‘Jhimma’ was the first Marathi film to be released in theatres after lifting of lockdown restrictions in the state of Maharashtra. Today, this film is celebrating its 100 days run in theatres, in spite of 50 % attendance. Incidentally, the film was also released on Amazon Prime OTT platform from 21^st January 2022. However, the response from audience in theatres is still very good, which is a good news for Marathi films.

On Amazon Prime, ‘Jhimma’ is trending and is among the first five films. This blockbuster film has already made collection of Rs. 15 Crores and is running in its 15^th week. Directed by Hemant Dhome, this film is presented by Chalchitra Company and produced by Amey Vinod Khopkar Entertainment and Crazy Few Films. While celebrating the success of this film producer of this film Kshiti Jog said, “ Jhimma was released at a time, when people were worried about the future of Marathi films after lifting the lockdown in theatres. But, we dared to release this film and open the doors for Marathi theatres in cinema halls once again. Today, we are happy to see the good response.
