‘Photocopy’ will be available to audience on 16th Sept.
We are all aware that popular singer Neha Rajpal has turned producer with the making of a Marathi film ‘Photocopy‘. Her film is now complete and is all set to release on 16th September 2016. So, her ‘Photocopy‘ will be made available to Marathi film audience next month. Parna Pethe, whom we saw in the lead role through the film ‘Rama Madhav‘ is playing the lead double role in this film, along with new comer Chetan Chitnis. Along with them, there are important characters played by Vandana Gupte and Anshuman Joshi.
Viacom International have produced ‘Photocopy‘ film along with Neha Rajpal. Omkar Mangesh Dutt and Dr. Akash Rajpal have written the story of this film, which is directed by Vijay Maurya. According to the makers, this will be a complete entertaining film. Even otherwise, films with double roles played by lead characters have always been appreciated by Marathi film lovers. This film will also decide the future prospects of Parna Pethe, as a film actress.
Milind Kavde shot ‘1234’ in 26 days with 26 artistes
Known for his films like ‘Yedyanchi Jatra‘,’4 Idiots‘,’Just Gammat‘ and ‘Shinma‘, director Milind Kavde will be back, this time with a new Marathi film titled ‘1234‘. Marathi Movie World spoke to Milind Kavde, recently, when he spoke, about his film, which is for the first time shot in India, with Erich Tilt camera using shift lens. Tilt–shift “encompasses two different types of movements: rotation of the lens plane relative to the image plane, called tilt, and movement of the lens parallel to the image plane, called shift. In short, it was very difficult to shoot the entire film with this process, but Milind could do it with the help of his expert cameraman Sentanio Terezio and excellent cooperation received from all artistes. “Through ‘1234‘ I am offering humor, through this action packed thriller and I am sure, our Marathi audience would appreciate this new experiment. It was difficult to shoot in Hyderabad in 45 degree temperature, which sometimes touched 48 degrees; but with 26 recognised artistes together, I could finish the shoot in 26 days, including one song picturisation,” said Milind, while speaking about his film.
As a film maker, Milind has always experimented new things through all his 4 films in the past, attempting new subjects. Now, his film ‘1234‘ which is a multi starrer, is all set to release on coming Friday , i.e.5th August 2016.
Dr. Amol Kolhe’s new play ‘Bandh Mukta’ to hold its grand premiere
We have all heard about premiere shows of films, on the eve of their official release. But, had never heard about premiere show of a Marathi drama. But, Dr.Amol Kolhe‘s forthcoming Marathi drama ‘Bandh Mukta‘ will be an exception. Dr. Amol who is also the producer of this drama, along with Vilas Sawant and Sonali Ghanashyam Rao, has decided to hold the inaugural show, as the premiere show of this play on 12th August 2016 at Ravindra Natya Mandir, Mumbai. Many dignitaries from social, medical, political, business, literature are expected to attend this show.
The play deals with an unusual but timely subject of ‘Mercy Killing‘ and therefore, it has already generated more interest among drama enthusiasts. It may be recalled that In March 2011, the Supreme Court of India, passed a historic judgement permitting Passive Euthanasia in the country. But, even today, there is a debate on whether ‘Mercy Killing‘ be legalized in India. Dr. Amol Kolhe himself will play lead role ‘Bandh Mukta‘ play, along with Ketaki Thatte, Rajan Bane, Shantanu Moghe, Vivek Apte, Pandhari Medge & Latika Sawant. The play is written by Vivek Apte and directed by Dr. Anil Bandivadekar. The background music is provided by Rahul Ranade.
‘चौर्य’ चित्रपट ५ ऑगस्ट ऐवजी १९ ऑगस्टला होणार प्रदर्शित
गेल्या अनके दिवसांपासून चर्चेत असलेला ‘चौर्य‘ हा मराठी चित्रपट येत्या ५ ऑगस्टला संपूर्ण महाराष्ट्रात प्रदर्शित होणार होता. परंतु, अवघ्या महाराष्टात सुरु असलेल्या पावसामुळे पूरस्थिती निर्माण झाली आहे. अशावेळी चित्रपट प्रदर्शित करणे असंवेदनशील असल्यामुळे ‘चौर्य‘ या चित्रपटाच्या प्रदर्शनाची तारीख पुढे ढकलण्यात आली असून आता हा चित्रपट येत्या १९ ऑगस्टला संपूर्ण महाराष्ट्रात प्रदर्शित होणार आहे.
‘चौर्य‘ चित्रपटात अभिनेते किशोर कदम, मिलिंद शिंदे, गणेश यादव, प्रदीप वेलणकर, दिग्विजय रोहिदास, दिनेश लता शेट्टी, जयेश संघवी, तीर्था मुरबाडकर आणि आरजे श्रुती आदीं कलाकारांच्या या चित्रपटात महत्त्वाच्या भूमिका आहेत.
‘1234’ all set to release on this Friday
Now days, we find unique titles to Marathi films. ‘702 Dixits‘,’Bho Bho‘,’Half Ticket‘, ‘& Jara Hatke‘ are the recent examples. Now, Producers Kalpesh Patel, Shailesh Pawar and director Milind Kavde are all set to release their film with unique title ‘1234‘. And, the makers seem to be confident about the success of their film, which is all set to release on 5th August 2016.
Actually, the title of this film does not give any clue, what the film is going to offer. But, according to the director, the USP of ‘1234‘ film is that besides entertaining the audiences, the film also sets out to drive home a profound message. The director has also written the story and screenplay of this film and offers a big team of artistes comprising of Bhushan Pradhan, Priya Marathe, Sanjay Narvekar, Vijay Patkar, Vijay Kadam, Ganesh Yadav, Yatin Karyekar, Jaywant Wadkar, Pradeep Patwardhan, Teja Deokar, Arun Kadam, Mrinalini Jamble, Vishakha Subedhar, Aniket Kelkar, Anshuman Vichare, Jagannath Nivangune, Kamlesh Sawant, Guru Anand and Pranav Raorane in the key roles.
Choreography for the film has been done by Bhanu of South. Sentanio Terezio has cranked the camera, while Amitraj has composed the music of this film.
‘Amar Photo Studio’ will be Subak’s next presentation
Actor Sunil Barve, who turned a Drama producer 4 years ago, through his ‘Subak’ productions, presented many revived Marathi plays like ‘Suryachi Pilley’,’Lahanpan Dega Deva’, ‘Hamidabaichi Kothi’, ‘Aandhala Daltay’ and ‘Jhopi Gelela Jagaa Jhala’ under the project called ‘Herbarium’. Recently, he announced his next presentation ‘Amar Photo Studio’, which will be a fresh subject.
Highlight of this presentation is that, ‘Dil Dosti Duniyadari’ fame artistes Amey Wagh, Sakhi Gokhale, Suvrat Joshi, Pooja Thombre along with Siddhesh Purkar will be the lead artistes of this play. Written by Manaswini Lata Ravindra, this play is directed by Nipun Dharmadhikari. Actually, Amey, Suvrat and Sakhi had approached Sunil Barve with the subject of this drama and Sunil could not say ‘No’ to their offer, as he was impressed by this new subject. The rehearsals of this play are presently in progress and the inaugural show will be announced soon.
‘Chaurya’ receives appreciation from Government prior to its release
Some films remain in news prior to their release, for offering something different to the audience. Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Chaurya‘ will be released in ‘Accessibility Format’, which is happening for the first time in India. This format of film, also enables the Blind and deaf people to enjoy the film. The makers of this film have already received an appreciation letter from Department of Empowerment of persons with Disabilities ( DEPwD) , Government of India.
‘Chaurya‘ which will be released on 5th August 2016, is produced by Nilesh Navalakha, Vivek Kajaria & Aswini Patil, is directed by Sameer Patil, who has himself written the story of this film. Some of the main characters in the film have used the masks of some popular Bollywood artistes; but that was the need of the script, according to the makers of this film. They have also thanked Aashay Sahasrabuddhe , for his technical assistance, to present this film in accessibility format.

“Characters in ‘Lost and Found’ are part of our society” – Ruturaj Dhalgade
In our Marathi film industry more and more talented directors are coming forward to present their stories, which are inspired from real life happenings. Ruturaj Dhalgade is one of them. After ‘Slambook’, this time he will be offering his new subject on importance of communication in loneliness. We are all aware how loneliness has affected the lives of people from different age groups and majority of them are older people, who have lost their partners or youngsters who struggle to overcome their breakups with their partners.
Ruturak Dhalgade has taken up this subject, to encourage all those victims of loneliness, to do something for the others, going through the same phase. With his background in Engineering, Ruturaj entered this area of filmmaking, because of his passion for cinema. MarathiMovieWorld met him during the press show of this film, when he was standing in one corner quietly, watching the reaction of media persons, during the break. “I was inspired to write the story of this film, as I had myself seen many such characters living a lonely life and always wanted someone to come and talk to them. These characters are all part of our society. In fact, the character of Maruti played by Mangesh Desai in this film, was very close to me and I had seen his depressed state of mind, after he lost all his family members in a tragedy. Through this film, I have tried to focus on the emotional side of each and every character and all the artistes have done a wonderful job.” he said.
Sunil Barve to announce the name of his next revived play
Popular Marathi actor Sunil Barve, who had turned a Marathi Drama producer, through his own production group Subak, had offered the revival of five old hit Marathi plays during the past four years. And this scheme was named as herbarium.
Till now, he revived plays like ‘Suryachi Pille‘,’Lahanpan Dega Deva‘, ‘Hamidabaichi Kothi‘, ‘Andhala Daltay‘ & ‘Jhopi Gelela Jaga Jhala‘. All the shows of these plays held at different venues had received an overwhelming response.
Now, Sunil is all set to announce the name of his next revived play on 27th July 2016 in Mumbai. Can anyone guess, the name of this old hit play ?
Saurabh Gokhale returns to big screen with ‘Page 4′
Popular television actor Saurabh Gokhale has also proved his ability through Marathi films like ‘Yodha‘,’Shinma‘, ‘Partu‘ and ‘Bho Bho‘ in the recent past. Now, he is returning to big screen through forthcoming Marathi film ‘Page 4‘, which is produced and directed by Jaydeep Yeole. The tagline to this film’s title ‘The Quest for reality begins‘ has also generated more curiosity about this film.
Actually, ‘Page 4‘ is a multi starrer film with many talented artiste from Marathi TV and film industry. But, Saurabh is playing the lead role, along with Nikhil Raut, Omkar Govardhan & Girish Pardeshi. The story of this film revolves around four friends played by these artistes. The film has tried to show how the lives of these four friends get affected, due to the happenings around and people with negative attitude around.
