‘Vartul’ selected for Pimpri-Chinchwad International Short film Fest
Actor, writer – director Ashish Ningurkar is now days in news for being active during this past five months period of lock down. He has made few short films on social awareness, observing social distancing norms. Now, his documentary film ‘Vartul’ will be the additional attraction at the Pimpri- Chinchwad International Short film festival . Short films from different countries will be seen at this film festival, which will be held online this year in the first week of September , due to spread of corona virus.
This documentary produced by Ms. Kiran Ningurkar presents the importance of food, clothes and shelter in human life, in shortest time. The focus of this film is on the condition in which poor people live in villages, especially during monsoon. Ashish Ningurkar has written the script of this film besides direction; while the cinematography is by Siddesh Dalvi.
Chinar Mahesh to return with Online Live Concert
During the lock down period many artistes entertained their fans performing online shows. Some of them started their online YouTube programmes, while others became part of some chain to entertain people on social media. Recently, ‘Hou De Viral’ entertainment offered Rohan-Rohan Online Live in Concert which was anchored by Spruha Joshi.
Now, ‘Hou De Viral’ Producer Kunal Herkal will be presenting Chinar Mahesh Online Live in Concert observing the social distancing norms. Many Marathi celebrities will be joining this concert. Speaking about their Online Concert, the organisers said , “When everything is being tried online to entertain the people, why not try this kind of concert, where the music directors will operate from their studio, while others will participate in their show online.”
‘Taleem 2′ teaser Poster unveiled on social media
On the occasion of Independence day Karunakavi Creations and director Nitin Rokade have unveiled motion poster of their forthcoming Marathi film ‘Taleem 2′ on social media. Nitin Rokade, who is a well known editing expert of Hindi and Marathi films had earlier directed the film ‘Taleem’ which was set on the backdrop of the popular Indian sport Kusti ( Wrestling).Now, with this ‘Kusti 2 (Taleem 2)’ film he will be presenting the race for medals which is a challenge before our country.
The story of this film is written by Nitin Rokade himself, while the screenplay is by Sandip Kumar Roy, Madhulita Das along with Nitin Rokade. Dialogues are by Jai Atre and Dr. Arun Mirajkar, while Cinematography will be handled by Farukh Khan. Music to be composed by Praful- Swapnil duo while sound will be designed by B.R. Navin. The film stars Abhijit Shwetchandra , Diksha S., Prashant Mohite, Arjun Kusambi, Mahesh Patil and Vishnu Joshilkar in important roles.
मराठी चित्रपट ‘विकून टाक’ चा वर्ल्ड टेलिव्हिजन प्रिमियर
सोनी मराठी वाहिनी प्रेक्षकांच्या मनोरंजनासाठी नेहमीच काहीतरी नवीन घेऊन येते. १६ ऑगस्टला सोनी मराठी वाहिनीवर ‘विकून टाक’ या विनोदी चित्रपटाचा वर्ल्ड टेलिव्हिजन प्रिमियर होणार आहे. विनोदातून सामाजिक संदेश देण्याचा प्रयत्न या चित्रपटातून केला आहे. शिवराज वायचळ, रोहित माने, राधा सागर, समीर चौघुले, ऋजुता देशमुख, हृषीकेश जोशी, जयवंत वाडकर, वर्षा दांदले आणि चंकी पांडे यांच्या मुख्य भूमिका या चित्रपटात आहेत.
‘विकून टाक’ या चित्रपटात चंकी पांडे यांची एक विनोदी भूमिका असून ते एका शेखची व्यक्तिरेखा साकारत आहेत. गेली अनेक वर्षं चंकी पांडे यांनी हिंदी चित्रपटसृष्टीत विविध व्यक्तिरेखा साकारून नावलौकिक मिळवला आहे. चंकी पांडे यांचा हा पहिलाच मराठी चित्रपट आहे.

Script for ‘Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar’ film gets ready
Producers Balasaheb Karnavar Patil and Suryakant Kadakane and director Dilip Bhosale under the banner of Punyashlok Productions are getting ready to launch their bilingual film ‘Punyashlok Ahilyadevi’ in Marathi and Hindi with full preparation. The makers had engaged 20 experts from writing, literature and technical field for research and script writing work. Now, with the help of these 20 experts Dr. Murhari Sopanrao Kele has completed the script work in record time, despite the lock-down period.
It may be recalled that Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar’s history is not known to many people across the world and therefore an effort is being made by the film makers to spread this history through this film. According to Dr. Kele every member of the team paid attention on every important aspect in the life of this intelligent and highly respected noble sardar of the Maratha Empire in 18th century. Even today, she is considered as an ideal example of a perfect administrator. And therefore, there is a lot of curiosity among the film lovers about this film.

‘Singing Star’ on Sony Marathi from 21st August
Each one of us have one song or the other on our lips. Sony Marathi have picked up such singers who are not professional singers but they love to sing songs. So, from 21st August they have decided to offer a platform to such selected singers, who will try to connect themselves with the audience through their singing performance. Young glamorous actress Ruta Durgule will anchor this show
Prominent personalities like multi talented Prashant Damle, National award winning singer Bela Shende and lyricist and singer Dr. Salil Kulkarni will be the judges for this show. To train these participants some experts from the field of music were engaged and they were paired along with the singer to offer some variety through this show. This will be the first reality singing show of Sony Marathi and therefore they are all set to make it a grand success from 21st August at 9 pm .
‘Zombivli’ directed by Aditya Sarpotdar launched with muhurat
At a time with certain restrictions on shootings of films, Marathi film industry seems to have taken up the challenge. Yoodle Films who are making a film ‘Zombivali’ presented by SaRe Ga Ma is being directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, who had earlier directed successful films like ‘Classmates’, ‘Mauli’ and ‘Faster Fene’. Recently, the muhurat of this film was performed with its first poster launch. ‘Zombivli’ which connects with Dombivali known for its Zombie connection, will be a Zom Com film.
So, the film promises Horror Comedy , which is new to Marathi cinema. Shooting of this film will soon begin at Latur and the film stars Youths like Amey Wagh, Lalit Prabhakar and Vaidehi Parshurami in lead roles. The film be targeted on youth viewers. With Lawrence D’Cunha as DOPthe music will be composed by AV Praful Chandra. Sainath Gunwad, Siddhesh Purkar, Mahesh Iyer, Yogesh Joshi have written the story of this film. The makers of this film plan to release this film next year i.e. 2021.
New Film ‘Phulrani’ inspired by George Bernard Shaw’s ‘Pygmalion’
We are all aware that based on renowned playwright George Bernanrd Shaw’s ‘Pygmilion’ an English musical film ‘My Fair Lady’ was made in 1964. We also saw a Marathi drama ‘Ti Phulrani’ starring Bhakti Barve and Satish Dubhashi in 70s. And now, director Vishwas Joshi will be presenting a film ‘Phulrani’ for Marathi film lovers. Vishwas has written the script along with Guru Thakur for this film which is inspired by ‘Pygmilion’.
Though the names of the star cast hasn’t been revealed, the director is confident that the subject of his film would appeal to Marathi film lovers. The name of the film has been inspired by Famous poet Balkavi’s poem ‘Phulrani’. And this poem will be reconstructed by Nilesh Moharir for this film. Fincraft Media and Entertainment who will be presenting this film propose to start the shooting of this film by end of this year and plan to release the film in 2021. Earlier Vishwas Joshi had presented the films like ‘Natasamrat‘, ‘What’s app Lagna’ and ‘Ghe Double’ which is ready for release.
