor Houn…’. Music of this song has been provided by Rohan Patel, lyrics of which have been penned by some doctors.
‘Lal Batti’ launched with muhurat
Last year we saw a film ‘Police Line‘ directed by Raju Parsekar which presented the living conditions and emotions of police personnel. Now, director Girish Mohite will be offering a subject on police personnel to show their hidden mind. Suitably titled ‘Lal Batti‘ this film is produced by Santosh Sonavdekar and presented by Sai Cinema.
Recently, ‘Lal Batti‘ film was launched with muhurat , in presence of State Parent Minister Eknath Shinde and Thane Police Commissioner Paramveer Singh. On this occasion besides producer, director and special invitees the artistes of the film namely, Mangesh Desai, Anil Gavas were also present. The film also stars Bhargavi Chirmule, Radha Kulkarni, Jayendra More, Prashant Mohite, Pradeep Ghule, Shailesh Dhanavade, Tejas S, and Suresh Choudhari.
Music of this film will be composed by Avinash Vishwajeet , while cinematography will be by Krushna Soren. The shooting of ‘Lal Batti‘ film will begin soon.
Writer Ashish Ningurkar plays a Journalist in his debut film ‘Rairand’
For the past few years Ashish Ningurkar has been silently working as a freelance journalist in Marathi film industry. He did try his luck as a lyricist in few films; but he found better scope in Friday released Marathi film ‘Rairand‘, which is based on the social issue about nomadic tribes and child labourers. The film has already received appreciation and awards from few International film festivals, where it was shown.
Besides writing two songs in this film, Ashish Ningurkar has also written the script of ‘Rairand‘ film, besides playing an important role of Journalist in this film. The film also stars, Anant Jog, Ranjit Kamble, Shyamkumar Shrivastav, Karan Kadam, Anand Wagh, Ajit Pawar, Pravin Bhabal, Sunil Jain, Suresh Dabhade, Rekha Nirmal, Gorakh Pathare, Zakir Khan, Nana Shinde, Santosh Choradia & Anurag Ningurkar. Music by Vikas Joshi and Cinematography by Rajesh Wavhal are the other credits. The film is produced by Suresh Shetty and directed by Ramesh Popat Nanaware.
Ashish Ningurkar is very happy that the film’s subject has been appreciated at different film festivals, wherever it was shown and is hopeful that people from Maharashtra would also respond positively to their sincere effort by watching this film in theatres. MarathiMovieWorld film critic visited Moviestar Goregaon multiplex to watch the 12 noon show on the first day. As per the advertisement in newspaper, the film’s show was also to be held at 12 noon at this theatre, but the booking clerk at the ticket window clearly stated that no such Marathi film was booked at their theatre. Hope the makers/distributors of ‘Rairand‘ would look into this matter.
‘Khopa’ to present strong bonding among human relationship
We often notice reflection of happenings in our society on big screen. At the same time, we notice reflection of human relationship in the film’s content. Till now, many film makers have tried to present their point of view on this subject. The forthcoming Marathi film ‘Khopa’ also presents one such theme based on human relationship, which will be revealed on screen on 26th May 2017.
‘Khopa’ is produced by Jalinder Bhujbal under the banner of Mahaganapati Films and is directed by Dr.Sudhir Nikam, who is making his debut as a director, after getting experience as a scriptwriter . The story of this film revolves around a small boy and his relationship with people around him. The film stars Sankarshan Karhade and Aishwarya Tupe in lead role along with Yatin karyekar, Rooplaxmi Chougule, Bharat Ganeshpure, Asha Tare, Ketan pawar and Vikram Gokhale. Other artistes in supporting cast are, Siddheshwar Zadbuke, Vinod Khedekar, Jalinder Bhujbal, Prashant Tapasvi, Deepa Gaikwad, Rishikesh Bam and others. Sameer Bhaskar is the cinematographer of the film while music is by A.V. Prafulchandra.
Vikram Gokhale-Suhasini Mulay starrer film ‘Dev Devharyat Nahi’ to release soon
Vikram Gokhale and Suhasini Mulay are both renowned Marathi artistes, who also established themselves as versatile artistes in Hindi film industry. Now, after a long time this matchless pair will be working together in forthcoming Marathi film ‘Dev Devharyat Nahi‘ , which is all set to release on 2nd June 2017. Produced by Tony Dsouza, Amul Vikas Menon and Nitin Upadhyay, this film promises a unique story, which is directed by Pravin Birje.
Presented by Oddball Motion Pictures, ‘Dev Devharyat Nahi‘ is based on a true story and it remains to be seen on which incidence this film presents its script. Apart from Vikram Gokhale and Suhasini Mulay, actress Reena Agarwal also plays lead role in ‘Dev Devharyat Nahi‘ film. Shooting of this film is presently going on.
Milind Shinde to direct a sports based film on Rural backdrop
Known for his memorable performances on stage, television and Marathi films, Milind Shinde has established himself as a versatile actor. Now, he will directing an untitled Marathi film on the subject of sports, with rural backdrop. Produced by Radhe Mohan Pictures and scripted by Kiran Berad, the shooting of this film is presently going on at Shirdi. Prior to this, Milind Shinde has tried his hands as a director for Two Marathi films, namely ‘Nach Tujha Lagin Haai‘ and ‘Bhidu‘. But, both the films have not been released so far. ‘Bhidu‘ will be released soon, while ‘Nach Tujha Lagin Haai‘ is battling its fight with censor Board.
Milind’s new film is having ‘Out of the Box’ subject, presenting the story of a young active sportsman who has been denied Shiv Chhatrapati award. He goes back to his village, only to pick up three children involved in thefts and trains them in sports to enable them to reach national level. The film stars Bhushan Pradhan, Sanskruti Balgude, Uday Tikekar, Abhijit Chavan, Nayan Jadhav and Prakash Dhotre in lead roles. Mangesh Dhakde is the music director of this film, while the camera is handled by Pratap Nair.
Paresh Mokashi’s next film ‘Chi Va Chi Sau Ka’ to release on 19th May
After offering National award winning film ‘Elizabeth Ekadashi’, renowned director Paresh Mokashi is back with the support of Zee Studios to offer his next Marathi film ‘Chi Va Chi Sau Ka’, which is all set to release on 19th May 2017. Recently, trailer of this film was launched in presence of artistes and makers of this film along with singers and lyricist Swanand Kirkire.
Written by Paresh Mokashi and Madhugandha Kulkarni , the story of this film revolves around a young couple Satyaprakash and Savitri played by Lalit Prabhakar and Mrunmayee Godbole respectively. While Satyaprakash is an electrical engineer, Savitri is a Veterinary doctor. Both are busy with their profession and firm on their decisions. And, it’s an arrange marriage for them. The post marriage happenings in their life have been presented in humorous way in this film. Screenplay writers Ganesh-Ambar return with ‘Andya Cha Fanda’
After offering successful films like ‘Yellow‘ & ‘Balak Palak‘, screenplay and dialogue writer pair of Ambar Hadap and Ganesh Pandit are now returning together with their new film ‘Andya Cha Fanda‘, which will be released all over Maharashtra on 30th June 2017. This time, the hit pair has been joined by another partner in the form of Shripad Joshi.
Speaking about ‘Andya Cha Fanda‘ film, both Ambar Hadap and Ganesh Pandit said that they were always in search of new subjects, which would inspire them to write suitable screenplay and dialogues; and this film’s story offered them what they were looking for.

‘Karaar’ finds month of May suitable for its release
The ongoing IPL Cricket has forced many Marathi film makers to postpone their film’s releases. And, one of them is director Manoj Kotian, who has found the month of May as most suitable time for the release of his film ‘Karaar‘. It may be recalled that music of this film was released end of last year, when it was announced that ‘Karaar‘ film would be released early 2017. But, for some reason or the other, the film’s release was postponed.
Now, producers Bipin Shah and Gautam Munot have announced the release of ‘Karaar‘ film as 26th May, 2017, which is the summer vacation time. The film stars Subodh Bhave, Urmila Kanitkar Kothare and Kranti Redkar in lead roles. The film’s music is by Vijay Gavande and Paresh Shah, with lyrics by Guru Thakur and Mangesh Kangane. Reputed singers like Avadhoot Gupte, Shreya Ghoshal, Bela Shende, Sonu Kakkar, Jasraj Joshi, Neha Rajpal and Vaishali Samant have rendered their voices for the songs in ‘Karaar‘ film.
‘Oli Ki Suki’ to release on 26th May
Whenever the poster of a film is released, it indicates that the film would be released within a month or two. Today, the best way to release the poster is with the help of social networking sites. Recently, Producer Vaibhav Uttamrao Joshi released the poster of his film ‘Oli Ki Suki’ in the same manner on social media.
Film ‘Oli Ki Suki’ has already received nomination at the Maharashtra State Film Festival in two categories.Directed by Anand Gokhale , the film is set to release on 26th May 2017.
