New Film ‘Cup Bashi’ to present Pooja Sawant with Rishi Manohar
Produced by Kalpak Sadanand Joshi and directed by Vaibhav Chinchalkar, new Marathi film ‘Cup Bashi’ will present renowned actress Pooja Sawant with Rishi Manohar as a fresh pair through this film. According to the makers, this will be an entertaining film and presently shooting of this film is in progress in Mumbai.

As a producer this is the first film of Kalpak Joshi; but his father Sadanand Joshi was associated with Marathi film industry in the past; having produced 1996 film ‘Putravati’ for which he had written the story, screenplay and lyrics. This film had won top 14 awards at the state and national level. With Nirmiti Sawant playing an important role in this film, there are big hopes from this film.
‘Ambat Shaukeen’ Poster launched

Produced by Hexvision Entertainment, SS & KL Brothers Productions, Labros Entertainment, and Big Brain Productions and written & directed by Nikhil Vaidigar the poster of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Ambat Shaukeen’ was launched recently. The poster shows three friends played by Nikhil Wairagar, Akshay Tanksale, and Kiran Gaikwad and behind them is actress Pooja Sawant, holding all of them with a string.
This film is expected entertain the audience offering comedy, by a big team of artistes, besides the four artistes mentioned above, comprising of Prarthana Behre, Bhau Kadam, Parth Bhalerao, Abhijit Khandkekar, Monalisa Bagal, Amey Wagh, Chinmay Sant, Rahul Magdum, Shrikant Yadav, Aashay Kulkarni, Shubhankar Ekbote, Gautami Patil, Ramesh pardeshi, Manini Durge, Devendra Gaikwad, Aakash jadhav, Aaryak Pathak, Vinod Khedekar, Chetan Raikar .
Screenplay and dialogues of this film are written by Akshay Tanksale & Amit Bendre. The film will be released on 13th June 2025.
‘Ambat Shaukeen’ ready for release on 13th June
With the release of its trailer recently, forthcoming Marathi film ‘Ambat Shaukeen’ is now getting ready for release on 13th June 2025. ‘Jhilmil’ song unveils the theme of ‘Musafiraa’
Known for its dramatic landscape comprising of freshwater lakes surrounded by mountains. This picturesque location is captured by forthcoming Marathi film ‘Musafiraa’. After releasing two songs from this film, now the third song titled ‘Jhilmil…’ has been released by the makers of this film, which presents the lead artistes Pushkar Jog, Pooja Sawant, Pushkaraj Chirputkar, Smruti Sinha and Disha Pardeshi together displaying their wonderful boding of friendship, while exploring the natural beauty of this wonderful place.

Abhishek Gunaji to make his debut as a director – Ravan Calling

Abhishek Gunaji son of renowned Marathi & Bollywood actor Milind Gunaji is making his debut as a director through forthcoming Marathi film ‘Ravan Calling’. Recently, muhurat of this film was performed with first clap for muhurat shot given by Amit Raj Thackeray. Abhishek Gunaji will be directing this film along with Sandeep Bankeshwar and the screenplay of this film is written by Abhishek Gunaji, Sandeep Bankeshwar and Sandeep Dandavate. Additional screenplay and dialogues are by Sachin Darekar.

Produced by Shree Gajanan Productions, this film stars Sachit Patil, Pooja Sawant, Vandana Gupte, Gaurav Ghatnekar, Ravi Kale, Bipin Nadkarni, Raju Shirsatkar ,Sonali Kulkarni and Milind Gunaji in lead roles. Speaking about this film director Abhishek Gunaji says, “This is my first independent film as a director, Earlier I had assisted Satish Rajwade for his film. Since my name is associated with two big names in this industry, I am working on this project with full responsibility and shall give my 100%.” The shooting of this film has started in Mumbai and very soon this film will be released.

‘Aale Re Poshter Boyz 2’s Teaser poster released in Plaza theatre

In 2014, ‘Poshter Boyz’, which was released. This movie literally blew up the box office and became a super hit.
Due to this love of the audience, now these boys are going to meet the audience once again in a new form in a new way. The grand poster of the film was launched in Plaza Cinema , Dadar area of Mumbai amid the sound of drums. A 25 feet long poster of the film was unveiled on this occasion. The whole area of Dadar was crowded at this time.

‘Bali’ – A suspense filled thriller under the cover of horror
Shrikant Sathe ( Swwapnil Joshi) a widower takes his seven year old son Mandar ( Samarth Jadhav) to a hospital , after his son faints on the cricket ground during a match. At this hospital, during his medical diagnosis, Mandar comes across Bhaskar a boy of his age, who is undergoing treatment for cancer. It is at this place Mandar learns about a mystery woman Elizabeth, from Bhaskar. Like Bhaskar, Mandar also starts believing that Elizabeth who lives in the next old building in the hospital campus, would only cure his ailment.

Mandar reveals the secret of Elizabeth to his father and insists that he should meet her. To make his son happy, Shrikant goes in search of Elizabeth in the adjacent building and discovers something strange. In the meanwhile Dr. Alisha Shenoy ( Pooja Sawant) who attends Mandar in the hospital, in absence of her ailing father, gets ready for Mandar’s operation. It is at this stage, Shrikant discovers the mystery behind Elizabeth and involvement of people in her case.
‘Bali’ (बळी) as the name suggests, does succeed in presenting a gripping screenplay, but there are few flaws in the film. However, the efforts taken by director Vishal Furia to present this suspense filled thriller under the cover of horror, are worth appreciating. Above all, the performances by Swwapnil, Pooja and little Samarth certainly add extra strength to this film with the support of good cinematography by Rajan Sohani and suitable background music by Rajan Patnail and Brince Bora.

For a change, ‘Bali’ is a worth watch film, provided you are not watching this film with very high expectations from this director. Produced by Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartik Nishandar this film Is released on Amazon Prime Video.
‘Bhetali Tu Punha 2′ announced with new director Jayant Pawar

On 28th July ‘Bhetali Tu Punha’ completed four years of its release. On this occasion, the producers of this film Girish Parab, Aakash Pendharkar, Sachin Narkar and Vikas Pawar have announced on social media the sequel of this film ‘Bhetali Tu Punha 2′ with new director Jayant Pawar. Actor Vaibhav Tatwavadi and actress Pooja Sawant will be seen together once again in this sequel.

As a director Jayant Pawar had directed many TV serials but in films he will be making his debut as a director through this film. The previous film was known for excellent performances by the lead pair and supporting artistes besides good music and best technical presentation. Now, the Marathi film lovers will be keen to know the progress of the love story of this couple . But, they will have to wait for some time, till the release date is announced.
Pooja Sawant to play a doctor in much-awaited horror film ‘Bali’

Gorgeous Marathi actress Pooja Sawant is all set to surprise her fans and admirers in the forthcoming horror Marathi film ‘Bali’. Pooja is playing a doctor in this film, which is eagerly awaited by the audience . ‘Bali’ (बळी) is Produced by Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartik D Nishandar of GSEAMS is all set to release on April 16. Directed by Vishal Furia, the film features Marathi superstar Swwapnil Joshi in key role.
Known for her rom-coms and dramatic films, Pooja Sawant has been featured against one of the most successful actors from the Marathi film industry Swwapnil Joshi. Incidentally, ‘Bali’ is Pooja’s second film with director Vishal Furia after ‘Lapachhapi’ (read review) , which was applauded by audience and critics as well. The poster of this film was released recently, with Pooja grabbing it entirely with a stethoscope in her hand.

Speaking about her role in ‘Bali’ , Pooja says, “Yes, I am a part of Vishal’s second Marathi film as well. It is always great to work with a director who has a clear vision and knows what he is upto, perfectly well. Being part of the film is icing on the cake as I am sharing the screen with Swwapnil Joshi for the first time. I always wanted to work with Swwapnil, one of the most talented actors from the industry. Like his first successful thriller Lapachhapi, Vishal has done a fabulous job as a director.
