Prajakta Shinde’s bold look in ‘Email Female’
Today we find many newcomers struggling to find roles in films, after proving their ability on stage and television. But, not all of them achieve success. Prajakta Shinde is one such lucky actress to find a prominent role in forthcoming Marathi film ‘Email Female’.
In this film Prajakta will be seen portraying a bold character, which is clearly indicated through film’s poster released recently. Produced by Shailesh Kote and Manish Patel under the banner of S.M.Balaji Films and written and directed by Yogesh Jadhav , the film is now ready for release.
Speaking about her character in this film, Prajakta says, “I am playing a bold and happy go lucky character in this film. Today, almost everybody is addicted to social media. The film throws light on how some of the people are cheated by wrong people on social media. ”
The film also stars Nikhil Ratnaparakhi, Vikram Goikhale, Vijay Patkar, Deepti Bhagwat, Kanchan Pagare, Sunil Godbole, Kamalesh Sawant, Pratiksha Jadhav, Shweta Pardeshi and child artiste Maithili Patwardhan.

‘AB Aani CD’ to take on ‘Vijeta’ this friday
Much talked about Marathi film ‘AB Aani CD’ produced by Akshay Bardapurkar under the banner of Planet Marathi Production, Golden Ratio Films and KCR Reddy and directed by Milind Lele, who earlier directed films like ‘Manya Sajjana’, ‘Kurukshetra’ & ‘Bandishala’ is ready to take on another big banner Marathi film ‘Vijeta’ this Friday. While ‘AB & CD’ has two top veterans of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan and Vikram Gokhale in the lead, ‘Vijeta’ produced by Rahul Puri under the banner of Subhash Ghai’s Mukta Arts is a multi starrer film with popular artistes involved in this sports based film directed by Amol Shetge, who has earlier directed some bollywood films, besides directing films like ‘One Way Ticket’ and ‘Sou Shashi Deodhar’.
Incidentally, both these films have a common factor with Subodh Bhave playing lead roles in both the films. However, in short it will be Milind Lele v/s Amol Shetge or Subodh Bhave v/s Subodh Bhave to decide who scores better during this week. Both the films being big banner films are expected to offer something different. Music also plays an important roles for both these films . So, for music score, it will be Rahul Ranade and team of AB aani CD’ taking the challenge from Rohan and Rohan of ‘Vijeta’. For AB Aani CD the cinematography is done by Suresh Deshmane while for ‘Vijeta’ it is done by Uday Singh Mohite.
युवा अभिनेत्री प्राजक्ता शिंदेचा बोल्ड अंदाज
आगामी मराठी चित्रपट ‘इमेल फिमेल’ह्यात युवा अभिनेत्री प्राजक्ता शिंदे अत्यंत बोल्ड अंदाजात दिसणार असून या चित्रपटाच्या पोस्टरवरील तिचा अंदाज कुणालाही घायाळ करेल असाच आहे. प्राजक्ता शिंदे सध्या चित्रपटसृष्टीत स्वत:ची वेगळी ओळख निर्माण करू पहात आहे. ‘इमेल फिमेल’ ह्या चित्रपटाच्या पोस्टरवरील तिच्या या बोल्ड फोटोची सध्या चांगलीच चर्चा रंगली आहे. एस.एम.बालाजी फिल्म प्रोडक्शन’ प्रस्तुत चित्रपटाची निर्मिती शैलेश कोते आणि मनीष पटेल यांनी केली असून कथा आणि दिग्दर्शन योगेश जाधव यांचे आहे.
‘इमेल फिमेल’ ह्या चित्रपटाच्या प्राजक्ता एका मॉडर्न मुलीच्या भूमिकेत दिसणार आहे, जी बिनधास्त आणि बोल्ड आहे. चुकीच्या मार्गाने एखाद्याला जाळ्यात ओढलंही जाऊ शकतं आणि त्याचे काय दुष्परिणाम होऊ शकतात हे दाखवण्याचा प्रयत्न या चित्रपटातून केला आहे. प्राजक्ताला बोल्ड, ग्लॅमरस अंदाजात रुपेरी पडद्यावर पाहणे औत्सुक्याचे ठरणार आहे.
प्राजक्ता सोबत ‘इमेल फिमेल’ चित्रपटात निखिल रत्नपारखी,विक्रम गोखले, विजय पाटकर, दिप्ती भागवत, कांचन पगारे, प्रतीक्षा जाधव, श्वेता परदेशी व बालकलाकार मैथिली पटवर्धन या कलाकारांच्या भूमिका आहेत.
येत्या २० मार्चला हा चित्रपट संपूर्ण महाराष्ट्रात प्रदर्शित होणार आहे .
New poster of ‘Ajinkya’ unveiled
After generating curiosity with its teaser on social media , now the official new poster of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Ajinkya’ has been unveiled clearly indicating that it will be an emotion filled film with good artistes and also declaring its release date as 20th March 2020. Starring Bhushan Pradhan and Prathana Behere in the lead roles, the film also has a team talented artistes like Uday Tikekar, Arun Nalawade, Aniket kelkar , Pallavi Patil , Prasad Javade, Ganesh Yadav and Triyug Mantri in important roles.
Writer – director has used ideal locations in Jat in Sangli district along with Kolhapur and Mumbai suited to the film’s requirement. According to him the hero of this film is one amongst us and therefore while watching this film those who believe in chasing their dreams with cyclonic speed will connect with his character. Now, it remains to be seen how the chemistry between Bhushan and Prarthana works in this film.
Ritika Shrotri to return with ‘Darling’
Last year’s Super hit Marathi film ‘Takatak‘ offered a gorgeous young actress in the form of Ritika Shrotri. With her entry itself in this film, she grabbed all the attention of audience. Moreover, with her extra ordinary acting skills she also found place in the hearts of young audience. Now, Ritika is returning on big screen with her next Marathi film ‘Darling’.
Making official announcement of this film recently, an attractive motion poster of this film was released by producers Amit Dhupe, Ajay Thakur, V.J.Shalaka and Nikhil Khajindar. This time Ritika has found another challenging role under the direction of Samir Asha Patil, who had earlier directed films like ‘Chaurya’, ‘Yuntum‘, & ‘Wagherya’. Till now, the name of lead actor opposite Ritika and names of other important artistes haven’t been announced. But, music of this film will be provided by Chinar- Mahesh
Arundathi Nag returns to Marathi cinema after 40 years
National award winner Padmashree Arundathi Nag ( Formerly Arundhati Rao), who made her debut in Marathi films in 1979 through the film 22 June 1979, is returning to Marathi cinema after 40 years, through forthcoming Marathi film ‘Medium Spicy’. After her marriage to actor Kannada actor Shankar Nag Arundhati lived in Bangalore. She did perform later in Kannada, South and Hindi films and also theatre. And was also in touch with Marathi theatre and did watch Marathi plays staged at Rangshankara auditorium.
She has even watched the plays of ‘Medium Spicy’ director Mohit Takalkar whenever he used to stage his plays in Bangalore. During on such play, Mohit personally approached Arundhati with a request to perform an important role in his Marathi film . He felt that only she was best suitable to perform the important character Lakshmi Tipnis, a kind hearted intelligent lady. According to Mohit, it was necessary to create that impact with the entry of this character in the film.
Mohit further said that Arundhati is a wonderful actress . “Though she will be returning to Marathi films after 40 years, she has good command over Marathi language. What is more important is that she loves the language of a film and gets connected with the character with total commitment.”
Arundhati herself is all praise about Mohit’s work and has also appreciated actor Lalit Prabhakar who is part of this film.
Ustaad Zakir Hussain unveils Teaser – Poster of ‘Mee Vasantrao’
Biopics on renowned personalities have been well accepted by Marathi cinema lovers. Now, one more Biopic on legendary classical singer Late Vasantrao Deshpande suitably titled ‘Mee Vasantrao’ is getting ready for release soon. Recently, teaser-poster of this film was unveiled by Ustaad Zakir Hussain in presence of Viacom 18 Studios CEO Ajit Andhare, Business head Viacom 18 Marathi Entertainment Nikhil Sane , director of the film Nipun Dharmadhikari , artistes Rahul Deshpande, Anita Date, Kaumudi Walokar & Pushkaraj Chirputkar.
Rahul Deshpande , Well Known classical Singer and grandson of Late Vasnatrao Deshpande will be making his acting debut in Marathi films through this film playing the title role of his grandfather. Speaking about his role, Rahul said that till now he has been carrying forward the family tradition with his devotion towards classical singing. And now, it is the great moment in his life to perform his grandfather’s character. Other well known artistes like Anita Date, Amey Wagh and kaumudi walokar, are also part of the film in lead roles. Film will be released all over Mahrashtra on 1st May 2020.
‘Aarsaa’ wins Shirur Short Film Festival audience choice award
Written by Ashish Ningurkar and directed by Ganesh Modak Marathi short film ‘Aarsaa’ has won the audience choice Best film award at the Shirur Short Film festival recently. The festival was hosted by Krantiveer Pratishthan and Shirur Taluka Sanskrutik Mahotsav 2020 jointly. The screening of the participating films was done at the seminar hall of marvel Inn hotel , Shirur and received a good response.
The film stars Shweta Pagar in the lead role along with Chaitra Bhujbal, Sanket kashyap, Gitanjali Kambli and Dr. Smita Kasar. The film has already won awards and appreciation at different festivals in Mumbai, Pune and Indapur. ‘Aarsaa’ creates awareness about the cancer ailment and has shown how a cancer patient can be helped by common people. The film has also tried to remove some misunderstandings about this ailment.
There were instant reactions coming from the audience after the screening of this film, who not only appreciated the film but also took active part in question – answer session with the team of the film.
