Teaser of ‘ManaChe Shlok’ released
After unveiling the poster of this film, the makers of ‘Manache Shlok’ have now released the teaser of their much awaited film on social media. The teaser clearly shows conflict between Manva and Shlok on their ongoing relationship. Manva is seen bold and aggressive in her approach, while Shlok is seen on defensive approach.
This film stars Mrunmayee Deshpande, Rahul Pethe, Pushkaraj Chirputkar, Suvrat Joshi, Siddharth Menon, Harish Dudhade and Karan Parab in lead roles. Presented by Nitin Vaidya and produced by Shreyas Jadhav and Sanjay Davara this film written and directed by Mrunmayee Deshpande . This film will be released on 10th October 2025.

The theme of ‘Manache Shlok’ is about our life which itself is a journey. And when this emotion filled journey finds proper company of right people that too in the company of mountains, it becomes more memorable. The motion poster of this film, released recently, clearly shows a couple Shlok and Manva, taking on the journey towards montains, thus keeping the film lovers guessing whether their love would flourish during this unusual journey?
In short, the story follows the journey of these two independent individuals, as they navigate modern love, family pressures, and societal expectations surrounding marriage.
‘ManaChe Shlok’ presents Mrunmayee Deshpande opposite six heroes
Nowdays, there are more and more Marathi films being announced with quality subjects. One such film ‘ManaChe Shlok’ which has been announced recently, will be released on 1st August 2025. This film is being produced by Ganraj Studios, Sanjay Davra and Nitin Vaidya. The video of this film which was also released on social media, is also inviting the attention of film lovers, as this door has been painted half red and half blue.
The highlight of this film is that it is written and directed by Mrunmayee Deshpande and she plays the lead role in this film, opposite six heroes, who are played by Rahul Pethe, Pushkaraj Chirputkar, Suvrat Joshi, Siddharth Menon, Harisg Dudhade and Karan Parab. It may be recalled that in the past, Mrunmayee had written and directed a Marathi film ‘Mann Fakira’.
Mrunmayee says that the story of this film had come to her mind and she has now got an opportunity to present it through this film.

Mrunmayee Deshpande and Sandeep Khare to present ‘Nal Damayanti’ audio drama
With the rising popularity of Audio Book format, Storytel have produced an ‘Nul Damayanti’ which is based on renowned writer Anand Neelkanthan’s novel ‘Nul Damayanti’. This audio drama will be released in 9 Indian languages at a time. The Marathi version of this audio drama is presented in the voice of Mrunmayee Deshpande and Sandeep Khare.
Anand Neelkanthan, who has written many books is known for his writing for ‘Bahubali’ , ‘Asur- Tale of Vanquished’ on Netflix, ‘Siya Ke Raam’ ( Star Plus), Chakravartin Ashok Samrat ( Colors), ‘Hanuman’ ‘Sarfarosh ( Sony TV) etc. This is the first time, he has written an audio drama in the form of ‘Nul Damayanti’. New live- in relationship between one woman and two men on Marathi screen
Polyamory is the practice of intimate relationships with more than one partner, with the informed consent of all partners involved. This concept is practiced in western countries. So, why not show it in our Marathi cinema, seems to be the stand of makers of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Soppa Nasta Kahi’. They are also inspired by Draupadi in Mahabharat who had five husbands. So, their modern day Draupadi who is the leading lady of this film, lives with two men. Mrunmayee Deshpande plays the modern day Draupadi in this film, with Shashank Ketkar and Abhijeet Khandkekar playing the two men in her life. The film is directed by Mayuresh Joshi.
Recently, the trailer of this film was released on social media. And we find two men in the life of actress Mrunmayee Deshpande whom we find living with these two men. ‘Manache Shlok’ is the first Marathi film to be shot after relaxation in lockdown
The longest lock down in Maharashtra had brought to halt the film industry , television industry and the shootings of web series, along with other industries. But now, due to relaxations offered by the government to reopen some of the industries with conditions, the shootings of films have begun. Ganaraj Associates and Sanjay Dawra Films, which had almost completed the shooting of their forthcoming Marathi film ‘Manache Shlok’ had just two days shooting left. Now, after the relaxation, director Mrunmayee Deshpande and her team completed this remaining shooting of this film.
This film stars Mrunmayee Deshpande and Rahul Pethe in the lead. And the cinematography is by Abhijit Abdhe. According to producers of this film Shreyas Jadhav and Sanjay Dawra, they began the shooting of remaining parts, when some relaxations were announced . But this time they had come with new planning and care, as they had to keep in mind the social distancing norms and minimum workforce during the shooting besides sanitization etc. So, one technician had to do the work of 3 people. “But, it was challenging and we have now finished the task in two days.” said the producers.
Earlier their productions had offered films like ‘Online Binline’, ‘Baghtos Kaay Mujara Kar’ and ‘Mee Pan Sachin’.

Popular Marathi Actress Mrunmayee Pratibha Deshpande who has turned writer- director through latest released Marathi film ‘Mann Fakiraa’ clearly displays her creativity as a director through this film by handling the most important subject of “marriage” in her own style. As a teenager Mrunmayee has had a good experience of writing and directing experimental plays at competitive level, but directing a film was a big challenge before her and she has passed this test.
The film revolves around a newly married couple Riya ( Sayali Sanjeev) and Bhushan (Suvrat Joshi) who come together through arranged marriage. Both of them have had relationship with their respective partners, but failed to convert that relationship into marriage. While Bhushan was in relationship with Mahi( Anjali Patil) during his trip to London , Riya was in love with Nachiket( Ankit Mohan) .
On the first night of their marriage, during their first sexual intercourse, in excitement Bhushan utters the name of Mahi. And this is enough for Riya to walk out of his house next morning. Four days later she insists on meeting Bhushan , when she asks for explanation about Bhushan’s relationship with Mahi. At the same time she demands divorce. She however tells Bhushan that even though she had relationship with her friend Nachiket, she has totally forgotten him as there was no contact with him after he left for London. After verbal fights, both decide to make their families happy for the time being , by announcing that they were proceeding for honeymoon to London. Actually, both decide to meet their respective lovers who coincidentally live in London.
After landing in London their new journey begins in different directions. What they experience and how it benefits both of them, is what writer- director Mrunmayee Deshpande has cleverly presented through this film through her own perspective. In an interesting screenplay she has found good help from DOP Abhijit Abde, who has coordinated very well using variety of shots to make this subject more appealing. Many scenes of this film have been shot at beautiful locations of London, which also gives a different look to this film.
The best part of this film are the performances of the four lead artistes, namely Suvrat Joshi, Sayali Sanjeev, Anjali Patil and Ankit Mohan. More impressive among them is Anjali Patil, who steals the show in every scene she is part of and she sports different hairstyles, well suited to a typical NRI and independent type of happy go lucky girl. The actress has already made her impression in Bollywood and it will not be surprising if she invites all the attention at international level with her dusky complexion and expressive eyes. Perfect costumes designed by Sachin Lovlekar ,suitable music by Soumil and Siddharth , ideal sound design by Ganesh Phuke, good editing by Pravin Jahagirdar and Gayatri Shinde’s art help to make this film more presentable. Certainly a worth watch film for all sensible film lovers.
Mrunmayee and ‘Mann Fakira’ stars begin their film’s promotion on roads
Actress turned director Mrunmayee Deshpande and her lead stars of the film ‘Mann Fakira’ have started the promotion of their film on Mumbai and Pune roads by carrying the banners to make an appeal to film lovers not to miss their film. Their film is all set to release on 6th March. So, this kind of promotion is helping them to closely interact with the prospective audience . And the film lovers have also responded them positively.
Now, how it will help them invite them to cinema theatres, it remains to be seen. The locations selected for this road show by the artistes were Vile Parle and Andheri areas in Mumbai and Good Luck hotel and Deccan Gymkhana in Pune. Besides Suvrat Joshi and Sayali Sanjeev the film also stars Anjali Patil and Ankit Mohan.
