Teaser launch of Gradiente Infotainment’s Marathi film ‘Abhaya’
Marathi cinema has always been known for content based films. The teaser of Marathi film ‘Abhaya’, with such an exciting story, has been launched in Mumbai. This crime thriller is produced by Dr. Vimal Raj Mathur in association with Rupesh D Gohil (RDG Production Pvt. Ltd.) under his banner Gradiente Infotainment limited.
Producer of ‘Abhaya’ Dr. Vimal Raj Mathur said that many projects are coming under his banner Gradiente infotainment limited. He is also coming up with an OTT platform, business channel and music channel soon. Producer Rupesh D Gohil said that the shooting of the first schedule of the film has been completed while the second and final schedule will be shot next month. The film is planned to be released in Marathi, Hindi and South languages on the occasion of Vijaya Dashmi.
Story of ‘Abhaya’ is about Savitri, a rural housewife who is troubled by her crooked husband. You will have to watch the film to know how Savitri copes with these circumstances and what happens in the end. In this film, Drishyam fame Kamlesh Sawant has played the role of Constable Sawant, while Yogita Bhosle will be seen in the role of Savitri.
The film is written and directed by Yusuf Surti. Among the rest of the actors in the film, the names of Harsha Nikam, Shraddha Wagh and Aarohi Bhoir are notable. The music of the film is composed by R.P Soni and the cinematographer is Vimal Mishra.
Based on the issue of women empowerment, the film is about a woman troubled by domestic violence. It is said that do not scare anyone so much that fear disappears from his mind. The story of the film revolves around this subject. The writer-director of the film says that Abhaya is the story of a woman named Savitri, who is a fearless woman who takes the form of Durga.He is confident that the mystery and thrill in this film will keep the audience engaged.
Ultra Jhakaas OTT offer Combo of Crime & Comedy
During the last week of May 2024, Ultra Jhakaas Marathi OTT platform are offering a combo of Crime and Horror for their viewers. The Crime thriller ‘Sambhram’ revolves around Jayant, who after coming to know that his father has been falsely implicated in a case, tries to find the evidences to get him released from jail. The other film ‘Choricha Mamla’ shows the efforts of a woman who hires an agency to search her pet tigress who has been kidnapped. Rohan Mapuskar’s first Marathi film
After working as a casting director for Marathi and Hindi films for the past 17 years, Rohan Mapuskar is now directing his first Marathi film. Recently, he completed shooting of this film at Shrivardhan. Making official announcement about this project, Rohan said that it was his dream to make a Marathi film which will be close and relatable to everyone across the world.
Speaking about his project, he says, “After absorbing lots of ups and downs, struggles and sacrifices, my dream of making a film has finally turned into reality. The universe has presented me with this beautiful opportunity to step into and direct. I have earned a lot of love and respect for being a Casting Director in the last 17 years. These 17 years have shaped me and paved my path as a Director. This film is my baby and I will make sure not to leave any stone unturned to make it a memorable one.”
He further adds “This film has thrown every possible challenge at me and that has terribly excited me to seek and grow up as a Director. I am grateful to the universe for helping me sail through this shooting journey safely with lots of love and care.”

Bhushan Pradhan scores boundary on Ultra Jhakaas OTT
Known for his fitness smart looks and solid performance in Marathi film industry, Bhushan Pradhan has scored a boundary of films on Ultra Jhakaas Marathi OTT platform. Till recently, Ultra Jhakaas have released Bhushan’s films like ‘Unn Savali’, ‘Fake Marriage’ and ‘Lagnakallol’. And now, on 17th May 2024 his latest film ‘Rangeet’ has been released with World Digital premiere on this platform.

‘Balumamachya Navan Changbhala’ to have a new look
For the past five years ‘Balumamachya Navan Changbhala’ serial on Colors Marathi presented Balumama in different forms during his childhood, young days and in his advancing age. And these stories received very good response from home viewers. Now, the makers of this serial will present all such stories of Balumama connected with his past, which were not yet known to the people.
Actually, in the new episodes viewers will get to see Balu Mama’s journey with his Guru Muley Maharaj when the villagers of Akkol village invite them to their village. ‘Behind every successful man there is a woman’, as she is the one who lays a firm foundation with the bricks that others have thrown at her husband. And at the same time, ‘Behind every successful woman there is a man’, as he is the one who believed in his wife, when nobody else did. But, do you know that, ‘Behind every successful working woman there is a housemaid’. To find out the reason, you will have to watch the latest released Marathi film ‘Nach Ga Ghuma’.
Incidentally, Marathi cinema is known for offering some thought provoking subjects, which are targeted at mass audience. Today’s city lifestyle is such that every person in the house is dependent on others. And when you think about a working couple with their school going kid, their dependability is more on a sincere housemaid, who should be able to manage the house and their kid.
‘Nach Ga Ghuma’ directed by Paresh Mokashi presents two such working women who have sweet and sour relationship between them. They are, Rani ( Mukta Barve) and her housemaid – Ashatai ( Namrata Sambherao). In this film, we find a small family comprising of Anand (Sarang Sathye) and his wife Rani busy with their respective jobs. They have a 6 year old school going daughter Sayali alias Chiku ( Myra Vaikul). To manage the house and their little daughter, they hire the services of a housemaid for 12 hours a day. The family is so dependent on Ashatai that even her late arrival on duty by 15-30 mins, upsets their daily schedule. Especially, Rani who has to suffer the most, as she has to face the heat in office from her boss.
Director Paresh Mokashi has presented this interesting subject in an entertaining way in the first half. In the second half he tries to highlight the emotional attachment among all the characters with some interesting happenings, to keep the audience engaged. Though the climax in predictable, the film certainly succeeds in entertaining the audience, with wonderful performances from all the artistes. While Mukta, Sarang, Myra are at their best, the actress who steals the show is Namrata Sambherao. Through this film, she could offer not only comedy in which she is at her best, but also her emotional feelings very well. Sharmistha Raut, Madugandha Kulkarni , Sukanya Kulkarni, Supriya Pathak, Sunil Abhyankar have offered good support through their respective characters, while Swapnil Joshi and Lalit Prabhakar have little to do through their special appearance.
‘Nach Ga Ghuma’ is a well presented film with a good social message, offered by director Paresh Mokashi, who has also extracted the best out of all the artistes. He has received good support from music director Tanmay Bhide, cinematographer Sandeep GN Yadav and Faisal Mahadik with his perfect editing work. It’s a family entertainer. No wonder the film is still drawing good crowds at cinema theatres in the 2nd week. So, Don’t miss it.
Marathi Film ‘Malhar’ poster released with announcement
Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Malhar’ is all set for release on 31st May 2024. Besides Marathi, this film will also be released in Hindi. Recently, poster of this film was officially released when the release date of the film was also declared. multi-starrer ‘Juna Furniture’ will be the biggest attraction on 26th April
Only few days a ago the teaser launch function of the film ‘Juna Furniture’ was held in Shivaji Park. And everybody came to know about the presence of Mahesh Manjrekar in the lead role in this film. Now, the Poster of this film has been released on social media, in which we notice other artistes like Medha Manjrekar, Upendra Limaye, Bhushan Pradhan, Anusha Dandekar and Sachin Khedekar prominently seen besides Mahesh Manjrekar. The poster also shows the Court of law, Judge and some documents clearly indicating that the film is based on a legal battle.
The other artistes of this multi starrer film are Samir Dharmadhikari, Dr. Girish Oak, Vijay Nikam, Santosh Mijgar, Alka Parab, and Sharad Pokshe in important roles. This film will also present Shivaji Satam and Omkar Bhojane in special appearance. The story- screenplay and dialogues of this film are written by Mahesh Manjrekar besides directing this film. Yatin Jadhav has produced this film. According to Mahesh waman Manjrekar, this film has tried to show how strong is old furniture. The film shows the fight of a senior citizen for justice. There are many senior citizens who face injustice in their lives and this goes unnoticed. “I appeal to all the youngsters to watch this film along with their parents,” he added.
