Music of ‘Har Har Mahadev’ released in a grand way
Zee Studios presentation ‘Har Har Mahadev’ directed by Abhijeet Deshpande is a much talked about film today, as versatile actors Subodh Bhave and Sharad Kelkar are playing the characters of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Baji Prabhu Deshpande respectively, in this film. The Motion poster of this film was released few days ago, reminding one and all about the sacrifice of the great warrior Baji Prabhu Deshpande while fighting the great battle of Pawankhind against the army of Siddhi Jouhar.
And now, the music of this film was released in a grand way, with live show of international drummer Shivmani who played drum on this occasion, much to the delight of audience. It is for the first time Shivmani has played drum in a Marathi film.Music of this film is composed by Hitesh Modak . Another highlight of this film is that ‘Har Har Mahadev’ song in this film is rendered by Shankar Mahadevan on the lyrics of Mangesh Kangane.
Speaking about this film Writer- director Abhijit Deshpande said, “ It was my dream to make a film on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and it has come true with this film.” ‘Har Har Mahadev’ will be released on 25th October around Diwali time all over India. Besides Marathi, this film will also be released in other languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.
Prasad Oak, Amruta Khanvilkar win Fakt Marathi Cine sanman
Popular artistes Prasad Oak and Amruta Khanvilkar have been conferred with Fakt Marathi Cine sanman recently by the Fakta Marathi Entertainment Channel. Both these artistes were nominated along with other versatile artistes in the Best actor and Best actress category, but both of them have emerged winners, when their names were announced at a Special ceremony held at The Club, Andheri. Prasad received the honours for his performance in the film ‘Dharmaveer’, while Amruta received the same for her performance in the film ‘Chandramukhi’.
Film ‘Dharmaveer’ also won two more awards for Best film and best direction ( Praveen Tarde). Renowned Make Up man Vidyadhar Bhatte was felicitated on this occasion for his contribution in this field. Music director duo Ajay Atul, Veteran Actor Ashok Saraf was conferred with Special award and popular actress Sonalee Kulkarni was presented with Vicco Popular Face of the Year award. This being the first year of Fakta Sanmaan, there were entertaining presentations, including dance performances by Sonalee Kulkarni, Kishori Shahane and Varsha Usgaonkar. The telecast of this programme will take place on Fakta Marathi channel soon.
Amruta Khanvilkar and Prajakta Mali come face to face in ‘Chandramukhi’
Marathi film ‘Chandramukhi (चंद्रमुखी)’ which is all set for release on 29th April is the topic of discussion among Marathi film lovers, as the promotion of this film has already impressed them. Now, the fresh talk is about the Lavani in this film, which is pictured on Amruta Khanvilkar and Prajakta Mali, who have come face to face for this musical jugalbandi.
This Lavani has lyrics by Guru Thakur with music composed by Ajay Atul. Singers like Madhura Datar, Priyanka Barve and Vishwajeet Borwankar have rendered their voices for this Lavani with choreography by Deepali Vichare. Speaking about the different forms of Lavanis in this film, director Prasad Oak says, “ We have tried to offer this traditional form of dance in different ways through this film.”

Adinath Kothare to play ‘Daulat’ in ‘Chandramukhi’
Ever since the teaser of the film ‘Chandramukhi’ has been released, there has been curiosity to know who was playing the character of Daulat in this film, as the photo did not reveal the face clearly. Now, that curtain has been raised and the name of the actor has been announced as Adinath Kothare. ‘Chandramukhi’ is based on Vishwas Patil’s novel with the same name.
The film presents this strong character of Daulat Deshmane who as a leader was always there to help the people in need of justice. Produced by Akshay Bardapurkar, Planet Marathi, Golden Resho Films and presented by Creative Vibes productions, this film is directed by Prasad Oak with Screenplay and dialogues by Chinmay Mandlekar. According to the makers of this film, this film will be released in theatres.
‘Pondicherry’ is the first Marathi film shot on smartphone
Directed by Sachin Kundalkar ‘Pondecherry (पांडिचेरी)’ is the first Marathi film shot on a smartphone. Shot at the picturesque Pondicherry the film is all set for release on 25th February 2022. Recently, the poster and teaser of this film was unveiled on social media. The film stars Sai Tamhankar, Vaibhav Tatwawadi, Amruta Khanvilkar, Mahesh Manjrekar, Neena Kulkarni, Gaurav Ghatnekar and Tanmay Kulkarni in lead roles.
Presented by Akshay Bardapurkat, Planet Marathi, Vistas Media Capital Company and Creative Vibe Productions , in this film Sachin Kundalkar besides directing this film has also written the story of this film, besides producing the film along with Neel Patel. ‘Pondicherry’ has been shot with limited star cast in a period of one month. According to the writer- director, though the film indicates through its poster that it will be love triangle, it is actually an emotion filled journey . “With this film many versatile artistes have come together. Shooting this film on smartphone was challenging, but photographer Milind Jog has shown his skills. I am sure, the audience would love this film,” he said.
Amruta starts her own youtube channel to connect with her fans
Popular Marathi film actress who also has her admirers from Hindi film lovers, used to share the videos of her dances on youtube. These videos received very good response. Now, Amruta Khanvilkar has started her own youtube channel through which she will regularly connect with her rising number of fans. On this channel she will share with her fans all her favourite food, favourite shopping places and how she spends time with her mother etc.
Speaking about this launch, Amruta says, “Actually, after receiving very good response for my videos ‘Amrutkala’, I was inspired to start my own youtube channel. On this channel I will be sharing all important happenings in my life . At present I have decided to share at least four to five videos a month on this channel to keep connected with my fans.”
Unique tribute by Team ‘June’ on the occasion of Father’s day
On the occasion of Father’’s day, the entire team of forthcoming Marathi film ‘June’ has paid unique tribute in the form of a song on ‘‘Father’ which is a reprise version of a song titled ‘Baba’ from this film. This song has been penned by Nikhil Mahajan on the music of Shalmalee Kholgade and rendered by Anandi Joshi. For the reprised version, this song has received support from Anandi Joshi , Neha Pendse Bias, Shalmalee, Resham Srivardhan, and group of common friends comprising of Amruta Khanvilkar, Priya Bapat, Girija Oak Godbole, Mrunmayee Godbole, Parna Pethe, Gaura Nalawade & Sanskruti Balgude .
Speaking on this occasion Music director of this film Shalmalee said, “We don’t give as much of importance to our Fathers, which they actually deserve. This particular song ‘Baba’ in the film is a solo female track very well rendered by Anandi. Whenever I listen to this song , I get emotional. I am sure, even the audience will experience the same.” While the leading lady of this film Neha Pendse Bias feels , “ All the relevant things like Sincerity, hard work, honesty, ethics in my progress, I have acquired from my father and I am grateful to him.

Amruta shows the way through Yoga in present situation
During this ongoing lock down imposed due to spread of corona virus, many people are either living under stressful condition or undergoing depression. If we look at the lifestyle of our artistes, even many of them are undergoing through this phase, as their regular busy schedule has suddenly come to halt. How to spend time at home, is the biggest challenge for them. You just cannot spend time watching movies and shows or keeping yourself busy on social media.
Actually, keeping in mind your health, you need to be active mentally and physically too. Therefore ‘Yoga’ could be the best option, as you have plenty of time. But, for that too, you need the encouragement from someone. What if, your favourite artiste suggests you to do that? This has happened in the case of Amruta Khanvilkar‘s fans and admirers. Produced by Anand Pandit, Pushkar Jog and Mohaan Nadar and directed by Priyanka Tanwar, the latest Marathi film ‘Well Done Baby’ has been released on Amazon Prime last Friday. The film presents the story of a young Indian couple based in London. Both, Aditya (Pushkar Jog) a Counsellor & Meera (Amrta Khanvilkar)who is doing her PhD in Chemistry are in search of a purpose in their relationship. Things worsen and they are almost on the verge of divorce, after arrival of Meera’s mother (Vandana Gupte) in their life. . However, the news about Meera becoming pregnant holds Aditya and Meera together, despite few differences. How they deal with this issue, during this crucial period, is what ‘Well Done Baby’ is all about.
Written by Marmabandha Gavhane this film is very well presented by director Priyanka Tanwar who has made her debut as a director in Marathi. Shot in U.K. the film has captured interesting happenings in the life of this couple while interacting with Meera’s mother, the Marriage Counsellor ( Sanjay Jadhav) ,Fitness trainer, Parenting workshop Organiser ,Gynaecologist and few others. The scenes with Marriage counsellors and at the Indian style parenting workshop in London are well presented. The film focuses more on generating humour out of every important scene, no matter how serious the situation and therefore the would be working parents may connect well with these scenes in this 99 minute long screenplay. Music by Rohan Rohan adds some support at required places.
What holds you with this film are the superb performances by Pushkar, Amruta and Vandana Gupte, which are very natural. They have received good support from other character artistes. Cinematographers Satonio Terzio and Mohsion Khan Pathan have done a good job capturing the emotions of these artistes very well in close up scenes , besides capturing the beauty of London during some outdoor shoots. Salil Amrute’s sound design is good and costume design by Sunetra Mane needs a special mention. Certainly a timely released neat and clean film for Marathi film lovers on OTT platform, instead of watching those rough language web series .
Grand inauguration of Planet Marathi office
Last year we had heard about the announcement of new Marathi OTT platform with some big names getting associated with the founder Akshay Bardapurkar. Initially, Pushkar Shrotri and Aditya Oak became partners. Later, media man Amit Bhandari also joined them with Oscar Jury Ujwal Nirgudkar. Now, we understand that Vistas Capital Entertainment Company from Singapore has also shown interest to work with Planet Marathi; which is a big news. Recently, the new office of Planet Marathi was inaugurated at Andheri east, in presence of founder members and special guests.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Akshay Bardapurkar said, “When we begin our operations, Marathi filmlovers all over the world, will be able to enjoy the first day first show of Marathi films sitting at home along with their family members. This will also help Marathi films to reach out to maximum people.” Many prominent artistes from Marathi film industry were present to grace this occasion.
