Biopic on the Life Journey of ‘Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj’ in 3 D format
Known for being the land of great sants, Maharashtra, has preserved the heritage of these sants. The spiritual words of the great sants of the Warkari sect, have already impressed the minds of foreign citizens as well. On one hand millions of Varkaris are preserving the teachings of sants through Vari, on the other hand many foreign citizens are coming and living in India to study the literature and thoughts of these great sants. Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj is one of them. Known as Mauli all over the world, the story of this Mauli will soon come before the audience in 3D with the use of today’s advanced technology.

Producer Ajay Thakur recently announced his upcoming Marathi film ‘Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj’ under the banner of V. Patke Films. Through this biopic, Mauli’s life journey will be presented to the audience through 3D format. Director Sameer Asha Patil, known for making films on diverse subjects, will be directing this film. According to the makers , this film will be featuring leading actors of Marathi. The story-screenplay of this film is written by Ajay Thakur and Sameer Asha Patil. Producer Ajay Thakur has so far produced films like ‘Taani’, ‘Phuntroo’, ‘Takatak’, ‘Darling’ while Sameer Asha Patil has also successfully directed films like ‘Chaurya’, ‘Yantam’, ‘Wagherya’, ‘Darling’.
Nikhil Chavan is also in love with ‘Darling’
Last time we had covered the news on Prathamesh Parab returning to Marathi films with his new film ‘Darling’. But now, we understand that Nikhil Chavan is also in love with ‘Darling’, the title role played by Ritika Shrotri. It may be recalled that like Prathamesh, Nikhil is also a versatile all round actor and is likely to make his presence felt through this important film directed by Sameer Asha Patil.

With this trio of youngsters, it is expected that they will add to the overall excitement in the film. Besides the fact that the leading star pair of Prathamesh Parab and Ritika Shrotri will be seen in the film ‘Darling’ , excitement is also mounting as to what kind of a role is Nikhil exactly playing in this film, which is scheduled to release all over Maharashtra next year i.e. on January 7, 2021.
Prathamesh Parab to return with ‘Darling’

In this film Prathamesh will be seen in a brand new avatar . Through his earlier films he has impressed with his memorable characters like Dagadu and Thokya. And therefore there will be big expectations from him in this film too. His ‘Takatak’ fame actress Ritika Shrotri will be seen opposite him in title role of ‘Darling’. The film is directed by Sameer Asha Patil with music by Chinar Mahesh.

Their next film together ‘Darling’ is an effort to create something that is out of the box and win every one’s hearts. That’s what both of them have claimed. The motion poster of this film was unveiled recently on social media.
Amit Dhupe, Ajay Thakur, V.J. Shalaka and Nikhil Khajindar have produced the film ‘Darling’ under the banner of 7 Horse Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., V. Patke Films and Kathakar Motion Pictures. The names of the cast and credits of the film have not been announced yet . However, looking at the unique poster of the film, there is big hope that this time director Sameer Asha Patil will offering a pleasant surprise with not only his subject but also the star cast in his film. Sameer Asha Patil has promised that very soon he will make announcement about the star cast of the film as well as the technical crew . But, the date of release of this film has been announced as 12 th June .

After ‘Chaurya’ Sameer Asha Patil to direct film ‘Phurrr’
Eeffronn Entertainment headed by Mr. Kushal and Mr. Anirudh Singh are entering into Marathi film industry with their film titled ‘Phurrr’, which will be a content driven film by Sameer Asha Patil, after making his debut as a director through previous film ‘Chaurya’. Speaking about their film, producer Kushal said “Entertainment has two geners , one is pure entertainment and other is thought provoking entertainment which makes the audiences to think.”
While contemplating their first venture, they were searching for a director who has his own unique, creative and entertaining style of presentation on screen. Accordingly they met Sameer. During narration it was felt the Story of ‘Phurrr’ is not regular ‘run of the mill’ type. The story is written by Mehul Agaja. Sameer has a good grasp and vision which he proved already. That’s why we thought of debuting into Mararthi feature film with Sameer as his fourth Marathi Film. The film will be on floor soon.
‘Chaurya’ receives appreciation from Government prior to its release
Some films remain in news prior to their release, for offering something different to the audience. Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Chaurya‘ will be released in ‘Accessibility Format’, which is happening for the first time in India. This format of film, also enables the Blind and deaf people to enjoy the film. The makers of this film have already received an appreciation letter from Department of Empowerment of persons with Disabilities ( DEPwD) , Government of India.
‘Chaurya‘ which will be released on 5th August 2016, is produced by Nilesh Navalakha, Vivek Kajaria & Aswini Patil, is directed by Sameer Patil, who has himself written the story of this film. Some of the main characters in the film have used the masks of some popular Bollywood artistes; but that was the need of the script, according to the makers of this film. They have also thanked Aashay Sahasrabuddhe , for his technical assistance, to present this film in accessibility format.

Marathi film makers have always been in the forefront right from the days of late Dadasaheb Phalke. In the recent past, we saw tremendous progress made by our Marathi film makers attempting something new, which were introduced for the first time in Indian cinema. Now, producers Nilesh Navalakha,Vivek Kajaria, Ashwini Patil and director Sameer Asha Patil will be offering their forthcoming Marathi film ‘Chaurya‘ in accessible format, for the first time in India. Accessible format will enable the visually and hearing impaired to enjoy the film more.
On Monday evening music of this film was released in presence of producers, director, music director Mayuresh Kelkar, lyricist Shamrao Dhamankar, Vishnu Thore, Sameer Asha Patil, artistes Milind Shinde, Ganesh Yadav, Digvijay Rohidas, newcomer Tirtha Murbadkar & Shruti Kulkarni. Lead actor Kishore Kadam could not make it for this event, as he was bust shooting for his another film. Visually impaired girls from a special school, along with their principal released the music of this film.
The film ‘Chaurya‘ which is supposed to be a suspense filled thriller is set on the backdrop of Shani Shingnapur; but has also been shot at Chambal .Posters of the film ‘Chaurya‘, with the artistes wearing masks of popular Bollywood actors like Amitabh Bachchan , Sridevi, Amrish Puri & Rajnikant were prominently displayed at the venue. When the makers were asked, about the possibility of these artistes objecting to their photos on the posters of the film, Producer Nilesh Navalakha stated that there was nothing wrong in it, as the artistes of this film are just wearing their masks. Now, a Marathi film ‘Chaurya’ on Shani Shingnapur temple controversy
At the beginning of this year, we saw the release of Marathi film ‘Lord of Shinganapur‘ which was about the faith many people have in this Lord, whose temple is based in Shinganapur. Few months back, we also noticed a controversy over women not allowed inside the inner sanctum of the Shani Shinganapur temple . Inspired by this controversy, forthcoming Marathi film ‘Chaurya‘ will present its story, to invite the attention of film lovers. The film is now all set to release on 5th August 2016.
