Amruta Khanvilkar and Prajakta Mali come face to face in ‘Chandramukhi’
Marathi film ‘Chandramukhi (चंद्रमुखी)’ which is all set for release on 29th April is the topic of discussion among Marathi film lovers, as the promotion of this film has already impressed them. Now, the fresh talk is about the Lavani in this film, which is pictured on Amruta Khanvilkar and Prajakta Mali, who have come face to face for this musical jugalbandi.
This Lavani has lyrics by Guru Thakur with music composed by Ajay Atul. Singers like Madhura Datar, Priyanka Barve and Vishwajeet Borwankar have rendered their voices for this Lavani with choreography by Deepali Vichare. Speaking about the different forms of Lavanis in this film, director Prasad Oak says, “ We have tried to offer this traditional form of dance in different ways through this film.”
Written by Chinmay Mandlekar and produced by Akshay Bardapurkar, Planet Marathi and Golden Resho films , this film stars Amruta Khanvilkar, Adinath Kothare, Mrunmayee Deshpande, Dr. Mohan Agashe, Rajendra Shisatkar, Sameer Chougule, Ashok Shinde, Neha Dandale, Radha Sagar and others . ‘अँटमगिरी (Itemgiri )’ या चित्रपटाच्या यशानंतर दिग्दर्शक प्रदीप टोणगे आणि मंगेश शेंडगे आता ‘तिरसाट (Tirsaat)’ हा चित्रपट घेऊन येत आहेत. नुकतंच या चित्रपटाचं पोस्टर सोशल मीडियाद्वारे लाँच करण्यात आलं. चित्रपटाच्या पोस्टरवरून ही एक प्रेमकहाणी असल्याचं कळतं. नीरज सूर्यकांत आणि तेजस्विनी शिर्के ही नवी जोडी या चित्रपटातून पदार्पण करत आहे. येत्या २० मे ला हा चित्रपट प्रेक्षकांच्या भेटीला येणार आहे.
दिनेश किरवे यांच्या क्लास वन फिल्म्सनं ‘तिरसाट’ या चित्रपटाची निर्मिती केली आहे. अँड. उमेश शेडगे हे सहनिर्माते आहेत. निर्माता दिनेश किरवे यांनीच चित्रपटाचं लेखन केलं आहे. पी.शंकरन यांनी चित्रपटाचं संगीत दिग्दर्शन केलं असून चित्रपटाचे संकलन मंगेश जोंधळे यांनी केल आहे. नकार सकारात्मकतेनं पचवला की आयुष्याला अर्थ येतो या आशयसूत्रावर हा चित्रपट बेतला आहे.

‘Bharat Majha Desh Aahe’ ready for release on 6th May
We had heard about a particular village in Maharashtra, where at least one member from every family joining Indian Army. Now, this story will be offered in the form of a Patriotic Marathi film ‘Bharat Majha Desh Aahe’ (भारत माझा देश आहे), which is ready for release on 6th May 2022. In this film you will see the emotional feelings of the family members, when a close member of their family is fighting a battle on the border for the safety of entire country.
The film stars Mangesh Desai, Hemani Kavi, Shashank Shende, Chhaya Kadam in lead roles along with two child artistes Rajveersingh Raje gaikwad & Devanshi Sawant. This is debut film for both the child artistes. Rajveer had already become popular with his character of ‘Ladoo’ on small screen. Now, this film has offered him a memorable role.
According to writer- director Pandurang Jadhav, “Both the child artistes have very important roles to play and through their characters we have tried to send a social message to the audience.”

‘Raigadala Jevha Jaag Yete’ show performed at Raigad fort
Realising the importance of Raigad fort a special show of Marathi drama ‘Raigadala Jenvha Jaag Yete (रायगडाला जेव्हा जाग येते ) ‘was staged at this historical venue recently, to celebrate 75 years of India’s independence. On this occasion, a small exhibition showing the importance of this fort was also held at this venue. Minister of State Govt. of Maharashtra Aditri Tatkare was present as a chief guest besides other dignitaries.
Directed by Upendra Date, the new team of this play comprise of Pramod Pawar, Yash Kadam, Upendra Date, Mohan Satam, Subhash Bhagwat, Master Chinmay, Mayur Bhatkar, Sandhya Velankar, and Anita Date. Speaking on this occasion, the team of this play expressed their happiness over the big response from audience and agreed to perform many more shows of this play in the current year at different places in Maharashtra.
Mukta Barve returns with ‘Virus- Pune-2′ on Storytel
Popular Marathi actress Mukta Barve is in the news now days, not for her performance on stage, television or films, but for narrating an audio series ‘Virus- Pune’ Season 2. The Season 1 of this audio series based on Danial Oberg’s ‘Virus – Stockholm’ had already become very popular in her voice and therefore there are big expectations from Season -2 also.
Incidentally, Mukta had also narrated Storytel’s ‘Addict’, where she had narrated an interesting story of Dr. Raksha. Watching the popularity of ‘Virus- Pune’ in Marathi language, the original author Danial Oberg is highly impressed and he has specially appreciated the efforts taken by Mukta Barve to narrate this story in her own style.
‘Dharmaveer’ music released in a grand way
Zee Studios along with Producer Mangesh Desai and director Praveen Tarde released the music of their film ‘Dharmaveer- Mukkam Post Thane’ in a grand way in Mumbai. The film is a biopic on the life of popular Shiv Sena leader from Thane Late. Anand Dighe. Present on the occasion were all artistes of the film, when Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Eknath Shinde, who was very close to Mr. Anand Dighe was present as a chief guest.
Prasad Oak, who is playing the title role in this film spoke about his experience in this film. He said, “In the teaser of this film, I was highly impressed by an important dialogue which states that all politicians are not the same. There are exceptions like Anand Dighe. I am glad that after working in 95 films, I had this opportunity to play the lead role of this type.”
Business head of Zee talkies Mr. Mangesh Kulkarni said, “The idea behind making this film was to spread the message and good work of Anand Dighe to every household. I am sure Marathi film lovers would appreciate this film.” Release date of this film has also been announced as 13th may 2022.

Prasad Oak to play title role of ‘Dharmaveer – Mu. Po. Thane’
Ever since the announcement of the film ‘Dharmaveer Mu. Po. Thane (धर्मवीर मु.पो. ठाणे)’ there was a lot of curiosity among people, as to who will play the title role Late Anand Dighe. But now, the curtain has been raised. It is now confirmed that Prasad Oak will be playing this title in this film, which will be presented by Zee Studios. To be directed by Praveen Vitthal Tarde, this film is produced by Mangesh Desai under his banner Sahil Motion Arts and Zee Studios together.
It may be recalled that Anand Dighe was a committed social worker and leader from Thane, who helped many poor and needy people fighting against injustice. Though he is not alive today, he remains in the hearts of several people from Thane. According to makers of this film, it was a big challenge to make a film on his life, but they have succeeded in their mission. This film on his life will now be released on 13th May all over Maharashtra.
Savi Goel’s Marathi film ‘Pension’ gets recognition at Filmfare Awards
Produced by Savi Goel under his banner Saveena Creations, Marathi film ‘Pension (पेन्शन)’ which is based on a sensible subject is in the news today. Versatile Actress Sonali Kulkarni was awarded critics award for best actress 2021 for her outstanding performance in this film.
Filmmaker Mr Goel is very passionate about making subjective Marathi films.
