Now, new teaser of ‘Y’ unveils lead male artistes

When the first poster of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Y’ was released, we only came to know about the presence of Mukta Barve as lead actress of this film. Later, when the first teaser of this film was unveiled, it became clear that besides Mukta Barve there were other female lead in the form of Prajakta Mali and Rasika Chavan.

And now, with the release of second teaser of this film, the names of male lead artistes from this film have been unveiled. They are, Nandu madhav, Sandeep Pathak, Omkar Govardhan, Suhas Shrisat, Pradeep Bhosale, Rohit Kokate and Sandeep Dandavate. So, there is a lot of curiosity about this film.
Indian Idol fame Salman Ali makes his entry in Marathi through ‘Anya’
Marathi films have gone worldwide, through various international film festivals. No wonder, today, many popular artists, singers and musicians are eager to work in Marathi cinema, which has succeeded in attracting the attention of all at the global level. Indian Idol fame Salman Ali, who is one of them, has got an opportunity to sing in Marathi language through an upcoming Marathi film ‘Anya’.

Producer Shelna K. And Simmy has co-produced ‘Anya’ with Capitalwoods under the banner of Initiative Films. The film is directed by Simmi Joseph. It may be recalled that Simmi has made significant contributions to Southern films to this day. Following in the footsteps of veteran Hindi singers, Salman has also made his debut in Marathi cinema. The film ‘Anya’, which was made in Hindi along with Marathi, has fulfilled Salman Ali’s desire to sing in a Marathi film. Salman has also sung the Marathi song ‘Aik Pakhra …’ in Marathi. The song is written by Prashant Jamadar and Sajeev Sarathi and the composer Raamnath has successfully fulfilled the responsibility of composing melodious music. Salman expressed his happiness that he got the opportunity to make his debut.

In ‘Anya’, actors like Raima Sen, Atul Kulkarni, Prathamesh Parab, Tejashree Pradhan, Bhushan Pradhan, Krutika Dev, Sunil Tawde, Yashpal Sharma and Govind Namdev have portrayed various personalities. ‘Anya’, which draws attention to burning issues in the society, will be screened on June 10 all over India, including Maharashtra. ‘Anya’ is written by Mahendra Patil and the cinematography is by Sajjan Kalathil.
Saurabh Gokhale to play Swatantryaveer Savarkar

Versatile stage, television and film actor Saurabh Gokhale will play the lead role of Swatantryaveer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar in the much talked about Marathi short film ‘Kaljayee Savarkar’ which is due for release soon. Another important role of Hindustan the country and also the narrator will be portrayed by veteran actor Manoj Joshi. This film will be released in different parts of Maharashtra soon. Mrinal Kulkarni joins Founders’ Board of Planet Marathi

Popular Marathi television and film actress Mrinal Kulkarni has joined the Founders Board of Planet Marathi OTT and A Vistas Media Capital Company recently. Mrinal having experience of her long career in acting and now as a director screenplay writer, will be of great help to Planet Marathi, to take Marathi films at the top level, with her active presence with them.
Speaking about her new association with Planet Marathi, Mrinal says, “This is a very happy moment for me . But, at the same time there will be a lot of responsibility. ‘Har Har Mahadev’ to be released in 5 languages on Diwali 2022
The much awaited Marathi film ‘Har Har Mahadev (हर हर महादेव)’ has been receiving all the attention, ever since the teaser of this film was released in the voice of MNS Chief Mr. Raj Thackeray. This film which is presented by Zee Studios and Shree Ganesh Marketing & Films will be released on 23rd October 2022 and besides Marathi, it will be released simultaneously in four other languages Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada in a dubbed version. Children from Snehalaya offer a unique gift to Mukta Barve

Actress Mukta Barve who has received good wishes from many prominent personalities for her forthcoming Marathi film ‘Y’ has now received a unique gift from ‘Snehalaya’ a children’s home along with similar other children’s home like ‘Snehankur’ and ‘Yuvan’. Mukta had visited these places recently and spent some quality time with these children and shared some of her experiences with them.

These children too reciprocated, by forming the alphabet ‘Y’ by their group formation to offer this unique gift to her. Overwhelmed by this response, Mukta said that this was a memorable moment in her life , which was very encouraging. “Their best wishes are very special for me,” she added. Directed by Ajit Wadikar, this film will be released on 24th June 2022.

Hruta Durgule in Zee Studios film ‘Timepass 3′
Presented by Zee Studios presentation and Ravi Jadhav directed ‘Timepass 3 (टाइमपास 3)’ teaser was released recently. It may be recalled that ‘Timepass’ and ‘Timepass 2′ had become hit films and therefore all eyes on ‘Timepass 3′. In part 3 there is a twist, according to the makers. The centre of attraction of this Part 3 teaser is the character of Palavi Dinkar Patil played by Hruta Durgule.

So, there is a curiosity among the Marathi film lovers, whether the character of Praju will be seen in this film or not ? However, the characters of Madhav Lele (Vaibhav Mangle) and Dagadu(Prathamesh Parabh) are noticed in the teaser. One doubt is made clear by the makers is that the story is not post marriage of Dagadu but during his teenage. One thing is sure that the film lovers may not have to wait for long, as the film will be released on 29th July 2022.
Marathi short film ‘Arjun’ wins first prize

In order to offer opportunities to new film makers, Planet Marathi had organized ‘Planet Marathi Short Film Festival’ ( PMSFF) recently. This festival had received a very good response with 1600 entries. Out of which five short films were selected for awards. The judges of this competition were Sanjay Jadhav, Mrunal Kulkarni, Kiran Yadnyopavit, Nikhil Mahajan and Sarvesh Parab.
Madhuban Film’s ‘Arjun’ bagged the first prize comprising of Rs. 5 lakhs. The second prize of Rs. 3 lakhs was awarded to ‘Arjun’s story’ made by Rakhadi Sudios, while the third prize of Rs. 2 lakhs went to Rakhadi Studios ‘Avanti’. The consolation prizes of Rs. 50,000/- were awarded to Rakhadi Studios’ ‘Abhi- Anu’ and Rs. 30,000/- ‘ Amar Gore and Akbar Sayyad’s short film ‘Aatman’.

Planet Marathi founder Mr. Akshay Bardapurkar expressed his happiness for the overwhelming response received from new film makers for this short film festival, which was organized by them for the first time. “All the films were well presented with variety of subjects and had very good artistes. So, it was a difficult task for the judges to shortlist five films . But, they did their job very well,” he said.
‘Bhirkit’ to strike with cyclone of Comedy on 17th June
Described as a ‘Cyclone of Comedy’ by makers of this film, ‘Bhirkit (भिरकिट)’ is now all set to release on 17th June all over Maharashtra. Presented by Classic Enterprise, produced by Suresh Oswal & Bhagyavanti Oswal and directed by Anup Jagdale, ‘Bhirkit’ is a story happening in a village and revolves around family relationship, politics, love story and humour arising out of it. Songs of this film have already popularized and now with the release of film’s trailer, this film has raised big expectations.
