Amma turns Aai for Chiranjivi Sarja’s dubbed Marathi film
South Superstar Chiranjivi Sarja’s film ‘Amma I love You’ became a hit film in the year 2018. This action thriller film directed byK .M. Chaitanya is now dubbed in Marathi with ‘Amma’ turning ‘Aai’ for this version. This Marathi dubbed film ‘Aai I Love You (आई आय लव्ह यू )’ will be released on Ultra Jhakaas OTT platform on 28th August 2023.
This film stars Chiranjivi Sarja, Sinthara, Nishvika Naidu, Prakash Belevadi and our popular Marathi actor Ravi Kale, who is already a popular in south films. This Marathi version of the original film is a tribute to Late actor Chiranjivi Sarja, who died at a young age due to heart failure three years ago. This is a family film based on the the emotion filled relationship between a mother and son .

Planet Marathi OTT platform have released the poster of forthcoming Marathi web film ‘Diary of Vinayak Pandit (डायरी ऑफ़ विनायक पंडित )’ , which will be released on their channel soon. Presented by Akshay Vilas Bardapurkar and produced by Aaditya Vikasrao Deshpukh,Vedant Vivek Muglikar this web film is directed by Mayur Shyam Karamblikar.
Poster of this film raises curiosity about the subject of this film, as the poster clearly shows Hanging rope used for death sentence.The film presents the life story of Vinayak Pandit an artiste. Director Mayur Karambikar feels that this film will take the audience into the olden days, while Akshay Bardapurkar of Planet Marathi feels that this is emotion filled family film which has presented very well.
‘Kirkol Navare’ all set to entertain Marathi Drama lovers
Popular Marathi artistes Anita Date, Sagar Deshmukh and Pushkaraj Chirputkar are all set to entertain the Marathi drama lovers through their new Marathi play ‘Kirkol Navare’ from 11th August 2023. This play produced by Anamika and Yuvanjani Natak Mandali and presented by Saisakshi is written and directed by Sagar Deshmukh.
With its tagline to offer non stop entertainment this play is expected to make the audience laugh and at the same time enlighten them through entertainment. All the three lead artistes are confident that the audience would enjoy watching this play. Music by Saurabh Bhalerao, lyrics by Jitendra Joshi, lighting by Vikrant Thakar and costumes up by Sonal Kharade are the other credits.
The inaugural shows will be staged at Gadkari Rangayatan Thane on 11th August @ 4.15 pm and at Savitribai Phule hall , Dombivali on 12th August @ 4.30 pm.
‘Baaplyok’ to introduce newcomer Payal Jadhav
Many successful filmmakers have always introduced new talents through their films. And, national award winning directors Nagraj Manjule and Makarand Mane are nowhere behind in this search for new artistes. In their forthcoming Marathi film ‘Baaplyok’ they are introducing a new face in the form of Payal Jadhav. So, with this film this newcomer will be making her screen debut obn 25th August, when the film will be released in theatres.
During her childhood, Payal’s family had to leave their village and move to Pune as they had to suffer water scarcity in their village. Payal’s father had to take up a job as a Peon in Saraswati Vidyamandir School, Pune, from where Payal also completed her school education. Later, she acquired Masters’ In Health Science degree from Pune University, followed by Masters’ in Bharat Natyam from Lalit Kala Kendra, Pune.
Speaking about her role in ‘Baaplyok’, Payal says that this film is very special for her, as it showed her a new path. She has thanked Makarand Sir and all those involved in producing this film for their support. Director Makarand Mane is also all praise for Payal, as according to him she has put in lot of hard work while presenting her character effectively.
Pushkar Jog’s new film ‘Baap Manus’ to release on 25th August
As a film maker Pushkar Jog has produced many Marathi films under his banner of Goosebumps entertainment. His new Marathi film ‘Baap Manus’ is now all set for release in theatres all over Maharashtra on 25th August 2023. ‘Baap Manus’ presents a beautiful emotion filled relationship between a father and his daughter. According to Pushkar who has described his film on social media, “This film is for every father in the world.. to glorify a fathers sacrifice for their children.”

Karan Johar is all praise for Kshiti Jog
After renowned Marathi actresses like Sulochana, Usha Kiran, Lalita Pawar, Sulbha Deshpande, Seema Deo, Reema Lagoo and few others who established themselves with prominent character roles in Bollywood, now one more Marathi actress is in the reckoning in Bollywood. Kshiti Jog, who has bagged a prominent role in recently released big banner Hindi film ‘Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ directed by Karan Johar.
After release of this film, Kshiti Jog has invited all the attention from Hindi film lovers with her wonderful performance in this film, that too in presence of many renowned artistes. Kshiti is herself very happy and says that she enjoyed playing her character in this film, which has very good scope. “It was a great learning experience working with so many renowned artistes from Bollywood,”said Kshiti.
Director Karan Johar is also all praise for Kshiti Jog. “I have seen her performance in this film and feel that she is too good. Veteran actor Jayant Savarkar passes away at 87
Well Known Marathi veteran actor Jayant Savarkar passed away today morning in a Thane hospital. He was 87. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son. Mr. Jayant Savarkar was recently awarded Life Time Achievement award at the Ambernath Marathi Film Festival. Earlier, he had also received the prestigious Natyavarya Prabhakar Panshikar Lifetime Achievement award from Government of Maharashtra.
He had performed in more than 100 plays and was known for his memorable roles Taliram in ‘Ekach Pyala’ and Antu Barva in ‘Vyakti aani Valli’. He was active with his television performances through serials like ‘Tumchi Mulgi Kaay Karte’ last year and the second part of this serial ‘Karan Gunhyala Mafi Nahi’ which is being aired now Sony Marathi. Only few days ago he was seen in this serial playing the role of a detective Chintu Nana an old man as Police informer. Jayant Savarkar had also performed in few Hindi films like ‘Vaastav’ ‘Yugpurush’ and ‘Singham’. His last rites will be performed on Tuesday morning.
