Lyricists Prashant Madpuwar and Arun Sangole have penned the lyrics for this film, while Sam A. R., Jagdish Gomila and Tushar Pargaonkar have composed the vocals. Grand Musical Entertainment Event of ‘Boyz 3′ in Pune
After releasing trailer of ‘Boyz 3′, the makers of this film had organised a grand entertaining musical event of this film in Pune recently. Having popularised the music of ‘Boyz 2′ the makers of ‘Boyz 3’ played the music of ‘Lagnalu 2.0’ along with other songs. Jio Studios have announced their new Marathi film ‘Ek Don Teen Char’ recently with Nipun Dharmadhikari and Vaidehi Parshurami in lead roles. This film will be released in the year 2023. Directed by ‘Muramba’ fame Varun Narvekar this film is produced by Ranjit Gugale, Keyur Godse, Nipun Dharmadhikari & Niraj Biniwale.
‘Ek Don Teen Char’ revolves around a young couple who decide to get married at the young age of 23. After all, marriages are made in heaven. But, what problems they face after this decision is what the film has tried to show through its script.According to director Varun Narvekar, “This film will be appreciated by young generation as they will co relate themselves with this film. Moreover, marriage at any age is a big challenge for all couples. I am sure, this roller coaster love story will be appreciated by all.”
Subodh Bhave to play Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj
Zee Studios have announced their new Marathi film ‘Har Har Mahadev’ in a grand way. In this film, Subodh Bhave will play the lead character of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Recently, the digital poster of this film was launched, with Subodh Bhave appearing as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Since Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was not only popular in Maharashtra but all over India, Zee Studios have decided to make this film in other languages like Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada besides Marathi. So, this film will be released in 5 languages during coming Diwali 2022.
Besides Subodh Bhave this film will present many renowned actors. Directed by Abhijit Shirish Deshpande this film will be a grand film with 400 VFX technicians with Hollywood experience are working day and night on this project. So, there is no doubt that this will be technically a grand film.
Sana Kedar Shinde to play Shahir Sable’s wife in his biopic
We are all aware that director Kedar Shinde had announced biopic on Shahir Sable. Suitably titled ‘Maharashtra Shahir’ to coincide with his birth centenary. At the beginning of this birth centenary year, he has announced the name of Sana Kedar Shinde, who will play the role of his Shahir’s wife Bhanumati, the well known poet, in this film. Sana is great grand daughter of Late Shahir Sable and hence has been fortunate to play this role.
Besides being a Master in Folk art of Maharashtra, having won several prestigious awards, Shahir Sable had also actively taken part in 1942 Chale Jao freedom movement, Goa and Hyderabad Mukti Sangram and Samyukta Maharashtra Movement. And therefore this biopic will be a biggest tribute to him on the occasion of his birth centenary, which will be observed from 3rd September 2022 to 3rd September 1923. The biopic will however be released in April 2023.
Starring Ankush Chaudhari and Sana Kedar Shinde this film is produced by Sanjay Chhabria (Everest Entertainment) and Bela Shinde. Story by Vasundhara Sable, Screenplay and Dialogue by Pratima Kulkarni and editing by Mayur Hardas are the other credits. Ajay Atul’s music is another highlight of this film.
‘Jakkal’, a Marathi web-series based on the gruesome murder in Pune
Jio Studios is coming up with a Marathi web series called ‘Jakkal’ (जक्कल) . Based on a sensational murder case in Pune in the 1970s, the web show will explore when ordinary middle-class kids unknowingly turn to the path of crime and the extremes they can go to.
Director Vivek Wagh has been working on this topic for the last 4 years. Vivek Wagh has also received the National Award for ‘Best Investigative Documentary’ based on the same topic in 2020. The series is produced by Shivam Yadav and Karthiki Yadav of A Culture Canvas Entertainment Production.
During 1976 to 1977, two emergencies were imposed in a cultural city like Pune, one in Delhi and the other in Jakkal.
So , what is Jakkal beyond sensational murders, brutal murders? Is Jakkal last name? what about those 10 innocent people caught up in it? What is important is whether an artist was a murderer or a murderer was an artist by accident?
All this will be attempted in the upcoming web serial ‘Jakkal’.

Now days it does not matter whether you are making a film or a web show provided it has a gripping story. Forthcoming Marathi Web show ‘Kaalsutra’ announced by Jio Studios is based on Salil Desai’s bestseller novel ‘Murder Milestone’. It revolves around a honest Police officer and serial killer who has been declared guilty of eight murders and is on a death sentence. The producers of this serial are confident that the first season of this web show will be appreciated by the viewers.
