१७ व्या थर्ड आय आशियाई चित्रपट महोत्सवाचे आयोजन
१७ वा थर्ड आय आशियाई चित्रपट महोत्सव हा भारतातील एकमेव आशियाई चित्रपट महोत्सव आहे. शुक्रवार दिनांक १४ डिसेंबर ला सिटीलाईट सिनेमा मुंबई येथे अनेक मान्यवरांच्या उपस्थिती मध्ये १७ व्या थर्ड आय आशियाई चित्रपट महोत्सवाचे भव्य उदघाटन झाले. या उदघाटनाला प्रमुख पाहुण्या म्हणून मराठी चित्रपट अभिनेत्री आणि दिग्दर्शिका मृणाल कुलकर्णी, आशियाई चित्रपट महोत्सवाचे अध्यक्ष श्री. किरण शांताराम, आशियाई चित्रपट महोत्सवाचे डायरेक्टर श्री.सुधीर नांदगावकर, प्रभात चे सचिव श्री संतोष पाठारे , दिग्दर्शक सुनील सुखथनकर आणि फेडरेशन ऑफ फिल्म सोसायटी इंडियाचे उपाध्यक्ष श्री. प्रेमेंद्र मुझुमदार ही मंडळी उपस्थित होती. ‘वेलकम होम‘ या मराठी चित्रपटाने महोत्सवाचे उद्घाटन झाले. डॉ. सुमित्रा भावे आणि सुनील सुखथनकर या चित्रपटाचे दिग्दर्शक असून त्यात मृणाल कुलकर्णी, सुमित राघवन, सुबोध भावे यांच्या प्रमुख भूमिका आहेत.
राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार विजेता सिनेमा ‘कासव‘ आणि ‘वेलकम होम‘ चित्रपटाचे दिग्दर्शक सुनील सुखथनकर यांनी सांगितले की, ” २००४ मध्ये आशियाई चित्रपट महोत्सवात दाखवलेल्या ‘देवराई‘ चित्रपटासाठी अतुल कुलकर्णी यांना मिळालेला अवॉर्ड हा आमच्यासाठी आजही खास आहे . एक दिग्दर्शक म्हणून मला दडपण आले आहे आणि आशा करतो तुम्हा चित्रपट प्रेमींना आमचा चित्रपट आवडेल . ”
१७ व्या थर्ड आय आशियाई चित्रपट महोत्सवात मुंबईकर येथे प्रेक्षकांना आंतरराष्ट्रीय चित्रपट महोत्सवात दाद मिळालेले चित्रपट व लघुपटांचा आस्वाद घेता येणार आहे. अर्जुन दत्ता या बंगाली दिग्दर्शकाचा ‘अव्यकतो‘ हा चित्रपट व शेखर बापू रानखांबेचा ‘पॅम्पलेट‘ हा तीस मिनिटांचा लघुपट आशियाई महोत्सवात प्रदर्शित होणार आहेत.
मोबाईलच्या आसक्ती मुळे संपर्क तुटलेल्या नायक (नंदू माधव) आपल्याला ‘द ड्रेनेज‘ मध्ये आपल्याला पाहता येईल. ‘परसेप्टिव्ह‘ मधून आदिनाथ कोठारे ने धार्मिक सोहळ्यांकडे पाहण्याचा आगळा वेगळा दृष्टिकोन चित्रित केला आहे.
Poster of new Marathi film ‘Perfume’ launched
New subjects and unique titles for the films have set a new trend in Marathi cinema during the past few years. Now, one such Marathi film ‘Perfume’ is all set to spread the fragrance of love all over Maharashtra from 1st March 2019.
Recently, poster of this film was launched at Pune’s Dagdusheth Halwai Mandir in presence of all the artistes of this film. The film is presented by Amol Kagne Films, which had earlier produced an award winning film like ‘Halaal’ and also presented another sensible film ‘Lathe Joshi’ in the near past.
‘Perfume’ is produced by Dr. Hemant Dixit and Omkar Dixit . the poster of this film clearly indicates that it will be a suspense thriller combined with a love story. With direction and cinematography by Karan Tandale, the film stars Omkar and Monalisa Bagal along with Chinmay Mandlekar, Sayaji Shinde, Abhijeet Chavan, Kamalesh SawantHina Panchal , Anil nagarkar, Shilpa Thakre, Bhagyashree Nhalve and others.
Ranveer’s supercool gesture towards Amruta Khanvilkar
There are many actresses from Marathi film industry, who are huge fans of popular Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh. And one of them is Amruta Khanvilkar. Even otherwise, Amruta has her Bollywood connection, having performed prominent roles in some of the Bollywood films. So, it is but natural that Ranveer too is aware of Amruta’s acting talent.
However, not many are aware that Ranveer is known for surprising his friends and well wishers in different ways. So, he thought of giving surprise to Amruta too. Since both of them are busy with their respective commitments for shooting, one day Ranveer found time for Amruta. It so happened that Ranveer had come for the promotion of his forthcoming film ‘Simba‘ and at the same place on the other sets Amruta was in the shooting of reality show ‘Super Dancer Maharashtra‘. The surprise visit of Ranveer Singh to meet Amruta turned out to be a humble gesture and it also gave all the participants in her show new energy and enthusiasm.
‘MPM-3′ earns 5 Crores in 3 days
It seems that Marathi film industry is witnessing ‘Achhe Din‘ at present. Though the year 2018 is coming to an end, the past month saw good progress made by Marathi films at the ticket windows of the cinema halls. Best example was that of ‘Aani kashinath Ghanekar‘ which witnessed houseful shows during the first week, thus posing a good competition for Hindi films released during that period. Later, we also saw success achieved by ‘Mulshi Pattern‘. And now, there is news that ‘Mumbai Pune Mumbai -3‘(MPM-3) has earned 5 Crores in just first three days.
One thing is sure that if there are popular stars in the film which is supported by good story presentation, the film is sure to become a hit. Extremely happy with the overwhelming response from the audience to his film, director Satish Rajwade has thanked the Marathi film viewers. “Our films are considered to be better than Hindi films, when people look for better script. Now, it’s high time that all the Marathi film makers should unite together and see to it that next year the release dates of their films don’t clash with each other.”

New Marathi plays are offering quality entertainment
Unlike Marathi films, which need a very good script and music to satisfy the film lovers, our Marathi plays are well accepted by drama lovers not only in major cities of Maharashtra, but also at places like UK and USA. Many a times, we often find the tour dates announced by the Drama production house, to indicate that there will be no shows of the play during that period.
One such play ‘Eka Lagnachi Pudhchi Goshta‘ starring Prashant Damle and Kavid Medhekar and written-directed by Adwait Dadarkar has already announced that they have booking for 19 March 2019 in Manchester, UK. This play which was launched with inaugural show last month has celebrated silver jubilee show and is drawing houseful crowds. One thing is sure that if there are popular artistes and a good subject with nice presentation in a particular play, it receives an overwhelming response everywhere.
There are other plays like ‘Aamchya Hicha Prakaran‘ starring Nikhil Ratnaoparakhi, Bhargavi Chirmule, Nandita Patkar directed by Sachin Goswami and ‘Tila kahi Sangaychay‘ starring Tejashree Pradhan and Astad kale with the direction of Hemant Edalabadkar are also receiving good response from the Marathi drama lovers. Marathi actor Rohit Kokate is also inviting attention in ‘Date with Saie’
So far, we had only heard about Sai Tamhankar playing title role in the Marathi web series ‘Date with Saie’ released on Zee 5. But, now there is a lot of talk about her co star Rohit Kokate, who according to Sai herself has given a wonderful performance. Recently, Sai appreciated her co star’s performance, stating that he has performed so well that anyone would be scared of the character he has played in this film.
It may be recalled that Rohit Kotake is not new to acting field. He was earlier seen in films like ‘Kaul-A calling’ released two years ago and ‘Bogda’ which was released this year. Now, in this web series, his performance is not only appreciated by Sai and other artistes but also the viewers, who are watching him. The theme of this series shows how dangerous could be a particular fan’s love and admiration for his favourite artiste. And Rohit is playing that dangerous fan in this film.

After the release of the film ‘Aani Kashinath Ghanekar‘ Marathi film lovers talked about the fine performance of Subodh Bhave. But, at the same time they appreciated one more artistes from this film and she is Vaidehi Parshurami. Vaidehi invited all the attention of the audience in all those scenes she was offered in this film. Her character of young kanchan in this film has certainly helped her to draw big fan following. Marathi actress Bhagyashree Mote steps into Bollywood
Marathi actress Bhagyashree Mote who made her debut through Big banner Marathi film ‘Kaay Re Rascala‘ is the most busy actress today. This year her two Marathi films ‘Patil‘ and ‘Majhya Baikocha Priyakar‘ were released and now ‘Vitthal‘ is also getting ready for release by end of this month. But, the big news is that Bhagyashree is all set to make her debut in Bollywood through Traingle productions film which is directed by Hardik Gajjar.
Having performed in Hindi and Marathi serials, Bhagyashree has already become popular among home viewers. In Marathi she has performed in ‘Devyani‘ and ‘Pre Hey’, while in Hindi she was seen in big serials like ‘Devon Ke Dev Mahadev’, ‘Siya Ke Ram’ & ‘Jodha Akbar‘. No wonder, she has a big fan following. Now, her fans are waiting eagerly to see her in her debut Bollywood film.
Saiyami Kher took lessons of rural language from Siddharth Jadhav
Saiyami Kher who made her grand debut in Bollywood with the lead role in the film ‘Marziyaan‘ is now also making her debut in Marathi with the lead role opposite Riteish Deshmukh in the forthcoming Marathi film ‘Mauli‘. Trailer of this film is out now and Saiyami invites all the attention. But, not many are aware about the efforts taken by Saiyami to play this role.
Saiyami who is Maharashtrian can speak Marathi well, but in this film she had to speak rural Marathi language. Therefore, she worked hard to learn the particular dialect suited for her character. Siddharth Jadhav who is also playing an important role in this film, came to her help and Saiyami took lessons from him, whenever she found time on the sets, to get that perfect dialect. And this can be noticed in the film’s trailer. Like her grand debut in Hindi, saiyami wants to ensure that her entry into Marathi should also be in a grand way and we wish her all the best.
