‘Choricha Mamla’ to be made in five different languages

Marathi film ‘Choricha Mamla’ released early this year, has received a very good response. Now, the good news for writer –director Priyadarshan Jadhav is that this film will be produced in five different languages, namely, Hindi, Kannada, Malyalam, Telugu and Tamil . And, this itself is a big news for the producers of this film Sudhakar Omale, Aakash Pendharkar,Sachin Narkar, Vikas Pawar, Smita Omale and presenters Everest Entertainment.
Another good news is that the film makers are getting ready with ‘Choricha Mamla – 2′ which will have the same team . Recently, Priyadarshan Jadhav the writer – director of the film gave a clear indication of this news, releasing a group photo of all these lead artistes. However, it remains to be seen, whether other artistes will also be added in this team.
‘Whistle Blowing Suit’ first look unveiled
Our Marathi film makers have always been trying new experiments through their films. Now, Writer- director Dyaneshwar Margajj is all set to offer something unique through his forthcoming Marathi film ‘Whistle Blowing Suit’, first look of which was unveiled recently. Made under his home production banner ‘Aai Shri Bhagvatidevi Productions’, this film presents various emotions of a young girl. The film maker has worked very hard for five long years on research, scripting and story, besides shooting and post production work which involves technology and realistic locations.

Hindi serial ‘Nok jhok’ fame child artiste who won the hearts of home viewers, prior to performing in other serials and dramas, Vishakha Kashalkar having lead role in this film. Director Dyaneshwar Margajj had earlier made popular serials like ‘Ek Vada Zapatlela’and ‘Nivdung’, while his other films like ‘Sankasur’ and ‘Rajbhasha’ are under production. ’Whistle Blowing Suit’ is his dream project and therefore, there is a lot of curiosity about this film.
‘Lullaby’ of Chhatrapati Shivaji’s era released on Rajashree Marathi

We are all aware of the importance of ‘lullaby’ during the era of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Those days, all Mothers used to sing ‘lullaby’ for their little babies, to encourage them to be part of the force fighting for self government of Independent India. Do Re – Do productions have produced one such video of ‘lullaby’ to take us all down memory lane into the history. The inspiration has obviously come from the Rajamata Jijaoo and the way she encouraged her son Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to fight for self government.
In this lullaby actress Prajakta Mali plays the inspiring and strict mother , on whom this lullaby has been pictured, while her little son is played by Harak Bharatiya. This period lullaby has been written and directed by Anagha Kakade, while Nupura Niphadkar has rendered this lullaby in her voice, besides composing music. Cinematography is by Ashwin Nambiar while editing is by Vajang Aafale. Costumes are designed by Harshita Atre and Shreya Daflapurkar for this seven and half minute video.
‘Aarsaa’ a short film on Cancer awareness released on OTT platform

Due to ongoing lockdown restrictions, there is a big demand for films on OTT platform. Among these films on variety of subjects, there are many short films too. Recently, one such film ‘Aarsa’ on social issue written by Ashish Ningurkar has been released on ‘Hungama Play’ OTT platform. This film presents the story of a girl, whose mother is suffering from Cancer. The girl promises her mother to look after her. While fulfilling her promise, her boyfriend deserts her.
Through this film there is a very good message delivered, comparing our life with a mirror. And questioning what if there were no mirrors in this world? ‘If our eyes were clean and clear, one would have peeped into them’ is the message the film offers. The film is directed by Ganesh Modak and edited by Harshad Vaiti. Cinematography is by Yogesh Andhare and this film stars Shweta Pagar, Chaitra Bhujbal, Sanket Kashyap, Geetanjali Kambli, Vaishnavi Velapure & Dr. Smita kasar.
Teaser of ‘Ajooni’ launched on social media

Till now, Marathi film makers have offered a variety of subjects but very few have dealt with Sc Fi films. Now, forthcoming Marathi film ‘Ajooni’ has an interesting Sc-Fi subject to offer, presenting people from other planet. Will it be on the lines of ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ or ‘Aliens’ style of Hollywood films, one never knows. But, one thing is certain that this film has a lot of curiosity about its subject.
Having earlier directed films like ‘Sangharshyatra’ and ‘Shivya’, this is Sakar Raut‘s new film through which he handles a unique theme in Marathi cinema. Produced by Arth Studios and Sara Motion Pictures, the teaser of this film was launched recently on social media. However, Marathi film lovers are still curious to know, as to who will be playing the person from other planet. The film stars Piyush Ranade, Pranav Raorane, Shweta Vengurlekar, Pratik Deshmukh in lead roles.
Savaniee Ravindrra ‘Vande Ganapatim’ song receives overwhelming response

Popular Marathi singer Savaniee Ravindrra who has rendered songs in other six languages besides Marathi, recently presented her ‘Vande Ganapatim’ song in Sanskrit, has received overwhelming response from music lovers. Savanee who has graduated with Sanskrit specialisation, was already looking for an opportunity to sing in Sanskrit language and her wish has been fulfilled through this song.
According to Savanee, this bandish which has Hindustani classical music touch was originally rendered by my mother’s Guru Veena Sahasrabudhe. “Since my childhood days, I have been attracted towards this composition of Pt. Kashinath Bodas. Now, my friend R.Sanjay has given this bandish a touch of Karnataki classical touch to present this lovely devotional song. I am glad that the music lovers have liked it.” says Savanee.
This song produced by Dr. Ashish Dhande and presented by Times Music Spirituals has been captured on camera by Shreyas Shinde, with Aditi Dravid adding flavour with her Bharat Natyam dance.
Planet Marathi is getting ready with 10 new web series on their OTT platform
During the past few months due to lockdown restrictions , no new Marathi TV serials could be released on small screen. At the same time no Marathi film could see its release in theatres, due to their closure. Though some Hindi films and Web series were released on OTT platforms, we haven’t seen much Marathi content during this period on OTT platform. The reason is simple. Actually, Marathi content didn’t have their own platform and had to depend on others.

But now, Planet Marathi is all set to offer bagful of entertainment through their own OTT platform with 10 new web series and 850 hours of entertainment for little children. The 10 web series will present top directors and artistes. Moreover, in near future more and more Marathi content will be arranged in the form of web series and shot films. According to Producer Akshay Bardapurkar, actor Pushkar Shrotri and music arranger Aditya Oak from Planet Marathi the home viewers will be happy with this offering from them including the first day first show in the form of Digital theatre, which will be operational from December 2020.
‘Acappella Aradhana’ offering for Bappa from Swaroop and Vaishali

Though the celebrations during this Ganapati festival are a low key affair, the music and enthusiasm of devotees is the same from their respective homes. To double their happiness, Singers Swaroop Bhalwankar and Vaishali Samant have offered their music video ‘Acappella Aradhana’ in honour of Ganapati Bappa.
With the wordings ‘Kiti Kiti Anand Re… Jhala Bappa’ , this song has 85 different beats. The highlight of this music video is the beat of Dholak played orally. Singer Bhalwankar feels that with this offering through the song, he hopes the danger of Corona will be kept away. The video is presented by Swarshine Studio and Anera Entertainment productions . Written by Smita Kabra and Manvel Gaikwad the song has been composed on the music of Swaroop Bhalwankar and Umesh Raorane, while the other singers in this video along with Swaroop and Vaishali are, Smita Kabra, Sarisha Kabra and Vaishnavi Borulkar. ‘Swarajya Janani Jijamata’ serial set for a new turn
We are all aware that the ongoing Marathi TV serial ‘Swarajya Janani Jijamata’ has presented the strong character of Rajmata Jijau in the best possible manner. While displaying her emotional attachment towards her family members , the serial has also shown her ability of being a perfect administrator. No wonder, this serial has found very good viewership from all age groups.

Now, this serial is all set to take a new turn, while showing the skills of Rajmata Jijau while handling the most crucial decisions as an administrator while in Pune. Moreover, in the coming episode the serial will be presenting the character of another important character of Dadoji Konddev in the history. The makers of the serial have stated that his character will be presented according to the history facts and will be shown in special episodes to be telecast from 28th August at 8.30 pm on Sony Marathi.
Poster of new web series ‘Krantisurya Rajguru’ unveiled
4th August is the 113th birth anniversary of great freedom fighter Krantiveer Rajguru. On this occasion, poster of new web series on his life suitably titled ‘Krantisurya Rajguru – Ek Dhagdhagti Sangharshakatha’ was unveiled. The ceremony took place on behalf of Kavya Dream Movies , in presence of writer Ashish Ningurkar, Production team members Pratish Sonavane, Ankush Gabhale and Mohammed Bilal. Satyasheel and Harshavardhan Rajguru, the grandsons of Krantiveer Rajguru have stated that the concept of this web series is by Vilas Rajguru, while Siddhesh Rajguru is the creative director.

The reason for making this web series and releasing it on OTT platform is to present the sacrifice of such great freedom fighters of India before the new generation. According to the makers, this will be a biggest tribute to this Pune born freedom fighter Shivram Hari Rajguru. This web series will show how this youngster jumped into India’s freedom movement. Many well known names like Ganesh Mayekar, Jairaj Nair, Shweta Pagar, Pradeep Kadu, Ajit Vasant Pawar, Abhishek Lagas, Yogesh Andhare, Siddhesh Dalvi, Pratish Sonavane, Swarup Kasar, Anurag Ningurkar, Anuj Gosavi, Kavya Ningurkar, Ashok Kundap,Kiran Ningurkar, Swapnil Nimbalkar, Kalyani Bharambe, Sunil Jadhav and Vaishnavi Rajguru are associated as artistes and members of technical team.
