Marathi film ‘Unaad’ selected for ZLIN Film Festival
Produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Ajit Arora, Chandresh J Bhanushali & Pritesh Thakkar , presented by Jio Studios and directed by Aditya Sarpotdar , the so called coming of age Marathi film ‘Unaad (उनाड)’ has been selected at the International Competition of Feature Films ,Youth Category at ZLIN Film Festival. This announcement has been made by director Aditya Sarpotdar on social media.
Based on the lives of three youths belonging to Koli community and their struggles in life, ‘Unaad’ stars Abhishek Bharate, Devika Daftardar, Ashutosh Gaikwad, Hemal Ingale, Avinash Khedekar, Pravin Prabhakar & Priyanka Tendolkar in lead roles. Written by Saurabh Bhave the screenplay of this film is written by Saurabh Bhave and Kalyani Pandit while dialogues are penned by Kalyani Pandit. Music by Gulraj Singh, cinematography by Lawrence D’cunha, Casting by Rohan Mapuskar, art by Mahesh Kudalkar , editing by Faisal Mahadik, Imran Mahadik and Bhavesh Todankar are the other credits of this film.
Manoj Bajpayee unveils trailer of a Marathi film
Since our childhood we have developed a strong bonding with our country ‘Bharat’. And therefore, there is a lot of curiosity to see the forthcoming Marathi film ‘Bharat Majha Desh Aahe’ with a suitable title . Recently, trailer of this film was unveiled by popular actor Manoj Vajpayee in presence of the team of this film.

Produced by Dr. Ashish Agrawal this film is ready for release on 6th May 2022. Speaking on this occasion, chief guest Manoj Vajpayee said, “Whenever there is a strong feeling in mind, such films on this subject are made. This is a very sensitive subject and emotions of many people are connected with this subject. When our soldiers are fighting battle at the front, their family members are also facing a tough battle at home. I am glad that Pandurang Jadhav has selected this subject for his film. The trailer of this film is also very appealing. The child artistes have also performed very well.”
According to the director, during the ongoing summer vacation, all parents should watch this film with their children. Lyrics of this film are penned by Sameer Samat, while music is by Ashwin Srinivasan.
Trailer of Subodh Pawar’s film ‘Tarafa’ unveiled
The trailer of Director Subodh Pawar’s forthcoming Marathi film ‘Tarafa (तराफा )’ was unveiled recently. This film is all set to release all over Maharashtra on 6th May 2022. With the attraction of new pair of Ashwini Kasar and Pankaj Khamkar, this music based film has already raised the curiosity of film lovers. Moreover, besides directing, Subodh Pawar has also written the story, screenplay, dialogues and lyrics of ‘Tarafa’.
Along with Ashwini and Pankaj, the film also stars Dilip Dombe, Shravani Solaskar, Milind Dastane, Priyanka Kasle, Shashank Darane, Arvind Dhanu, Shivaji Redekar, Rajendra Jadhav, Narendra Jadhav, Pari Pimple, Anita Kulkarni, Kavita Chavan, Vijay Jadhav, Gajanan Karale, Babasaheb. Kate and Arjun Khatavkar have been paired with child actors Bhoomi Avinash Kudche and Gauri Avinash Kudche.
‘Tarafa’ is produced by Avinash Kudche (Kaka) under the banner of Bhoomi Production. According to the director Subodh Pawar, his film will not only be entertaining but is also informative. Pawar also expressed satisfaction over the hard work of the entire team of ‘Tarafa’ and the freedom given by the producers to produce a quality film, with excellent production values.
Cinematography by Raja Phadtare and editing is by Nilesh Gawand. Lyrics by Subodh Pawar and Singer-composer Vijay Gatlewar has directed the music besides singing. The choreography is by Pradip Karlekar and Shardul Kunwar. Keshav Thakur is the art director and Manali Bhosale is the hairdresser.
‘Tee Aani Shala’ Web series poster unveiled
The poster of forthcoming Marathi Web Series ‘Tee Aani Shala’ was unveiled by chief guest and popular Member of Parliament Mr. Udayanraje Bhosale recently in Pune. This also discloses that newcomer Anushree Mane will be playing the lead role in this series. Opposite her will be youth icon Adinath Jadhav as lead hero. The first episode of this web series will be released on the 3rd May, an auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, by Studio 09 Productions on Youtube channel.
Speaking on this occasion, the chief guest recalled memories of his schooldays and shared them with all those present on the occasion. He said that the happy memories of Schooldays has always played an important part in everybody’s life and therefore this series which deals with this subject, will surely be welcomed by all. He offered his good wishes to the entire team.
In the past, we have seen some films on this subject by reputed directors. Now, it remains to be seen, how different this film would be, as far as the screenplay is concerned.
Amruta Khanvilkar and Prajakta Mali come face to face in ‘Chandramukhi’
Marathi film ‘Chandramukhi (चंद्रमुखी)’ which is all set for release on 29th April is the topic of discussion among Marathi film lovers, as the promotion of this film has already impressed them. Now, the fresh talk is about the Lavani in this film, which is pictured on Amruta Khanvilkar and Prajakta Mali, who have come face to face for this musical jugalbandi.
This Lavani has lyrics by Guru Thakur with music composed by Ajay Atul. Singers like Madhura Datar, Priyanka Barve and Vishwajeet Borwankar have rendered their voices for this Lavani with choreography by Deepali Vichare. Speaking about the different forms of Lavanis in this film, director Prasad Oak says, “ We have tried to offer this traditional form of dance in different ways through this film.”

We had heard about a particular village in Maharashtra, where at least one member from every family joining Indian Army. Now, this story will be offered in the form of a Patriotic Marathi film ‘Bharat Majha Desh Aahe’ (भारत माझा देश आहे), which is ready for release on 6th May 2022. In this film you will see the emotional feelings of the family members, when a close member of their family is fighting a battle on the border for the safety of entire country.
The film stars Mangesh Desai, Hemani Kavi, Shashank Shende, Chhaya Kadam in lead roles along with two child artistes Rajveersingh Raje gaikwad & Devanshi Sawant. This is debut film for both the child artistes. Rajveer had already become popular with his character of ‘Ladoo’ on small screen. Now, this film has offered him a memorable role.
According to writer- director Pandurang Jadhav, “Both the child artistes have very important roles to play and through their characters we have tried to send a social message to the audience.”

‘Raigadala Jevha Jaag Yete’ show performed at Raigad fort
Realising the importance of Raigad fort a special show of Marathi drama ‘Raigadala Jenvha Jaag Yete (रायगडाला जेव्हा जाग येते ) ‘was staged at this historical venue recently, to celebrate 75 years of India’s independence. On this occasion, a small exhibition showing the importance of this fort was also held at this venue. Minister of State Govt. of Maharashtra Aditri Tatkare was present as a chief guest besides other dignitaries.
Directed by Upendra Date, the new team of this play comprise of Pramod Pawar, Yash Kadam, Upendra Date, Mohan Satam, Subhash Bhagwat, Master Chinmay, Mayur Bhatkar, Sandhya Velankar, and Anita Date. Speaking on this occasion, the team of this play expressed their happiness over the big response from audience and agreed to perform many more shows of this play in the current year at different places in Maharashtra.
Mukta Barve returns with ‘Virus- Pune-2′ on Storytel
Popular Marathi actress Mukta Barve is in the news now days, not for her performance on stage, television or films, but for narrating an audio series ‘Virus- Pune’ Season 2. The Season 1 of this audio series based on Danial Oberg’s ‘Virus – Stockholm’ had already become very popular in her voice and therefore there are big expectations from Season -2 also.
Incidentally, Mukta had also narrated Storytel’s ‘Addict’, where she had narrated an interesting story of Dr. Raksha. Watching the popularity of ‘Virus- Pune’ in Marathi language, the original author Danial Oberg is highly impressed and he has specially appreciated the efforts taken by Mukta Barve to narrate this story in her own style.
